Playing an injured player is a disgrace. I don't care who it is.
Young Devine might not be the long-term answer but he can't be any worse than Tav right now.

Watched him quite closely at the game today as he was in front of me for the first half.
He had next to no mobility and was clearly in a lot of discomfort.
No driving runs with the ball, no overlaps of the full back & then being outpaced easily defensively.
We’re taking a massive gamble with him being on the park & that he doesn’t end up with a long term injury

Only a matter of time before he's out long term if what we've been hearing is true that he's been getting injections in order to play, it doesn't usually end well if this is the case and questions will have to be asked of the medical team.

No issues with 4 year deals.
Huge issue with offering them to players with histories of long term injury.

We seem to think as a club that the benefits outweigh the risks with these types of players. We seem to go in with the viewpoint that if these players can get fit they will be a great asset, which they would be, but they rarely do get fit

Look at that Helander Injury list prior to signing for Rangers.....
Ankle injury, knee Injury, fractured rib, knee injury, muscular problems.... did we need to offer a 4 year contract to land him? Would he have knocked back a 3 year deal? Now he's on the books till 2023/24.
Should we be offering 4 year contracts to players with that kind of injury history?

I think most of the frustration comes from offering injury prone players long contracts, I've never understood us even being interested in them in the first place, the argument I hear most is that we couldn't afford them otherwise but what is the point in having them if we only get a couple of months a season out of them? the signings of Roofe and Helander for instance had me shaking my head because I knew what would happen, great players when fit but they just disrupt the continuity after playing for what seems like a handful of games, and the genius who thought Soutar would stay fit should have been shown the door, I know his injury is different from his past problems but I'll bet a pound to a penny when he eventually gets over this one it won't take long before something else crops up and keeps him out long term.

Just listened to their podcast there, I used to be a fan of Edgar and thought he was pretty honest in his opinions but since he"s had media access he's just become another lapdog, I couldn't believe it when he said tonight that he didn't believe that the players chucked it and his reason for saying it, fuck me that's the final straw for me, won't waste any more of my time listening to him anymore.

TBF I generally quite like him, but he let's himself down at times, but so do we all. Generally he is decent and calls it how he sees it. Asking about Motherwell after that shit show was ridiculous.
Some of the others on the site are absolute lap dogs though, propaganda that wouldn't sound out of place in North Korea. The guy Colin? Is the absolute worst. Pathetic, petty, childish digs at Celtic. Absolutely no impartiality or original thought. Hate when he does the podcasts. He will always find a way to mitigate and minimise the club's latest nonsense. It's embarrassing.

The media access situation is contributing greatly to the situation. Davie Edgar was recently chided for asking about Davies absence from the starting line up and has now fallen in to line. In the post match press conference on Wednesday night he asked about the Motherwell game and how to raise the players' confidence 😄😄😄
Heart and Hand today has launched a defence of Gio, arguing that he has a better domestic points record than any other manager but Ally McCoist. Utterly irrelevant as all the matters is where we are in relation to Celtic and they're miles ahead of us.

No point in appointing a new manager until we get rid of the fucking midget, fuck having him pick our next manager.

The entire executive board and Park Jr need gone before we even think about a new manager.
Or would most of you like Wilson to pick the next manager? Specky Robertson have digs at the support? Blair fuck up the legal shit? Dickson make a mess of the finances?
