  1. If we can’t win these next 4 games then we don’t really deserve to be champions. Imo only a complete capitulation from that lot will result in us being champions and I just can’t see it happening. Everything about last Sunday just points to buckling under the big moments
  2. Having 2 separate organisations running things doesn’t do any good either. The game in Scotland could and should be solely run by the sfa, there is no need for more money grabbers taking every last penny out of the Scottish game as there’s hardly any as it is.
  3. How on earth Charlie mulgrew still gets picked is beyond actual madness. Bunch of no hopers and while the media wax lyrical about McGregor it just goes to show it’s the players around him at the dump which make him look better than he is. who is even the guaranteed starters for Scotland anymore?
  4. I think of the 2 teams the pressure is more on Rangers to win the league and stop the run. Just by looking at the scums results and goals for you can see they aren’t setting up to contain and just win- they’re doing the opposite. Letting other teams worry about them and that certainly isn’t what teams under pressure do. Tbh pressure is more of a mental thing that I seriously doubt we have the personnel to deal with it. The manager has never won a league title, The assistant last won a league in 1992 and we have Davis and Greggs that last won a league in 2011. after last Sunday’s performance from the management to the players I only see 1 likely outcome as far as the championship unless the tims end up with the he likes of Forrest, christie and Edouard injured and a major upturn in our quality of play. As the side to side crap that we are being served is only good enough for failure, and we’ve just done a deal worth 7.5million for Kent to go was part of a team that failed last season.
  5. It’s the reclaimed ppi from the loan with Lloyd’s under David Murray.
  6. Whilst winning 17 games on the spin is totally beyond this team, a Rangers sure full of disappointment should be able to win the next 9-10 games on the spin. This team run out of ideas too quickly too often, and yesterday the players never had the bottle to actually over take celtic by beating them and going clear. That was too much for this team and imo we’ll only beat celtic in games where we are chasing them down- we don’t have what it takes to actually challenge them.
  7. I think Aribo was signed as this talisman to do the bursting runs forward etc and ojo was to replace Kent. I think Aribo can do himself justice in the long run, but ojo looks another version of ejaria so far.
  8. Bad day all round. Obviously amplified by who the defeat was against but although we lost today I’ve seen enough over the season and a bit to say that we could easily turn up at celtic park and get the win. Gerrard made a mistake in playing Kamara and Defoe today, even last week Defoe looked absent and Kamara either over performed when he joined us or is under performing now, goldson every game gives me the fear- English Bert konterman. I genuinely expected Morelos to start against a makeshift centre back pairing so the mind boggles as to what the manager thought. Arfield again for me lacks intelligence when in possession, I like his tenacity and his persistence with the ball but a little more thinking is needed from him. we can still win the league but we’ll have to be better than today
  9. Had a few good feelings before these games and we’ve gone on to win the games, 3-2in2002 Scots cup final 2002,league cup 2002, league cup 2003, last December and April the semi in 2016, i think after all the years we can have a good idea by watching the players attitudes in the games running up. Add in the ultimate high of a last minute qualification although it was deserved you would have to agree the players will be on a massive confidence splurge. Whatever the score we win by 1-0 or 4-0 this game could really take us flying after the international break
  10. Tougher than last years draw that. I don’t know if it would’ve made a difference but how on earth are wolves in pot 3? They only recent trips to Europe for them has been euro disney
  11. There’s no doubt re runs being watched very closely, however we as a support have invited this scrutiny, so could we if this charge goes ahead being the 3rd one be eliminated from the competition? the club has tried countless times over the years to send the message out that sectarian stuff won’t be tolerated in and around the stadium. So I can’t see how the players should be punished by supporters singing songs. Imo uefa included sectarianism in with racism as they couldn’t find a mechanism to punish clubs as hard. By putting it under the racism umbrella it makes everything a lot lot worse than it is. imagine 8 games of slogging it out to be kicked out the competition for songs
  12. Well if someone manages to hear some pro ira chanting or Palestine chants at a game that is under uefa then surely they’ll receive the same punishment as our fans have tonight with 3000 missing the game. If not then complaints would have to be put in and I’d expect the board of Rangers to highlight other offences which fall under the racism banner of uefa.
  13. In all fairness regardless of the boards timing of the statement we’ve known all along since 2006 that the billy boys especially and any FTP songs could land the club in hot water. Grown men should be wise enough to know this by now- the fans can’t blame the board for this 2nd charge, it’s been in the rules now for 13 years. It’s like speeding down a road with mobile cameras- most times you get away with it but then you get caught and because your pal drove down the same road and didn’t warn you- you then blame your pal. And now we see fans talking about fights with uefa! Love to see how this would pan out
  14. The scarf twirling used to look great. Especially when the unwashed were giving ynwa big licks. Tbf though if we’re talking offensive songs then the billy boys is without a doubt the best ever offensive song in the history of offensive songs. The Villarreal game in 2006 was the best I’ve heard it, couldn’t even hear the champions league anthem before kick off!
  15. Although 1 was a defeat play like we have the last 3 times and we’ll get the 3 points and win with a good margin. The ref can only have an effect if we don’t do the business on the pitch- remember the st mirren league cup final?? 2 men off yet we were still good enough to win the game and that’s the way it should always be at Rangers.
  16. With the sfa I’d say anything is possible when it comes down to altering the rules.
  17. The only way I see uefa not punishing the club again is basically to refrain from sing anti pope anti catholic songs. For me there’s nothing wrong with the traditional Rangers songs aswell as the sash udr4 etc. Songs that tell a story. All uefa have done now is make it easy for the SFA to hand down stand/stadium closures for games and quite frankly that is totally unfair to people who have no interest in specific songs and quite embarrassing aswell
  18. Normally I’d say yes but we just don’t know what Gerrard thought at that point in the match- maybe thought as legia were in the ascendancy and our players had turned into 2walls of 4 and 5 that upsetting that with jones could cause us more problems. I think he played it safe
  19. While I was thinking he should also have made a sub when it looked like around 70 mins the game was going away from us, I can see why he chose to stick rather than twist. Also imagine the bedlam in this place if he made a sub and it turned out the wrong decision! He’d have been slaughtered on here for making the change so the manager can’t really win. 0-0 is a lot better than losing 1-0 and with the home tie next we should be confident of scoring twice if we look back at our home games in the competition so far.
  20. Nothing, forwards can back in on defenders and get free kicks yet despite a goalie having around 2ft of advantage (arms) it’s deemed a foul.
  21. Katic was good- read the game well and I like his davie weir type of defending. Threat at set peices too. Goldson on the other hand still gives the fear and tonight again let’s the ball bounce and loses the ball in a dangerous position.
  22. If they buy more Scottish based players then I’d say it’s game on as playing well against either half of the oldfirm is easier than actually playing for us or them. While their defenders look nervous and dreadful they are still scoring some amount of goals. Itll be close this season not as close as 2003 but it’ll be close.
  23. All depends on the rest of the window. If they go out and spend some good money like we did after the Kaunas humiliation then they’ll be Certs for the league. I still think we need Atleast 1 more quality player to be title winners. Going out of The champions league qualifiers doesn’t really have a bearing on league positions imo, it’s about us having the ability and determination to beat teams that are giving 110%.
  24. Thought he look ok against us when he played for hibs. Don’t know his stats or anything but I still don’t think the squad we have is title winning material. tbh if we sign Kent I still think we’re short as I’m pretty sure the stats on him weren’t that great either despite the hype around his performances against the filth.
