  1. Would be happy to pay a bit more for my ticket to subsidise an affordable kids ticket.
  2. just looked up the season ticket for clyde £150. Think ours will be about £250
  3. Alright Bears, I live in leeds and cant bring myself to listen to the radio sports programmes at the moment so forgive me if this has been discussed. Its obvious to anyone with eyes that these f*ckers want to hurt us but are quite happy to take our money at the gate. I think this has a double edge to it in that on the big if that we are liquidated we get hit with all sorts of penalties, but i think by voting in the rule changes before the end of this season we will have no choice but to remain in the SPL as we will not have to re-apply to join as we would not have ben expelled. So if we wanted to go to another division or England we would have to resign and on that i think would take three years. So the league are covering thier own arse in terms of the SKY contract and in doing so want to keep 75% of the money we would have earned from the deal. I think this will be the real story.
  4. All said and done the individual behind the ownership is unimportant. It is the plan behind the PR, spin and telling us what a kind and generous multi millionaire business man they are. I have seen in posts that living within our means is the way ahead and i absolutely agree. But what does that mean? a decade of mediocrity and a half full ibrox stadium? i started going to watch The Rangers when we were awful in the mid 80's and it was not exactly inspiring. I have nothing against any of the potential owners but conversely i know nothing of the plan to move our club forward from any of them. At the end of the day we are used to watching Rangers operating on a budget outwith the income generated by the club so how do our potential saviours plan to increase the revenue of the club and connect with the fans to allow us to be all conquering and self sufficient. The first one to convince me gets my backing.
  5. Amazing result today we were the better team from start to finish with three great goals and some oustanding performances. It was a demonstration of what it means to be champions to a team of lightweights. So proud of the club. WATP.
  6. I know i am new to the forum and most people are wary of new members. I am Rangers through and through. I want to see the plan for the club post takeover and how they plan to make the club self sustaining and most of all that will deliver a level of performance and success that the club and support have come to expect. The bid by Mr Kennedy i would question as he bought Stockport County and ended up retianing the ownership of the stadium and sold the football club to the fans where the club now pays rent to him for the stadium. If this was to happen i dont see how we can move forward. I think as a default i find myself in the BK corner. But again buying the club then a share issue for the fans to own less than a controlling interest in the club. To what end will we be asked to buy into the club? I have said in an earlier post that investment in the club must be for the long term and revenue generating that will sustain us year on year and not be dependant on an owner with deep pockets. i would be asking serious questions of the decision makers what they see for the future and not just ask how much are we going to spend on players as this is one of the many reasons we are in this position. I want the fans to have a voice in who takes the club on as we are the only people who can make this work. Lets not be sucked in by the next slick multi millionaire with empty promises and schemes to extract money from our pockets.
  7. I would definately be interested in this. I would like to see evidence of a long term plan from those in control of the club. I want to see investment in the club put to establishing the long term sustainability of rangers without relying on debt or multi millionaires to fund player transfers, but investment that generates revenue year on year. In my opinion the greatest assets the club has are our fans and the stadium. I would like to see a long term plan that increases the capacity of the stadium as we are limited by this for big games where we could have mores fan than we do. With more seats available the club need not charge fans as much and fill seats that would otherwise be empty making a trip to ibrox more affordable to families. It might be pie in the sky but for a country such as ours and the variation in weather i dont understand why we dont have any enclosed stadium like the millenium stadium in cardiff or like those in the US. Would ths not open up new sources of revenue for the club for other sporting events and concerts as i have been to murrayfield and hampden and got pissed on from a great height and not really enjoyed it. If ibrox was a wholly more attractive proposition the club could do well from this. I think we ned to get away from the mindset of seek investment and then hand it to players and rely on them to generate income from success on the pitch as it does not take much for the financial health of the club to suffer when thing dont go according to plan, especially in europe. So all for investing in the club but lets make sure it is for the right reasons.
  8. Has to be the soon to be imortalised words of Mr Alistair McCoist "We don't do walking away" - Legendary
  9. Never felt so proud to be a rangers fan when i saw this on Sky. This quote will live with me forever. You are a legend Mr McCoist.
  10. Whoever gains ultimate control of the club has to come with a business plan to invest in the infrastructure of the club that will generate sufficient revenue that will allow the club to stand on its own. we as fans must must learn a lesson from this tragedy to question those in power even when we are winning that those in power do not bury the club like it has been. I thought Whyte at the beginning had a plan to expand the revenue of the club but recent events show that it appears he is gutting our club for his own gain.
