  1. My first game was Dumbarton away, Boghead 1973 we won 2-1. I was 7 years old at the time and I had pestered my Dad for ages to take me to a game but he always went with his mates and it was the time when weans weren't allowed in any pub at the time. Waiting outside the pub became the norm after that with another kid who's dad also went to the games with my dad. We have remained firm friends ever since.
  2. The GCC cooncil are currently considering their options. They will procrastinate until the very last minute on a decision which will be made 3 minutes before kick off in our first home game. They will then bus in swarms of GCC parking nazis to book every car, bus, van and minibus without a residential permit and thus raising enough rvenue to keep the cooncil Rolls Royce going in fuel for a few months with maybe a wee skim off the top for a swally for oor Susan and her nationalist chums before the next home game for the sellik.
  3. There's a theme here, sorry, but again i disagree with this too. Tav is bursting it at pre season in Spain from what I've seen and I don't see Gerrard splitting him and Candeias up. I can see Tav being a regular first team choice this season but maybe in a more forward role with Flanagan dropping into RB. Maybe. Who knows?
  4. To be honest i haven't really seen any slacking in the training videos but then again they are only a few minutes long. What is amazing is that Andy Halliday is still there.
  5. Come on guys cut them some slack. The plastics have no got anyone to support at the World Cup so they're gonna have some spare time to make up anti Rangers garbage
  6. I'm going to disagree with you here. Having watched all of the training videos and all of the player and coach interviews on RTV I think the difference between Gerrard and the previous incumbents is quite stark. He speaks better I think and doesn't use any of the sound bites we have heard previously. His atitude is miles better and he has a level of professionalism that we haven't seen at Ibrox for some years. He is a well respected guy throughout the football world and on that basis I have a load more trust in him than the others. Of course the proof of the pudding will be in a couple of weeks time but from what I have read, heard and watched it's hard to keep a lid on the enthusiasm.
  7. That's just the perfect way to spend yet another unemployed morning. It detracts from the boredom while your waiting on your smack delivery.
  8. I get puffed oot just watching those training videos. In that heat as well must be murder. Just the sand dunes at Gullane to master and then they might be at a decent level of fitness.
  9. Bloody hell! Who knew Jim Davidson used to play for us? Bet his "Chalky" jokes went down well in that dressing room.
  10. Watched all the training videos on RTV last night. I have to say I was impressed. The shooting drills were brilliant and it was great listening to SG giving them encouragement. Looks like the team are being subject to real high intensity training procedures. Compared to what Murty was giving them it's night and day. RTV is well worth the money IMO.
  11. When I saw the thread title I was gonna say "too many earls getting through" but I think we've done that one to death before
  12. I'm currently half way through Gerrard's book and if things work out the way I reckon they might then we should be in for a good season. However, previous seasons would suggest that we keep our tinder dry. Gerrard is a born winner. All he wants to do is win and be the best he can be. He eats, shits and breathes football. He said in his book that he can tell if a player will make it after watching him in two training sessions, and he went through a number of former Liverpool signings who he had watched in their first training sessions who didn't cut it and ended up on loan or sold. I am assuming this is how he has come to his decisions about who travels to train in Spain. The training regimes will be toughened up, I have no doubt and we will notice the improved fitness levels straight away. Football skills will be impoved and we will see a different style of football to the dire pish we've been forced to endure under the last three managers i'm sure. Gerrard is a great man manager. He was used extensively at Liverpool not only in his position as Captain, but he was involved in attracting players to the club as well as coaching those who needed a psychological boost now and again in order to get the best out of them. Everything a captain should be both for club and country. He's a completely different animal to the last three stooges we've had and I am expecting great things from him and I'm really looking forward to the coming season.
  13. How much has he played for the first team? He seems to score goals for every team he plays for but I don't recall him playing many minutes for the first team.
  14. Bleed Rangers! Need a few on the park who will
  15. Brilliant work. Well done to all involved, it is appreciated
  16. Renewed weeks ago. Never in doubt. Why? I want to be there when it all goes right for us. I wanna see 55 I wanna be there when we scud the paedos off the park I wanna see Josh Windass lift the Golden Boot I might have been a bit silly about the last one.
  17. Well unless you're the same religion as Nir Bitton
  18. How far is Marmaris from Altinkum? Will be there in August
  19. Being a Rangers supporter over the last 5 years should see us all fresh out of feel good factor. We had a few moderate ups quickly followed by some mighty downs so any confidence we might have should be very reserved for the sake of our own sanity. A hell of a lot of things need to change at our club before we can expect any progress to be made and the feel good factor to return. We need a board that isn't infested by those who seek to further their own ends before furthering the interests and progress of the club and who are prepared to invest, and raise, proper funds to facilitate success. We need a proper PR department as the current incumbents are incompetent at best. We need a board, or an individual, who will stand up for the club and it's supporters and defend it, and us, against the constant barrage of attacks from the insidious Rangers haters in the media and from those within the Scottish Football organisations. And finally, we need a team of players on the park with enough heart and backbone to play the game as if they mean it, know what it means to be a Rangers player and led by an individual worthy of the captains armband. The appointment of Steven Gerrard is a drop in the ocean of what is required and for the feel good factor to return there is a very long, rough and rugged road which we will have to travel.
  20. That was a Kerrydale Meltdown special on twitter. Tim couldn't celebrate cos of what is going on in palestine. I would post the link but I'm in twitter jail at the moment
  21. I have as much of a clue about what the OP is on about as he does about what's happening in the real world I suspect. Boy needs his hole
