Love that in spite of the age of Ibrox it is still held in such regard. It is a special place. The stadium at number 1 was actually modelled on ours too although has been upgraded since. If ever we are at that point then we should do something similar.
... and Ibrox was modelled on?

I'd forgotten about Rangers Unite
I didn't include the Association in my original post...but Dingwall created 'issues' within the Association, his divisive behaviour more than anything and his use of FF to promote or exclude the views of others.
As for RF, sorry - but they need to be included here. A brilliant idea which was successful on it's own merits (and one which I have continually praised), but subsequently went down the shitter due to jumping into bed with the RST (despite the promises otherwise) and now being nothing more than the RST mark II.
The self-promotion of some, the infighting, backstabbing and multiple resignations in under a year of its inception is proof of this.
Dingwall...2012. RU 'another fans group created during our crisis'. Not true says me. Banned for life from FF.
RF guys n gals all decent folk. The amount of work they put in can take its toll on private life. I believe the 'Club' is behind the creation of Club 1872 due to RF success. Like the assembly/murray.

We've had the:
RST
Assembly
Association
Buy Rangers
SoS
Rangers First
Club 1872
(all the above inexplicably linked and each as toxic as the last...you see a recurring theme here?)
Then we have the merchandise:
Fleshers Haugh (RST spin off)
Red and Black shirts (RST spin off)
Lionbrand (originally donating C1872, possibly RF previously not 100% on that btw - now going direct to the club )
The Loyal Standard - going direct to Dingwall
SoS merch - going fuck knows where. Lotto and a football academy apparently.
(all the above inexplicably linked...you see a recurring theme here?)
I've most likely missed a few, but you get the gist. People often wonder why we're divided as a support, there's your answer above. The same recurring names / cliques and toxicity.
Not to mention the various fan groups (TBO, UoF etc etc). Is it any wonder why we lurch from one clusterfuck to another.
We truly are 'The numerous People'
Take RF and the Association out and aye, its depressing. The Association goes way back, but unfortunately seems to have missed out in keeping up with the times. For me RF evolved from Rangers Unite. Not really a fans group with a label. Just trying to bring all together under one roof and safeguard our club via share ownership.

Yes a CIC can cease being a CIC, the members of Club 1872 are also the members of the share owning CIC and the projects CIC, or I believe that is the the intention. This might change once properly constituted so that the membership of each reflects how each member wants to allocate his/her donation.
It would be a complicated process with the members either becoming shareholders or relinquishing their membership. The community assets in the asset lock would have to either be transferred (sold) to the shareholders for full value and the funds dispersed in accordance with the legislation. Alternatively pre cessation the assets can be transferred elsewhere in accordance with legislation. Consent would have to be sought from the CIC regulator.
Am I correct in thinking under projects CIC you cannot donate money to the Club without getting something in return eg own the pitch etc. Also, entering into a preemptive agreement (ie to get first refusal on future shares). How does this work?

Hi GB,
I'll donate a Founders Trail scarf. Just need to tie in with FT to put one aside if available.
