As much blame as Clement should and will take we will continue in this cycle of sacking managers until we basically punt this full squad.
We went top and then the players reverted to normal, every single one of them are pathetic.

Could be actually, south upper
Hampden is a shithole but those seats are actually really good, im sure I was up there a few years ago when we beat Hearts in the league cup.

Teams don’t score anywhere near as many goals from set pieces as people make out on here. I bet if somebody looked into the stats we would probably not score any more or less from them than most other sides do.
Think heart and hand done a piece on it and we were basically average compared to the other teams in the league.
It does feel though that we are extremely wasteful from set pieces especially corners, doesn't help that one of your main targets in the box is Goldson.

So is that genuinely then the only way now to get higher up?
There was talk of them dropping a season out after so many years but not heard anything about it since and would just create more problems with most people being on same points.

Considering coming out of it in all honesty, don't get any away games and don't get the cups so its a pretty pointless exercise.

That's not the rule. If both attacking and defending players are encroaching it should be a retake.
If the penalty was scored which it wasn't, the encroaching player got an advantage by scoring hence why it wasn't a retake.
I dont agree with it but thats the rule as far as I can gather.

It doesn't matter what happens once the kick's been taken. According to the rules, if players from both teams have encroached, then its a retake. There are no exceptions.
There is an exception because wright scored from the rebound, if a hibs player gets in before him then its a retake but because Wright got there first its hibs ball.

Another possible reason is that they are incompetent idiots
The penalty was saved and there were Hibs players encroaching, so the rule is pretty clear that the penalty should be retaken.
The fact that an encroaching player then scored shouldn't matter
But it does matter as that is the rule.

The rule says if players from both teams have encroached, then the kick should be retaken whether a goal has been scored or not.
If the ref (even after a VAR check) thinks only Wright encroached, then what you've posted is correct.
Hibs players WERE encroaching (into the D), so it should have been retaken.
But the goal has not been scored directly from the penalty, the encroaching player has knocked it in, its a daft rule but its the only possible reason it wasn't retaken.

So... What if the encroaching hibs player gets to the ball first and prevents the goal. VAR doesn't even check it I suspect because there was no goal. Crazy.
It would then be retaken following the laws, whether that would have actually happened is a different story.

The only thing I can think of is that the goal was chalked off because one of the encroaching players scored, but surely it should be a retake given the amount of encroachment?
Also think the reason it wasn't retaken is because we scored from the rebound, if Tav sticks it away then it would have been retaken.

Has the points threshold jumped considerably ? I know its a 50/50 split but seems pretty high compared to normal.
-
If they bring this rule in then your just going to end up with teams camped in there box, would make playing a high line absolutely pointless since an attacker can gain a yard advantage on the defender before the ball is near them.
As much as I dislike him the fat man at spurs got it spot on when asked about the blue card rule, basically every other sport is trying to streamline there product to make it quicker, we are going the opposite way and trying to bastardise the sport.

They probably will be a step too far, but we can't go into those games with that attitude.
Are both Balogun and Jack in the squad?
Jack will be in the squad for the homegrown quota, Balogun isn't.

Butland going away with England would be amazing for us
Reputation, being able to tell other players that they can still make the national team if they sign for us, increasing Butland's value, keeping him happy here.
GK is probably there weakest spot, I very much doubt an outfield player would get picked up here now.

What games did they drop and gain points?
I'm guessing at
Dropped -- Kilmarnock (H), Motherwell (H), who's the 3rd team?
Gained -- Hibs (A), Motherwell (A), who's the 3rd team?
Quite surprised at that stat. It just seems they win games late every other week.
Done it twice against motherwell away.
Killie done them at rugby park as well 87th minute winner.

Actually more confident after seeing them, they are brutal and kind of reminds me of the Gio season for us but we had the european run to distract us.
Theyll probably rack up a couple of wins but they are delaying the inevitable for me.

It gave Cantwell the kick up the arse he needed at that point. Clement seems like a very good "man manager" same as Sir Walter was.
I'm not comparing them (As there is only one Walter Smith) but Clement has something about him aswell.
He is certainly the first proper manager we have had since Walter.

See when a manager comes in and the way he speaks compared to how the players then implement what he says, you can see quickly if the manager has it or not.
I have tried explaining this with failing managers in the past. When folk are saying “he needs more time” or “he is getting the results” but you can just see it. When GVB was starting to fail you could see it wasn’t going to end well despite home being a club hero. And with Beale it was evident really quickly that he was never turning it around.
Well now we have found a manager that you could just see it WAS going to work. I had a brief wobble with Clemente when he subbed Cantwell before half time. I thought “maybe this guy is too egotistical” but that subbing was the best thing that could have happened to Cantwell and as a message to the rest of the team.
From the next match he played Cantwell I knew we had a proper manager. You can just see it. The players respect him, they understand what he asks of them, they believe in what he is trying to do. I really hope he settles here because he could bring years of success to our club if we can hold on to him
Cantwell deserved to be hooked off in that game he was terrible but he wasn't alone in that fact, Clement could have made a triple sub when taking Cantwell off we were that bad against Limassol.

Clearly not, the debate started when a poster said dessers scored two goals that others wouldn't
Id argue that everyone of our first team squad would bury that 2nd goal
Maybe means others wouldn't be in the position to score it ? He nearly loses it then it breaks back to him and hes there to put it away.

Thought he was excellent today, laughable miss for the one he was offside mind you.
I've accepted the fact he will frustrate the life out of me but his goals have been pivotal and his all round play seems to be much better.
Keeps up the form and fires us to a league title then the £4million will be money well spent.

He is already crumbling before our eyes, he needs taken out the team for his own good and ours as well even if its just a game or two but I severely doubt it will happen.
Hopefully get rid in the summer but he didn't have many offers if any when his contract expired a couple seasons ago so I severely doubt anyone will come in and pay a fee for him.
