  1. Let's not sound too paranoid... 1) Ten Point Deduction for Admin. This is by the rule book 2) 3 Years Ban from European Football. Again, by the rule book 3) Demoted FROM SPL, to SFL Div 3. Eventually...after many trying to gain for it, by the rule book 4) £160,000 Fine. Made up fine - completely unprecedented 5) £900,000 Frozen for Second Place SPL. Not heard about this - is this true? 6) Loss of app £20M of Players . = 13 Pla yers Nothing to do with SFA/SPL - just the law when we liquidated 7) 12 Month Transfer Embargo. Made up - completely unprecedented Apart from point 5 - which I've not heard about, the total sanctions from the SFA/SPL were a fine of £160,000 and the transfer embargo. I think that the fine is a drop in the ocean, so can't be arsed considering it really. The transfer embargo is bogus if we pay off our football debts to other clubs so should never have been applied - totally ridiculous. In summary, I'm pissed off about the transfer embargo, nothing else - they were always to be expected in this situation or are tiny in the grand scheme of things. Am I pissed off enough about the transfer embargo to close the club for a year? No. Just sign the fucking agreement and get back to playing football rather than posturing to fill the columns of the newspapers. They can 'take' all the titles they want, but they can make me believe their numbers as opposed to my numbers. This EBT thing was a tax thing, not a football thing. The financial collapse was a financial, not football thing. The financial things have been dealt with by liquidation and there's nothing that can ever be done to right them (although, unlike any other liquidation, the newco has agreed already to honour football debts) On the football things, there is no case to answer, so further sanctions (above what's already been applied) are bogus. Rant over
  2. We haven't been punished or kicked when we were down. The Reagan/Doncaster fiasco has made it look like a battle but when you take them out of the equation, our club was liquidated, then the new owners were allowed back into Scottish Football. Ignore the shitey politics. What we are now is 100% correct. Not our fault, not Charles Green's fault, not Celtic's, Inverness's, Kilmarnock's or any other club's fault. Only Murray and Whyte's fault.
  3. Tosser! Good post OP - that's what it's all about!
  4. My rep is low because I have no time for neandrathals that mix politics (loyalism) and sectarianism with my club. Fuck the lot of you. I have been a gers fan for more years than most of you idiots that spout the same pish as yer dad. I'm a proud (non-believing) proddy - brought up well and don'thate anybody (apart from Michelle McManus - not because she's a Tim, but because she's fat - fattism is OK in my book) We'll be back stronger than ever - mostly because the tits who 'support' the club hopefully will find something else to do. We are not an irish club - they are - we don't need to do that. Pissed off from Milton Keynes
  5. Ye're all sounding like the pastic paddies FFS Grow up
  6. If Hibs go into adminstration, no they won't be treated the same. If their debts warrant liquidation, I'm sure they will.
  7. Remember the bunnet across the city? He invested in them when they were on their knees - I think it was £6m. He said he had a five year plan - at the end he walked away with a tidy sum in his pocket and they were stronger for his intervention. Wake the fuck up! Being in it for the money does not mean our club won't gain from it. If he doesn't produce a stronger, debt free, top of the pile Rangers, he won't get as much in return. There is nothing wrong with someone willing to put the time, effort and money into the club to improve the 'product' If he can return us in 3 years (I'm not interested in the one year shite) debt free and stronger than anything else in the SPL I won't grudge him one penny of his profit.
  8. I had a thought the other day. The club IS going to have to fae sanctions. Even though the civil courts say that the transfer embargo is illegal, the SFA/SPL will need to make sure that whatever they come up with is equal to if not greater than the original sanction. The options: 1. Banned from the Scottish Cup - it's already been said that other clubs have had this punishment for failing to fill forms in properly, so that won't happen. 2. Kicked out of the SPL, and hope for SFL Div 3 acceptance. Sky would go ballistic. Three years without the OF - no chance. I'm not suggesting it, but there is a middle ground. Within the SPL rules, would there not be an option to deduct enough points so that we become the relegated club? We drop down for one season to SFL 1 and return the next. Punishment served. We will also return to the SPL debt free - a situation that no other club will be able to boast about.
  9. I take back what I said the other night. Liking this bloke. I haven't wikipedia'd him or googled him - so know nowt more that what he said in his BBC interview. Seems like a decnt, honest, upfront guy. The cloud are parting now and maybe, just maybe, there is something good on the horizon.
  10. Saturday will be much the same as today. Somebody (not a Dingwall, Murray or Kennedy) needs to start a campaign for everyone to own the new club - not a set of fragmented ones with egos in charge See ya next friday!
  11. I joined this forum a few months back, mainly to get as up to date as I could news about the problems and potential solutions. From day 1 (OK only a couple of months back) I've thought that liquidation was the only way out. Now I see even worse. D&P are going to fail to get a buyer and the club is going to be liquidated - that's waht I see. Not the fans, not the history yada yada. We will then have no Rangers. Some groups will then coalesce (is that how you spell it?) to 'save' the club/team/ethos. There may be 3 or 4 chucking money (maybe a million, tops)at renewing the 'real' rangers - making applications to the SPL, SFL, West of Scotland Junior Division to allow 'Rangers FC 2012', 'Rangers 2012 FC' or 'FC Rangers 2012' to be accepted into their ranks. This will continue to fragment the support. If D&P are looking for more than 10,000,000 or so to buy the heart of the club, why can't we do it? Not the guys in suits, why can't we? 40,000 or so season ticket holders. Ask them to continue to buy their season tickets, but look to them to put up £250 (or the poorer ones £50 and the richer ones £1000) - £10,000,000 income, sorted. Let's not fragment behind bidders, let's get together (not with the Dingwalls, Minis or other self triumphalist arseholes) and just get this done. Rant over
  12. Exactly A couple of cans too many - with access to t'internets..."all (substitute whatever group you hate) are bastards" You're in the Bar-L for 6 years! T'interwebs were supposed to be open access, not policed for political/media/spin doctor reasons
  13. This is good, very good! The moral outrage that the EBT thing resulted in is laughable. I'm not saying that tax avoidance is good (unless I can get away with it) But it's one rule for those in power and another for those not in it. Richard Bransen (spelled that way to avoid the internet police doing me for libel) has probably stashed away 1000% more this year untaxed than the club has in the last 10. None of it is right. We will pay our dues, will Bransen, Suger, Osbern, Rothschilde et. al. do the same?
  14. Clearly I've got to be very careful on this one....but If someone walked up to me in the street and said "I'm going to kill you"....and I believed that the threat was credible I would undoubtedly go to the police If someone told someone that someone that I knew that "he's a prick, he's going to get his comeuppance" - I would not This ---> ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ An Aberdeen man has admitted posting a threatening Twitter comment after Celtic's chief executive said the club did not need Rangers. Ryan McDonald, 21, wrote "Lawwell needs a bullet simples!!!" about Peter Lawwell in February. He admitted breaching the peace by sending a message of a threatening or offensive nature. Sheriff Wendy Sheehan deferred sentence at Glasgow Sheriff Court for more information about the case ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Don't know the bloke and (for the law enforcement peeps viewing) cannot condone the statement. But FFS...when you stick 'Simples' and the end of a statement (maybe he should have done the xchee xchee thing!) Does this bloke deserve jail or fines or whatever Or is the law just an ass? (not saying that it is officer, just asking the question of my peers)
  15. The 9-3 voting comment was good. The whole team being on £20,000 was false. The rest of it the ramblings of a poor demented soul...
