  1. Great guy, real workhorse who always put in a good shift. He was never a great ball player and was inconsistent. Have been watching him play for my local team, Philadelphia Union, and he has not changed in consistency. Still a great guy!!
  2. Some positives from the first half. A bit more fight overall from the team. Creating good chances and Templeton coming onto game.
  3. I am truly heartbroken and devastated to hear this terrible news! What a great player, gentleman and class act! He will be sorely missed by both those who love Rangers and those outside our club who had the chance to meet him......RIP Sandy and put a word in for our great club with the man upstairs!
  4. There are a load of Irish bars that will probably be showing the game, but I have also gone to a Sports Bar called Fat Boys, which is more of a neutral venue since they are showing almost every game being played at that time.......here's a link: http://www.fatboys-be.com/
  5. Don't forget some your most ardent supporters are in the USA! Keep yours friends close.
  6. I hope they can tap into some of the young prospects over here before they get snapped up by others!
  7. Zappa, this is Crappa!! What has Mather done wrong except put his hands in his pocket, which is more than either Murray or McColl are willing to do! Why don't these losers just piss off and let the board get on with running the club......too many of Fatboys friends are on here stirring up instability!!
  8. No big loss! He is aligned with Murray and is not qualified to be chairman. The lack of any statement shows that he is not supporting Mather......we need a clean out and Walter and Ally need to go if we are hoping to move past the former regimes.
  9. Now that Green has gone and we are in this transition state with no real leader and no one to defend us in the face of potential attacks from SPL, SFA or mhedia, are we vulnerable? I have no doubt that the reconstruction debate will pick up again and who knows what options will be thrown around including or not including Rangers. Who decides what our position is on important matters? Do we even have a say? Charles was certainly not shy about voicing his opinion, regardless if we were part of the debate or not. Will we retreat into "dignified silence"? What role, if any will Jim Traynor play?
  10. Fellow Bears! I share the same frustration and pain that many of your posts have expressed. I feel forf the man, because I think he did an incredible job and worked tirelessly on behalf of our club. In many ways, I feel we have deserted him when we need hom most! Yes, I get sentimental about the team I love and about people like Charlie who went above and beyond the call of duty! Yes, initially he came in as an investor, but he grew to love our the club, and he and we will never forget that!!
  11. First of all I will admit that I am a huge admirer of Charles Green. I think that in the long term he'll be remember as a major figure in the Rangers revival. I know the man has been under tremendous pressure both from the mhedia and from our own fans, but I wish he had hung in there and fought to defend his corner.
  12. Dear Fellow Bears, I despair at times at our inability to reach agreement on matters such as this one! I entirely agree with the previous post. Whatever your beliefs may be, we are the club of the Defenders of the Faith, whether you happen to "believe or not". I personally have a belief and faith in God, which although not strong, it's still there. Many of the songs we sing are in memory of our late brothers who also fought and died to defend that Faith. If we cannot sing a hymn like, "Will Your Anchor Hold" then why would we sing anything else that celebrates our past endeavours to defend our faith! Get a grip and get behind this idea......this is what separates us from the them!
  13. This is very sad news!! I knew Rab. I went to school with him in Port Seton where I grew up. He would be about 58. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family......RIP Big Man.
