Sky clearly benefit from having us in the Spl . The OF game alone are very valuable but they were never seriously going to tear up the contract . This was all posturing to try and force Rangers back into the Spl. Sky Will add the sfl to there contract. The Spl Will pay the sfl a pittance and we Will carry on as before . New contract, Thats a different kettle of fish.

Its a sad day when you have to plunge back into the 17th century to find cultural relevance . Church of Scotland and the modern protestant community look for comfort and education from the word of Christ not king billy.

Its all very well for people on here to support the sfl but please remember they are discussing redistributing our money and undermining our power base. Rangers deserve a large proportion of the income in Scottish football and require a more dominant say as we financially prop up Scottish football. Its all very honorable to suggest Scottish football should be more democratic but all they Will do is steal our money and undermine our competitivness with bigger European clubs. Supporting the restructuring of Scottish football Will result in the weakening of Rangers. This is just Scottish football picking over our bones and hamstringing an already crippled club. If your happy handing your money over at the gate and for tv revenue for the advantage of the Aberdeens and Dundees of this world then this is the proposition for you.

I agree with the sentiment but disagree in the way forward. Scottish football struggles to support two teams on a European stage, now that the diddy clubs hold the power they Will drag us down to their level as they can clearly not rise to our level as the resources are not available in a country the size of Scotland . A remodeling of Scottish football would mean the down sizing of the old firm and I for one are opposed to this backwards step for our club. Most Spl teams are league of Ireland standard and we Will be pulled down if we allow the kind of redistribution of resources to go ahead. Already I see you Scots sporting EPL teams tops and this Will only be accelerated if we allow Scottish football diddys to wrestle our rightful dominance from us. In my opinion we must be a barrier to change . We must look after ourselves even to the detriment of other clubs. If we go your route our club Will face a slow death as the diddy clubs cut pieces away from us to protect or support themselves. We must do everything to block the continued erosion of our club and put all our efforts into finding a way out of Scottish football .

I guarantee there Will be a rule change concerning future clubs that go into liquidation . Voting structure Will be dismantled and the diddy clubs Will enhance their own position. We can sit here and hope for revenge , watch clubs suffer for what they did to us but the reality is they are calling all the shots. From which league we enter , to the punishments we face and probably the future of financially stricken clubs. That may be the worst part of this whole charade , while we lie broken and battered the clubs that should be helping us are picking our pockets. When we get back to the top the footballing environment Will favour the diddy clubs. We Will suffocate in Scottish football. There must be an alternative .

Being a Rangers fan has been easy for years . . . reflected glory is a wonderfully thing. In the coming weeks and months we Will see what our true support is made off. Ask yourself this, in your lifetime has Rangers asked anything of you ? Its reported that in Rangers time of need only two hundred of us have bought a season ticket . . . . . regardless of where we play next year Rangers needs true blues more than ever . Will you step up or Will you be a Scott Brown and support when it suits ?

It good ol cynical divide and conquer . Daily Record readers come mainly from the west coast . The further North and east you go the more theire circulation plummets . They are just playing the long game by publishing contradictory pieces on different days . They are no more on our side now than the SPL but like the SPL they require our money to survive .

I completely and utterly dismiss the economic argument. Division one with sanctions or division 3 without , there is clearly no discussion to be had . If footballing dedts were to be accepted you would start with a negative income , while requiring higher waged players and maybe reduced season tickets from disgruntled fans. Make it clear you do not make millions in the first division . . . I would suggest the financial difference between first and third is negligible . I would suggest the terms of negotiation are much higher . possibly first division , with sanctions or nothing.

Because the club and company are two different entities . The club has continued membership of the SFA even through it all , with the Same registration . Same as Celtic during the macann era. We must as a fan base , wake up to the fact that the club could end its registration to escape any demand on footballing dedts or punishment for ebts. We as a fan base must demand that re-registering the club is a non-starter.

Its obvious to us that our club Will continue regardless . We must ensure that the football authorities in Scotland and Europe share that view. Its all very well Sandy suggesting that our next league title is Our 55 th when the SFA and UEFA mark it down as number one. we must continue our registration with the SFA , even it means carrying over football dedts from the old co. Having to re-apply and re-register Will give substance to accusations . Get it sorted Green .

I am not sure their is an argument to be had . Its not their fault they find us applying to the sfl , nor do We have a right to demand a place . I am more than happy to play our way up the leagues. If the Spl dont feel our application to transfer our share of the Spl is acceptable then I am not going to hit out at clubs for refusing to parachute us into the first division . Third division to Spl champions. . . .we require no favours

I think you pose the right question . Why aren't we registered with the SFA ? Either the continuation of the oldcos registration or a new one ? My cynical view is that the SFA Will not allow us to continue holding the old clubs registration if we do not accept the "suggested" crimes of that club and maybe even the football dedts ? I would suggest green does not want to accept those terms but does not want to re-apply for registration hence not just becoming a new company but a new club in the eyes of the footballing authority . . . . . . but then again maybe I am just paranoid ?
