  1. Worth remembering that telling Black/Shiels, "You can find a new club", and actually getting rid of them, are two very different things.
  2. Fair point, but we know that the sentiment of the Romanov statement went far deeper than simply him.
  3. I think there was quite a way round it though. There was no initial shortfall, TV deal was still the same at the time (who knows what it'll be next year) and the ticket sales from Rangers lost, I assume they would have justified it by saying they would've lost income from their own fans. Don't get me wrong though, we all know there was more than meets the eye in terms of the decision.
  4. Perhaps you're right. Despite the threats and campaigns, however, it still was a bold decision to take, as the clubs knew exactly what they'd be losing out on.
  5. Apparently he's set to walk just now! Pretty gullible, to be honest. Cheers for the comments, guys.
  6. http://garrycarmody.wordpress.com/2013/06/13/the-heart-of-the-matter/ Threw something together following on from Hearts dropping the "missing Rangers income" line.
  7. He's quickly developing into an annoyance more than anything else. His divisive stuff and talk of "prominent fans" is becoming extremely wearing.
  8. Alright chaps, not been on here in ages due to exams and stuff. Wrote this up yesterday about the signing of Jon Daly and some of the shit that people are trying to stir up about it. http://garrycarmody.wordpress.com/2013/05/27/welcome-to-rangers-jon-daly/
  9. Im looking forward to it, think it will be a good read. Lot of good guys involved and I'm pretty sure they have a plan for the profits, don't think it's been revealed yet.
  10. As I said, he's not here as a big player or to be big decision maker, he's there as someone the fans can trust, and he knows more about the club than any other board member. If he leaves, there is likely a strong reason for it. And if it does happen, we need to question why, and who in the boardroom can we trust.
  11. http://garrycarmody.wordpress.com/2013/05/09/the-walter-effect/ My thoughts on the prospect of Walter Smith stepping back from the club.
  12. Questions will most certainly be raised if there's any truth behind. Richard Wilson has been one of the most fair and impartial writers out there on the situation and he isn't looking to stir it up. I suppose there's little we can do until the accounts are out.
  13. Get lost, no time for this stuff today. There's a party happening if you didn't know!
  14. To be fair, mate, it doesn't have much to do with what was done to us, more to do with where we stand just now and where we go next. I appreciate honesty though.
  15. http://garrycarmody.wordpress.com/2013/05/01/who-said-it-would-be-easy/ What I've had to say as we can only hope things begin to came down.
  16. This handwringer crap is embarrassing. Wish we could just drop it.
  17. Nah I think it's just a coincidence.
  18. Love this song, hopefully a few more can join in for the title celebrations.
  19. For a start, the account has hundreds of posts, so it's not as if he's just popped up as some sort of response to time when boardroom leaking has gotten pretty bad. Sure, leaking isn't good and right now it likely is doing more bad than good to the club, but appearing anonymously on the Internet to try and making libellous claims, and trying to give out boardroom leaks through a faceless account is one of the most unprofessional things I've heard happen to our club. Anyway, we'll just be going round in circles here. By the looks of things, he'll be away soon enough and I doubt we'll ever hear anything of this again.
  20. I'm afraid things don't work the way that the fans might want it to work. If someone behind the scenes feels that they need to get something out into the press, they obviously contact the biggest media outlets in the country. If folk think the club will join them in a hatred and boycott of every media outlet that says something bad about us, then I'm afraid we're very wrong. It's not ideal and it's not what we want to see, but we shouldn't let it detract from what we are seeing unfolding before our eyes. And right now it's not a pretty picture at all.
  21. True, and quite frankly at this time they'll put anything down to sell a paper. Interesting to read that he may have a few articles coming up. I just get the feeling this is going to get worse before it gets any better.
  22. Thanks for bumping this, didn't see it first time around. It's fantastic to read stuff like this. To think have done in recent times to the club started by a group of boys who just wanted to play football could make your skin crawl. Keep up the great work guys, I vow to one day get the weekend off to take your tour!
  23. It's Keith Jackson that has really pissed me off in recent times. His columns are filled with innuendos, half questions and insinuations. If he has something to say, come out and say it instead of pissing about and trying to draw people in.
  24. If you're aiming this at me, I'm not simply talking about Rangers and media outlets. I'm talking from everywhere. Every big business, brand, politician, you name it, leaking is inevitable. Of course, leaking to the press from Ibrox just now is becoming quite a highlighted problem, but it's something that has to be dealt with in businesses. Entering a fans forum posing as a regular fan and dripping out their side of the story is so ridiculously unprofessional, and if it's true, the quicker the person is removed from the club, the better.
