Atleast the manager isn’t stubborn and recognised the need for more creative players.  I’d be more worried if he came out and said he thinks the squad is fine etc.   Going on about windass being a loss is quite laughable, if windass never hit the net then he was useless, Nicky laws cousin invisible man mk2.

With most teams now playing 5 in midfield it would take serious quality for us to go with 2 upfront.  We’d highly likely need a full new middle 4 as they’d have to quick with their brains and comfortable taking the ball under pressure.  As far as I’m concerned Defoe can only play with another that does most of the hard/dirty work- abit like how Boyd could only play with Miller.    
I think Defoe will be gone in the summer and we’ll line up with different players but assume system

Looking at transfer fees across the board you’d have to say a team worth 10 million isn’t going to be much of any better than a team worth 3-4 million.  And granted we’ll always pay more for players than the rest except celtic do just because teams know we have it..  it’s upto the scouts etc to be more diligent and also upto the board and mark allen to actually tell us the clubs ambitions and expectations over the next season or 2.

id think he would’ve lined up 4-5-1 and had us make Aberdeen come out more then swiftly play on the counter just like we did under his 1st 18 months back.  Knew we weren’t creative enough so never tried to play that way.
 
we could’ve easily had Morelos uptop with a sitting 3 of mcrorie,jack and Kamara with Kent on the left and arfield with his energy played on the right.  I’m just at a loss as the manager keeps playing the same players in the same system despite admitting they let him down in games and don’t follow the instructions.

He’ll go to the highest bidder as long as the club receive a bid that’s inline with his ability. Not like the bid we accepted for jelavic 5 million or whatever it was.  18 million minimum for the lad.  IMO he’ll do the biz in any league- he looks a constant nightmare for defenders and will only get better.

It will only ever be look at as whataboutery.. all you have to do is look at the talk sport headlines one Thursday and Friday.. there’s uproar, all big bad Rangers and it’s fans. Yet anything they do wrong is swept under that big carpet,  it’s blatant propaganda- it can’t be classed as anything else. It’s definetly not impartial reporting as Monday’s headlines would’ve been the same as fridays just swap 1 team for the other.   Any negative headline that can be twisted to involve Rangers is published, a guy could steal a motor or rob a pensioner and the headlines would be so and so a Rangers fan when in fact football has nothing whatsoever to do with the offence. Then we look to the football fans arrested on racism charges against Morelos up in Aberdeen.  Well it definitely wasn’t a Rangers fan abusing the clubs top goal scorer was it?  So it was obviously an Aberdeen fan yet we see no mention.  A celtic fan gets arrested at football and it’s a supporter in green and white scarf- never mentions the club.
ofcourse the head in sand loyal will just accept it and accuse others of being paranoid.

Every manager makes mistakes. The main problem we have is average footballers that sometimes play well and other times play horrendous football. The decision making and lack of vision by players, players hoping and expecting others to step up for them.  
They are all signs of mediocre players.   That only significant spending will sort out.

No chance of us lifting anything.  3 trebles on a trot is a stick on for that lot,  we just don’t have a single player capable of winning at all costs.  We may get past killie but the sheep will do us up there.  The players are fragile wee fannies

Can’t fault Defoe’s finishing but if we fail to supply him then he’ll do nothing..  something which our fans and midfielders fail to fathom

both have done worse earlier on and not been banned at a time when SG was saying the refs weren’t being fair to Rangers. Yet as soon as we go quiet and get 1 dubious penalty awarded to us the media overdrive has a massive influence on the decisions we will or won’t get between now and the seasons end.  It’s so predictable what would happen, someone on here mentioned the tims rolling out some no mark to issue a statement and guess what. Tom Boyd comes out with bolloks about wanting refs to say if they’re in the masons and potentially wanting foreign refs employed.
