Tbh mate you’ve got to trust any manager with any signing. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but we’ve signed some players who were world class at a point and never worked out and then signed some who you’d scoff at that turned out to be good. It really is a hit and miss. 

It's not shite. It's a proper league ran by competent governing body that have teams willing to play proper football without knuckledragging neanderthals that bring the standard so far down it wouldn't look out of place in the 70s.

There is absolutely not a chance on earth that we are turning over 98% of this squad in the summer. It’s fucking fantasy talk. There’s a huge disconnect from our fans to reality.

He certainly knows how to deal with the press, always polite, but never gets drawn into places he does not want to be.

I think whatever he had planned was scuppered to some extent as we conceded a goal almost instantly, knocking us off balance. 

He’s some manager and already stating that he loves the club and city. 
 
One thing he has consistently said since being here is that he loves a football environment and winning trophies. Doesn’t strike me as the type to rock up to a Wolves or Bournemouth when he’s not got a hope in hell of winning anything. 
 
There will only be a few clubs he would go to and that’s clubs with a chance of winning every year. I can honestly see him here for 3-4 seasons and it’s about time we got some stability about us and hopefully a period of sustained success over them.

Rules are rules, I don’t like the handball rules now but as long as they are applied consistently and fairly without any form of discretion applied then that’s fine. It’s when you see the last game where Johnstone literally punched the ball  and it wasn’t given as a penalty (you can talk about sima being offside all you like but if he was offside it would have been a free kick, the fact it was a goal kick shows they didn’t even consider the hand ball).
