Thought he was excellent from start to finish yesterday.
    Defensively more or less faultless.
Passing was sharp and accurate down the line too.

I'm not so sure it would. Goldson brought his hands up to protect his face and he didn't make his body any bigger. So think even with VAR that one would not have been given as a pen.

Good  for Tav, but embarrassing if you are a Rangers striker with any pride in your work. They clearly  don't come anywhere near him.
Crazy that some on here say he isn't fit to be captain. He clearly leads by example. If only more of our players tried to emulate his efforts.

Almost certain that people will be seeing it through the prism of the men's game as well. Saying that the standard is rubbish itself suggests a comparison. Rubbish compared to what?
Women's football has had no time, investment, encouragement. Nothing. The more of those it gets, the more girls will play, the better it will be. Given how women have been disadvantaged historically in sport and wider society, the whines about a wee bit of money (relatively) going into supporting it are mean spirited.
Daughters deserve to be able to dream about this sport the way sons can.

Exactly, and when you add the other players listed, that's £27.5m with under £2m coming back on those. That's scandalous.

Loyal Bear 72 reacted to McEwan's Lager in Do you back the management team?
    I do but it’s fading.
The football is turgid but for me Wilson and a whole host of players deserve to go before Gio.
It’s the principle of it. The board backed Caixinha over guys like Halliday, Miller and McKay. They then backed Murty over Wallace and Miller. Gerrard got time and arguably shouldn’t have been here at the end of 19/20.
Here we have a Manager who has made them more money than any other through the Europa run and qualifying for the Champions league, hasn’t been given his own players, and we are going to allow a bunch of players that don’t want to be here themselves, regardless of wether he is the Manager or not, get him the sack?
    Nah, not for me.

    Think he’s worth another year.
Would only have him come on as a sub in games though. He still offers us something in that role

I get that they are glad we lost. I would hope for the same if the shoe was on the other foot (not that that would be remotely possible).
I can't understand the boasting though. Twitter is full of them like hahahah you lost a European final. Like they don't get how daft that sounds from them. A European Final.
I said it before, I'd swap any league title (bar a select few, 55 for example) for a stab at a major European final.
And still no one cares that they won the league this year. Us losing a match is bigger than them winning the title.

How do we reckon that'd have played out?
The SNP are full of hateful, two-faced scumbags that feel untouchable.

It would mean in principle that all clubs would have to hit 75% of games played. Which begs the question again why haven't teams been playing their games in hand when they should have been.

We've reached the Europa League group stages with Gerrard, with Caixinha we lost in the first qualifying round to Progrès Niederkorn.

Loyal Bear 72 reacted to GlasgowRangers1983 in Steven Gerrard - We`re on our way................ to 55
A lot of people are right to be expressing their disappointment with regards to not getting to the final of the league cup and for a stuttering start to the league but in my opinion there is no one better than Steven Gerrard  to take us to 55. I have seen more improvement in the past 6 months than we have seen in the past 6 years. He has only been in full time management for a short period of time and within that 1 transfer window he has managed to assemble a respectable squad capable in qualifying us into the group stage of Europa league and currently has us challenging for the league (2 points behind celtic after 9 games).
Are we the finished article? Of course not SG has signed up for a 4 year plan which will give him the opportunity to completely refurbish the squad and firmly put his mark on his style of play. For now he is still learning his trade and evidently making some mistakes i.e late subs or Morelos playing in the Ary match, Lee Wallace sub against Motherwell etc but he is only going to grow as a manager overtime and I fully buy in to the fact that over the course of this season we are going to have a lot of highs and certainly some lows but lets not forget where we were last season or the previous 5 years before that. I honestly think that if anyone is doubting his ability as our manager then  you need to remember where we have came from as a blind man can see the progress that we have made under his leadership.
The next transfer window (not likely January) will be the chance to start adding real quality to the squad as we certainly have the best core of players in recent years. For me this season can go either way and we may actually challenge celtic for the league or we might end up fighting it out for second place but with another few transfer windows under his belt I am confident that we are certainly on our way to winning 55. I am fully confident that SG is our best chance at stopping celtic from getting 10 in a row. For the first time since Walter we have a manager who understands what it is to be the Rangers manager. He does not come across as someone that will be content with 2nd place (McInnes Syndrome) and listening to his post match interview last night I think he is understanding that his squad is not good enough to maintain the high level of consistency that he is looking for or what is needed to successfully challenge on multiple fronts.

    Well done Gazza...the bigger man.
You're the greatest player to play in Scotland in a generation or more, you won multiple titles and multiple individual honours in your time with us.  As an Englishman, you're lauded by your own country (England) as one of their greatest ever talents and you've been inducted into their Hall of Fame.  .Off the pitch, you're the man who continually gave to charity and others less fortunate (over £1m I believe) without ever really telling a soul...you just did it.  That should be enough...
...but you told a "racist" joke once...something I'd say we've all done.  Your joke was an off the cuff,  low level, silly attempt at humour, without malice and without intention to offend, the kind of joke or silly remark that most of us have made at some point...but this time offence was taken and elevated to criminal status.  What did you do? You acknowledged it was wrong, you accepted that someone could take offence so you admitted guilt and took the punishment.  Crime of the century?  Hardly.
You also played a flute once and sang a song once or twice.  Like every football fan ever you sang apparently distasteful words, but in a private environment.  We've all done that too, other high profile players have also done this in public environments too .  But again you apologised for any offence, in your eyes it's banter, but you can accept some may take offence.  Crime of the century?  Hardly.
I don't believe you don't have a bad bone in your body, you have an illness which you constantly fight,  you're illness needs constant support. love and help...your friends and family all rally round to support...but that doesn't stop you falling occasionally....all that really upsets me is that' you've lashed out at a loved one...  Crime of the century?  Not good, but a you're a man with mental health problems (no excuse)and you know that was wrong.  You've sought help with that and been through the courts for that. You've been punished.  Recuperation continues though.
But for Scotland, and Scottish Football in particular, they want to shun you, pillory you, deny you recognition for your contribution as a footballer and erase you from the Scottish Football history books.  You say, in your own words, that you played some of the best football of your career when in Scotland, and us Rangers fans will 100% agree with that.  And that, Paul, is the problem.  You were too good for them.  You made them look silly, you teased them with the ball at your feet, and you joined in the fan banter to wind opponents up.  And then you compounded it all by scoring a wonder goal against a country's national team, that, outwith Rangers fans, didn't like you anyway.   Now that just wasn't on, and that brings us to where we are today.
It's not because you sang a song or two, it's not because you wound up opposing fans, it's not because you told a "racist" joke and it's not because, unforgivably, you hit your spouse...it's because you were a thorn in their side, it's because you played for Rangers and it's because you were English and scored against the Scotland national team that they've held these grudges against you that's resulted in this insult.  This is their revenge.  Nice people eh?
Gazza, remember, we are the people.  We are the people that lauded you, appreciated you and will forever hold you dear.  You'll always be loved in Scotland by the people that matter to you.  You're OUR and your countries Hall of Famer.  We are the people and you don't need anything else!
