  1. Good read again, although one statement was from Romanov and the other was from Hearts. A bit like us saying we should not be able to change our official club stance on previous CW statements.

Fair point, but we know that the sentiment of the Romanov statement went far deeper than simply him.

  2. And the duty to shareholders in endorsing such a move which they knew would be to their financial detriment ?

I think there was quite a way round it though. There was no initial shortfall, TV deal was still the same at the time (who knows what it'll be next year) and the ticket sales from Rangers lost, I assume they would have justified it by saying they would've lost income from their own fans.

Don't get me wrong though, we all know there was more than meets the eye in terms of the decision.

  3. Gary

Do you really think it was a "bold decision" or one driven by fear in respect of the hatred which had been demonstrated ?

Perhaps you're right. Despite the threats and campaigns, however, it still was a bold decision to take, as the clubs knew exactly what they'd be losing out on.

  4. Sorry mate, not on your side with this article.

He's there as non-exec, I think his influence is over-hyped as much as I agree he wants what's best for Rangers I don't think he's in a position to stop any wrong doing.

Not fussed if he goes to be honest, we need a clearout.

As I said, he's not here as a big player or to be big decision maker, he's there as someone the fans can trust, and he knows more about the club than any other board member. If he leaves, there is likely a strong reason for it. And if it does happen, we need to question why, and who in the boardroom can we trust.

  5. Apologies.

Just a bit tired of thread after thread which goes over old ground.

We know what was done to us and we will never forgive or forget.

Revenge will be all the sweeter when we are back at the top.

To be fair, mate, it doesn't have much to do with what was done to us, more to do with where we stand just now and where we go next.

    I appreciate honesty though.

  6. Put yourself in the shoes of IA

day after day he sees malicious leaks to the bheastly press feeding our enemies with propaganda which is damaging the club and driving the share price down

Can you really blame him for redressing the balance?

For a start, the account has hundreds of posts, so it's not as if he's just popped up as some sort of response to time when boardroom leaking has gotten pretty bad. Sure, leaking isn't good and right now it likely is doing more bad than good to the club, but appearing anonymously on the Internet to try and making libellous claims, and trying to give out boardroom leaks through a faceless account is one of the most unprofessional things I've heard happen to our club.

Anyway, we'll just be going round in circles here. By the looks of things, he'll be away soon enough and I doubt we'll ever hear anything of this again.

  7. But no consequences for the person or persons leaking info to the media outlets that labeled us as tax cheats and accused us of financial doping, of cheating our way to 54 titles, of being a bigotted institution that doesn't sign Catholics. Nope, that person or they persons have Rangers best interests at heart so sweep sweep.

I'm afraid things don't work the way that the fans might want it to work. If someone behind the scenes feels that they need to get something out into the press, they obviously contact the biggest media outlets in the country. If folk think the club will join them in a hatred and boycott of every media outlet that says something bad about us, then I'm afraid we're very wrong. It's not ideal and it's not what we want to see, but we shouldn't let it detract from what we are seeing unfolding before our eyes. And right now it's not a pretty picture at all.

  8. Scottish football journalism - might aswell take a shite on a piece of blank paper. Provides more insight than the laughing stocks we have reporting on our game

True, and quite frankly at this time they'll put anything down to sell a paper. Interesting to read that he may have a few articles coming up. I just get the feeling this is going to get worse before it gets any better.

  9. Yea assumed this. Wasn't sure if I'd just missed something.

Jeesus, why does everyone e always have to hold back something.

If people have evidence of wrongdoing etc, stick it on the fucking table. Tired of all this shite, the fannying around, show us the deeds and all the pish.

It's Keith Jackson that has really pissed me off in recent times. His columns are filled with innuendos, half questions and insinuations. If he has something to say, come out and say it instead of pissing about and trying to draw people in.

  10. "People at our club have been leaking information to our enemies for a lot longer than just this last 18 months so its all ok nothing to see move along"

If you're aiming this at me, I'm not simply talking about Rangers and media outlets. I'm talking from everywhere. Every big business, brand, politician, you name it, leaking is inevitable. Of course, leaking to the press from Ibrox just now is becoming quite a highlighted problem, but it's something that has to be dealt with in businesses. Entering a fans forum posing as a regular fan and dripping out their side of the story is so ridiculously unprofessional, and if it's true, the quicker the person is removed from the club, the better.
