I’d rather Scotland did well, but when they lose I don’t feel remotely fussed about it. I took my boys to the Costa Rica friendly a few years and I’ve never felt so uninterested in a match I’ve attended. I felt no attachment to the team or the fans.
Having said that I won’t criticise anyone for supporting them and going to the games, but as for those who didn’t think they’re Rangers fans - that’s more embarrassing than supporting Scotland could ever be.

Appreciate I'm a bit late in replying. No, that wasn't his career stats, it's with us. I can't find the tweet again but even Wikipedia has him on 59 games with 26 goals for us - not far of 1 in 2.
I’d take that from him for the rest of the season, but I’m not convinced it’ll happen

Different laws for the rich, or shall we say brown envelopes for the judges.
I have the gut feeling this guy has no remorse for the crime he committed.
Probably doesn’t think he did anything wrong, so isn’t going to show any remorse.

Seems like I’m in the minority, I was wanting it played prior to us playing them
I agree. Go into the game 2 clear and come out 5 clear. Makes more of a statement.

£94 for me and the boys to go through to Edinburgh and watch Man utd reserves. That'll be getting patched.

“Football Insider” saying we would accept an offer of £15 million for him.
They’re not really going out on a limb with that prediction.

I was sure I saw his stats last week that he has either scored or assisted (and in that number it's mostly scored) a goal every two games he's played.
He'd only played like 90 odd games and missed 60 odd in his time here.
Yeah, that’s his career stats, though. They bear no resemblance to the player he is today.

what if he was to stay fit for the remainder of the season, scoring a barrel load of goals, helping to secure the treble, would people be against him being offered a 6 month extension, with caveats inserted stating if he breaks down again then everything is over, but if he stays fit and keeps scoring, then another 6 month extension next Jan?
With that caveat, yes. However, if he’s scoring a barrel load of goals and we don’t offer him a contract of one or two years, someone else will.

The most natural , instinctive striker we've got , and something we've missed with the chances we've created.
Sadly his injury situation should mean no extension , but if he does manage to stay fit for the rest of the season he'll score goals .
2 goals in 619 minutes (transfermrkt). I’m pretty sure in those 619 minutes a natural, instinctive striker would have scored more than two goals with the chances we’ve created.

A bit harsh, he's coming onto a game and playing a left sided role.
Not at all. He’s a decent, solid defender, who I think played above his normal level last night, which is great. But he continues to have an absolute howler in him.

Played well last night, but his level should be no more than the bench going forward next season.

Because this is at a time in the season where we need our supposed quality players to step up. Any Rangers forward player who isn’t a striker should be expecting to score in what is almost 1 in 3 games. It isn’t as much of an ask as you think it is.
Right, so it's not based on anything these two players have actually done - just a theory? I hope you're right, and I don't think it's a huge ask for forward players who have shown they can already perform to that level to do so again, but Cantwell and Silva don't come under that heading.

In 11 games? I’d fully expect that from Cantwell and Silva at the very least
Cantwell: 6 in 34 so far.
Silva: 4 in 14 so far.
Going by their performances so far, it’s not out the question for Silva to get at least 4-5, but requires improvement. With Cantwell it would require an incredible improvement.
Yet you ‘fully expect’ that from them? Why?

The concern isn’t Dundee or the likes. It’s the old firm, the impending battles at Hampden as we chase a treble. He just doesn’t have it in him to score with a half chance or even a single chance in a game and that’s what ultimately will cost us unless Lawrence, Diomande, Cantwell and Silva dig us out with 4-5 goals each in the run in.
The bit where we broke and he just knocked it by their CB and got outpaced within 3 strides was so embarrassing.
4-5 goals each is unrealistic, but if our midfield continues to score as few goals as it currently does that will cost us as much as Dessers potentially will.

For our main striker, our only striker, playing the full 90mins, i disagree, especially when the stats say that he'll score them in 4 games and shoot blanks in the other 7 games
We dont have a lot of goals in the rest of the team, he is our focal point striker, most of the decent chances fall to him, he needs to score way more
If we don’t have a lot of goals in the rest of the team, that’s not Dessers’ fault. He was poor again, last night, and has to take the blame for that.
However, the lack of goals in the rest of the team is down to the rest of the team.

Hopefully, give him a confidence boost. He’ll probably just get injured again, though.

I’ll be stunned if he’s not in the dugout at Ibrox.
