  1. I thought we didn't do walking away? You people need to think things through. As for boycotting away games, that would hit our club financially too. Stop being stupid and grow up, you're doing more damage than good with these tantrums.
  2. You seem to be a bit confused about a few things: In the SPL rules and regulations, the articles of formation, etc, there is no reference to the idea that the SPL Board or any of its directors would be responsible for choosing the chairman of individual clubs. I don't know where this idea came from. Also, I can only imagine the reaction of Rangers fans if the SPL or SFA had stepped in when Craig Whyte took over and told Rangers fans that they wouldn't allow him to takeover. You talk about fans like me but what are you suggesting we do? Throw a tantrum? We live in a society with things called laws and policemen, civilised to an extent, so there are limits to what we can do. You say they should have known because it was covered in a BBC documentary; as I recall that was broadcast several months after Whyte took over -- again, though, it would be people at Rangers who would be held responsible for allowing him in. Due Dilligence would be the previous owner's responsibility, it concerns business law and acquisitions. You go on to talk about corruption at the SFA but as far as I know nobody else is seriously suggesting that -- I don't think HMRC are investigating THEM. Since we live in a democracy maybe you could be the first to suggest it, conduct an investigation, and provide evidence. One thing you are right about is that Rangers fans did not sanction Whyte's takeover, that's true. But, I don't think they sanctioned David Murray's either, or any chairman's takeover at Ibrox ever. The fans don't get a vote or a say so I'm not sure how they could sanction anything -- the role of fans at Rangers is to pay up and cheer, that's it. And to my knowledge that is what we done, we paid and we cheered when the Whyte Knight took over.
  3. I think it's time we all accepted that we might not get through this with a Newco or anything.... Shoot the messenger all you want, it's the truth. W
  4. Just one slight problem... It wasn't the other clubs in the SPL that caused us to go into admin, or orchestrated the EBTs, or hired Craig Whyte, or imposed these penalties announced by the SFA, etc, etc, so why take it out on those clubs?
  5. The ban on buying players is unlikely to affect us: 1) in the third division we wouldn't need to buy any, 2) if we close down and cease to exist in any form , no Newco or anything, we wouldn't want to, and 3) if we stay in the SPL we are going to be skint anyway for the next few years. Those are all the possibilities that we currently face, there aren't any other possibilities. Just as well they didn't ban us selling players, then I'd worry.
  6. We were the ones that rubber stamped Craig Whyte's involvement, more so than anybody else, don't you remember the way he was welcomed as the whyte knight in shining armour? You seriously blaming the SFA for that? As for what we can do, nothing but wait; it's out of our hands. There's a time for just being patient and waiting. Shouting abuse at the SFA will not help. Clearly they aren't pulling any punches with us yet you suggest you give them reason to do more damage.
  7. His diving was a disgrace, really stuck in my craw... should have got rid of him years ago.
  8. Defend ourselves how? Exactly? What are you proposing?
  9. You need to cool it, this forum matters a lot and what we say reflects the whole support base. I appreciate you are angry, we all are; tonights developments were possibly the biggest kick to the teeth of a dog that's down we have ever experienced. We will get back up on our feet. Don't say anything that will incriminate yourselves or reflect badly on the club at this most crucial juncture. This is the bottom, things can only get better now...
  10. Buzz, it's clear that certain elements in the media and the institutions of football are out to get us. We need to be careful here and give them as little reason as possible to shut us down. When we get through this, we can do our fighting on the pitch; let's show them how to play this fucking game, that's what we are about...

  12. I can see that our people are starting to get impatient and angry at both the lack of positive events and, most recently, the completely twisted way that the SFA and others are throwing the boot in at us. We are all understandably angry and very concerned now. I would ask all fans on this forum and elsewhere to be true to our cause. It will not do us any good throwing insults and threats around at a time like this. I would specifically request that everyone who regards themselves as a Rangers fan on this forum and those who attend games, refrain from any sort of sectarian or religeous abuse. We need to show everyone involved that we are a dignified yet resolute support base. That our support will not waver, come what may. We need to prove to them that our team with its support is worth saving. Above all else we need to be patient. It would take a nation of millions to hold us back. Whatever happens, as long as we remain determined and united as Rangers supporters, we absolutely will get through this. Threats, bigotry, religeous hate crimes, and vile absue towards the Footballing authorities and others, is not going to help at all. It might, however, just be enough to pursuade people in key places that this club is not worth saving...
  13. I agree... events today, or the lack of them, have shown that this was another complete pile of tosh... just what we needed. "I am he who knows" has just shown us that he knows nothing. In terms of what is happening, the administrators have made clear that neither bid is workable -- don't try and make out that the penalties imposed by the SFA ar what resulted in delays today. The fact is there isn't a bid on the table that is acceptable, that much is clear.
