Northern Ireland football is real football. I went over with my daughter for the first Linfield home game against Institute. If it wasn't for the cost of flying over we'd come very week. You feel like you're with proper football fans, not the Sky TV Premisership Brigade.

Broadfoot, Healy, Edu and Whittaker were all Internationalists.

I had just posted in the other thread about board inaction that we should call out the BBC for that cunt cosgroves hatred.
I do think though that Rangers should have called a press conference and read out a statement like that.
The likes of sky news would have broadcast it nation wide and it would have had far more effect.

StJojnstone are in a higher league and are a better team. Why are people so angry at the performance? There has been an unhealthy amount of arrogance by some fans and it will do no harm for the team to come up against a bit of reality.

From experience our support is apathetic to protest .In the east end the beggars would probably have broken down the front doors by now and had the Manager tossed onto the street .We on the other hand talk a good game ,threaten to do things while the old classic "let's not go down that route old chaps " that's not the Rangers way ,or that behaviour is for beggars .Seriously I know the majority of bears would love shot of McCoist but they are shy ,apathetic if you like .They will leave it to the next guy to make the protest that they probably want to do if they could be arsed.As a support we just don't give a fuck " enough" and rise above our arrogance that we have to be seen to be some sort of stiff upper lip support .The watching world does not give two fucks if we were to act in the "beggar way" and physically tell Ally to get to fuck " It's our pride that makes us think that this behaviour is somehow alien to what everyone else does .I started my physical protest at the Hearts game at start of the season where I was the only one heckling him in the enclosure after we lost to Jambos .Not one person in that area joined me .We talk the talk but we can't walk the walk when it comes to what we say the majority believe and want .

Let's just imagine that it was Celtic who had our problems in 2012 and got busted down to D3. Their manager, Lennon, stayed with them. hey got promotion but played clueless and unattractive football and had a wage bill so high that it was playing havoc with the club's finances. The following season they continued in the same vein, having signed more dross and added to the wage bill with players with no resale value at all.Let's say the manager ws shamed into cutting his astronomical salary to a level that was still far too much for the league in which his team were playing How would the Ally supporters react to this? would they say that Lennon was doing a great job and needed to be given as much time as he needs. Or would they be pissing themselves laughing and hoping that Celtic kept hold of him because as long as he was around there would be nothing to fear.

I don't see how having the 2nd largest wage bill in Scottish football and therefore expecting a decent level of football/comfortably beating part timers is being spoilt.

Ally thinks this performance is 'OK' so he'll not be apologising, just taking his fat salary, joking with the lads, presiding over a backward 'coaching' set up, and looking to spend more money on substandard players.
