    Absolutely.
You know, you just absolutely know, that he’d be back in the Treatment Room Dominoes Team (until he pulled out with a knuckle injury through chapping) before the ink dried on any new deal.
Any of our recruitment or football management team who raise the possibility of even discussing a new deal for Roofe should be put on immediate gardening leave, pending dismissal.

He could score in the next 10 games and still shouldn't get an extension.

We should put out a message that given our injury list we'd be delighted if the game was off.
Surest way to get the game on 😁

The same Dundee with the email scandal?
They probably added more water onto the pitch.

Thing is, now id expect our recruitment to be much better with CL football and CL money,
3 of our starters last night were brought in the summer pre CL nightmare (and i dare say had things turned out differently we'd have had colak last night as well) and none of them were actually able to play in the CL bar colak
A few more additions to our squad and absolutely no reason we can't hold our own against the bulk of the CL, top teams youd expect to spank us away and beat us at home, but teams in pot 3 and 4 we should defo be talking about competing with and looking to beat

I've never seen a Rangers team so depleted and on their arse as this one. We need to drive them on when we can no hamper them and that's what we've seen on here since last night. Thank fuck the Ibrox crowd were not a reflection of this place last night.
I hate international breaks and somehow they always seem to fuck us after them but by fuck do we need one.
Incredible guys like Tav are still going. Even big Lundstram looked leggy last night.

Rangers miss out on the quarters so Scotland are left with no teams in Europe as Big Phil’s squad was hampered by available players tonight & can feel aggrieved by the penalty award in the first leg.
Rangers have earned approx. £17.1m in the Europa League; separate entity fc by comparison earned approx. £30.6m in the Champions League (both excluding ticket sales).
Scotland retain top 10 in the UEFA rankings (but it's not decided yet) Viktoria Plzeň drew 0-0 AET to add only 0.25 points to the Czech total, Slavia went down 3-1 (7-3 agg) & Sparta are currently 4-0 down (9-1 agg).
However as Plzeň progressed on penalties, the Czechs can still overtake us before the end of the season.
If Plzeň can manage one DRAW from their two quarter final legs - Czech Republic will end the season in 10th & we will be 11th If we finish 10th then next season's SPFL Champions will gain automatic entry into the Champions League.
If we finish 11th then next season's SPFL Champions will have one Champions League qualification round against a Champion from outside the top 10 leagues (unless it's Rangers; they would very likely still qualify automatically).
Our top 10 status will definitely come to an end at the end of next season though - because season 19/20 will drop off our total.

That was our best season in the last 5 years where we scored 9.750 points We will currently start next season 16th (but have until the end of next season to fix that) which would come with loads of repercussions for the league - so let's hope we have a much better season in the new format Below are coefficient points added this season - both to Scotland's Country coefficient and each individual club's coefficient, as well as where each club sits in the overall UEFA rankings.
We deserve as the sole Scottish entry for at least the next two seasons of CL Groups so let’s get 3 points on Sunday and grab 56 this season as it’s in our hands. I don’t want to read excuses of player tiredness.

Was there tonight and wanted to win, missed a good opportunity to get through to the next round.
Players were absolutely out on their feet with about 20 minutes to go though. Don’t have the squad to go deep in Europe while competing for a treble.
Disappointing, but focus is on the league now.

@ger4life_1872s comment was pretty terrible to be fair. Imagine the disruption that would cause with cunts waiting on their bins getting picked up.

I don’t see why some of our fans need someone to blame. I’m not gonna blame anyone for that tonight. We got beat by 1 goal over two legs by a decent European team whilst we have a depleted squad. A win tonight would have been tremendous but unfortunately it wasn’t to be. We’re top of the league, in the cup semi finals and have the league cup already under our belts. I’d have give my left bollock to be in this position back in September. Tonight was a step too far but the treble is definitely on.

Convinced we have a bunch of tarriers on here... how anyone can be blaming the manager for the loss over two legs is beyond mental.... That was fucking Benfica ,... their budget dwarfs ours.... we gave a real good account of ourselves and a couple of breaks we could have gone through this tie. PC is a miracle worker with some of the players he has had to work with ....

Gutted to be out but win this league, get in the Cham league and give PC all the money we can possibly scrape together

Quite a class illustration Benfica have put on their FB for the game. Hope we're taking note of the banners. It's a good idea for the end of the season with all the trophy wins we'll have on them 😉

I hope the Ref is not taken in by their diving and rolling around as if they had been shot after a wee foul by one of our players.

If this is not the right part of the thread please move.
Sheriff Lindsay Wood, Glasgow Sheriff and well known Rangers fan has passed away. He was always in the Director's box at Ibrox and like many Bears, he followed the team everywhere.
He was also instrumental in setting up the Drugs Court which helps addicts get clean and get there life back. He probably saved a few lives by doing that as he treated addicts as people who needed help and needed someone in authority to actually believe in them instead of putting them down as just another junkie. When an addict died, he had silences for them, such was the measure of his compassion. Woe betide an accused if they abused his rules though as he would come down on them like a ton of bricks.
He also made sure lawyers were kept in line too. I had a good few run ins with him when I was on both sides of the table but once you stripped away the bad mood, you learned that he was just trying to help you.
His Chambers in the Court were a Shrine to Rangers and were dubbed Little Ibrox due to the artwork he had on his walls. He was always up for some football chat once the business was done.
He only retired last May and there was a huge party for him, and he kept everyone well supplied with alcohol. That was the last time I saw him and we had a laugh over things I had done as a Junior Lawyer before he told me to watch out for his brother.
    I will miss him
    RIP
