He's ovbiously being looked at as a left midfielder,most of the experts on here probably havn't seen him play for 5-6 years. From his time at Norwich and Cardiff (which isn't ''nowhere'') I guarentee his final ball is better than what we have.

This. 30-40 crosses in yesterday and not one hit Boyd, his work-rate (and Miller's ) was excellent, the delivery was a disgrace.

Coaching wide players to cross should be reserved for an under 12's side, if they've got to this level and cant provide consistent delivery there is a real problem.

Derby have a much better football team, they have a bigger budget, better players and consistently play at a higher level than we have in the last 2 seasons. People need to remember it's the Scottish Championship we need to win, not the English one.

I think he would be an effective player at a good level,he's a destroyer, he works hard and breaks up play. Problem is that fans only want to see exciting players in these divisions who will create and score lots of goals.

I think our form is fine....We haven't lost a home league match since April 2013, or an away one since October 2012.

McKay is a typical fans favorite,pacy, skillfull but unfortunately lacks a football brain, almost always makes the wrong decision. We have given plenty of oppertunities to youngsters over the last 2 seasons, in fact it would be rare to have played a game without a recent academy graduate. In 12/13 Chris Hegarty made 29 apps, Kal Naismith 24, Barry McKay as much as 34, Lewis McLeod 31 Ross Perry 17, 19 apps for Fraser Aird, 30 apps for Kyle Hutton and 10 apps for Kane Hemmings meaning we gave 194 games just to these Academy graduates. in 13/14 McLeod made 24 apps, Aird made 37, McCausland made 7 apps, Gallagher made 6, Robbie Crawford made 25, whilst (Scott) Gallacher made 6 appearances. Kyle Hutton also made 13 appearances meaning Rangers gave these players a total of 118 matches. This means that over 2 seasons we gave academy graduates 312 matches, I begin to wonder whether Ally is right about the players we've developed not being good enough, he's certainly giving them chances.

Motherwell have the same problem every season in Europe, they lose 3-4 key players every year and are a shadow side in July/August, by the time it hits February the new signings have gelled into the team and they're flying,. Impressive from Aberdeen, Luzern are also no mugs and St Johnstone did well to progress. Aberdeen and St Johnstone by the way....both have settled teams (virtually the same side they had the season before) and didn't lose key players.

At that age no-one is the finished article, I think he's outstanding and his performances for Everton last season were of the highest order. A disappointing world cup doesn't make him less of a player, and for that matter a great world Cup doesn't make James Rodriguez (who scored one goal last season) worth 80 million either.
