  1. The link road through the east end between the south ring road and the north ring road of the M8 was planned years before the Velodrome was ever thought about. The decision to build the Velodrome was taken several years before the Commonwealth Games was ever given to Glasgow. London Road Primary School which Celtic have applied to demolish was closed because they had a school roll of 44 in a school which had the capacity to hold 400. However, the Scottish Sports Council staff were to be moved from Edinburgh to Glasgow and use the school as part of their headquarters in the Velodrome...the staff refused to transfer through and the plan was abandoned. Having went to the school, plus my own children, as did my mother and uncles before me, it breaks my heart to see it go but there were never ever any other proposals for its re-development and the Tarriers have seen an oppurtunity to get their hands on the building and surrounding grounds.Quite easy to blame the Labour Party but what I cannot understand is 'If so many Rangers supporters don't vote Labour, then why aren't the Tories in control of the City Chambers'...simple answer the majority of us don't vote in local elections where the majority of local councillors are returned on votes cast in seats where less than 44 percent of the voters turn out to vote. So don't blame the Labour Party or any other party for our apathy and lack of organisation when it comes to local council elections.
  2. Once again the poor old east end is getting the brunt of it. I was under the impression that the whole of Glasgow was blighted by drug sellers, drug users etc.,...I am sure that the east end does not supply or feed the whole of Glasgow and the West of Scotland drug habit. Considering that the traditonal east end areas of Bridgeton , Dalmarnock, Parkhead , Shettleston and Tollcross has been left like a desert for nearly forty years by successive City Councils and Westminster Governments it is about time something was done to improve the area. Considering what the area gave to the British Empire prior to the industrial demise of Clydeside it is not before time that money is spent to improve the infra structure of the area.If Glasgow was deemed to be the industrial centre of the Empire on which the sun never set then the East End was the engine room of that once mighty Empire. Meanwhile I am sure that the band members of Bridgeton Loyalists, Bridgeton Noey , Camlachie , Dennistoun Rangers and the YCV etc., are happy for their districts to be referred to as nothing more than drug infested tarrier holes. I wonder if young David Cooper Templeton will soon issue a statement that he was born and raised in Bearsden and not the drug infested east end. PS Remind me ...where was it our great club were founded and played their first couple of seasons. Flesher's Haugh on the Glasgow Green which is where...Bridgeton, I believe.
  3. In order to sdafeguard their jobs we should rip up the contract between ourselves and G4 and provide our own stewards at Ibrox in future rather than paying those wanna be feckin coppers a weekly wage.
  4. If Green said that then Brown has a moral obligation to come out and say it NOW and not make threats about saying it.
  5. I would normally back the Union Bears to the hilt on something like this but I don't see the point , especially on a wet Thursday night of all night, Saturday might have been better in order to gain a good turn out. Sorry lads I will not be able to make it as I will be packing and finalising my plans for my trip to the Somme this weekend, but best of luck to you and your endeavours.
  6. I know there is rumour after rumour flying around at the moment but I was texted at the weekend with a message saying McGregor was thrown out of a hotel in Edinburgh after being caught snorting white powder - anyone else heard this latest rumour or is it just another 'have you heard this one' curently doing the rounds.
  7. Outwith McGregor who I think will get a good move to one of the bigger clubs in England the rest will struggle to further their careers with a move to a top club and as for Scotland and Northern Ireland they aren't exactly high up in the world rankings as International teams go. Thanks for the memories lads but you will always be seen as being Rangers players who were bought and sold for English or foreign gold when our club was at its lowest ebb in her long and distinguished history.
  8. I am all for the fans getting some form of control on the board but would not support or contribute to any fans consortium which would allow Dingwall and his lapdogs to get their feet under the table. If anything we should learn from all this debacle is we never trust one individual ever again to be in complete control of our club irrespective of how much money they have or their standing in life.
  9. Irrelevant who runs Rangers, they leave as deserters. Better men were 'shot at dawn' for falling asleep at their posts during the First World War.
  10. I have already earmarked the Blackburn v Watford match for one of my Hornets away games this season...I will leave them both nameless. Mo Johnston Watford Loyal
  11. I have it on good authority that he is also a closet Tarrier who used to go to the local Papish Chapel in Ayr with his mother Roma when he was a youngster. The Tarrier media are hunting for our scalp at present and then they will turn their attentions to Murray and his crumbling Empire.
  12. "There is no good feeling around his bid. He has made no secret of the fact he and his associates are in it to make money. I cannot believe that this fat prick said that...
