  1. I personally think we should fuck them right off, these bastards put their votes in cause they now want a slice of the cake.By all means buy tickets but any thought of paying £100 to sit in a hut which they class hospitality is bonkers.
  2. A wee story about super, it was the mid nineties and we were away to hivs in the league. we were heading through when we stopped of at harthill for a piss, as we got out the car a big fuck of limo came in an parked close to us.out comes the super swally, as we head to the toilets he starts chatting away, asking us if we were heading to the game? It was pissing down and he quipped that laudrop wisnae playing so we might aswell go for drink, he also made reference to alec clelland being injured already after 1 week of training. That summed our injury list at the time.As we walked back to the cars the super asked me what i was driving and proud as punch i pointed to my new corsa, quick as a flash he said throw it in the boot and we'll drop you off at easter rd. The lads were pissing themselves as i had been slaughtered.Top man an deserves credit for keeping it together in such times.
  3. Depending on who stays out the ones left, i personally would be looking to bolster the squad with 1st division experience, we cannot take any chances as we need to hit the ground running whilst making a statement of intent.
  4. I was thinking back the other day to the souness era and still remember certain fans making scapegoats of certain players on a regular basis. I mean fuck me the early eighties saw some of the worst players in our history getting a game?My bro, me and the boys would stand in the east and head to the same spot for every home game, at the same spot a group of lads from fernhill stood, good hardcore bears who didnt take kindly too abuse of anyone wearing the blue shirt, on many occassion you would hear a player getting dogs when 1 of the lads would give the cunt a friendly word in his ear, normally along the lines of "fuck of to the piggery if you cant support the team" now if said cunt continued with his abuse the next action wasnt so friendly, a right hook and a boot to the baws would leave this cunt with no doubt that the piggery should be his destination in future. Now as we venture into murky waters for the 1st time this group of players will need all the backing they can get, its 1 thing playing for the gers on big money, competing for trophies and playing in europe every year but its another to pull on the shirt in such trying times. This group of players have shown a far greater level of commitment than the deserters. The least we can do is back this group no matter how the game is going, if they are giving 100% then the least we can do is give 110%. 5. now that is an art i am interested in
  6. A well known phrase in military combat!Im sure our sworn enemies feel that is exactly what they have acheived? As our club lies on the battlefield batterd and bruised, we find we have few allies wll ones brave enough to put their heads above the parapit to be shot at.But over the hill rides in the "shambles" collectivley known as the sfa, spl and the spl.I swear if you locked this crowd in a room they would struggle to vote on the shape of an egg?Now as the spinless spl chairmen buckled to fan pressure we find ourselfs homeless, but surely the plan was the 1st all the time was the plan. This looked a good strategic manouvere until general hutton an his allies emerged from the trenches. All of a sudden their take on sporting integrity was different than hatred. To the 3rd they have ordered, this would leave the spl chairmen in no mans land and sitting ducks for the bankers.with the spl imploding divisions would start to appear big time. Then the 3rd div manager dont agree as its not a level playing field for them but their bosses want to milk the Rangers cash cow causing more divisions. But if predicted we get shoehorned into the 1st then sporting integrity is fucked causing more divide within the game.with all these divisions its then up to us to conquer.
  7. Im struggling to take you serious with a name like tie break should you not be making comments on wimbledon rather than the gers?In my post not at any point did i say we had signed leenel messi but an honest 100% player. The big man gets my god status because he would sacrafice his wage to help the club i love no matter what league we end up in.
  8. sorry, when i say journeyman that is what in our day we referred to as an honest pro and noy a mn of many clubs.
  9. Here is a question, how many people pre administration would have big Jig in their gratest ever gers team?when we signed the big man not many eyebrows were raised as the big man was at best decent.my mate asked me "why we were signing that lump of wood" i replied that the big man would do us a turn as we neededa bit of steel in midfield.now jig would always give us a goal or two but the one he scored against the sheep in his 1st season was special, a 35yrd volley into the top corner, my mate even said "not bad for a lump of wood" but through his gers career you knew you would get an honest shift out the big man no matter where he was asked to play.you knew their was a sense of pride in wearing that strip for Jig.4 years on and in our darkest times 1 man has emerged big and tall, while the rats were deserting a sinking ship Jig is running about with hammer and nails plugging the holes.when they decide to do the next greatest Rangers poll i for 1 will have the big man in 4 different positions.you chose loyalty over greed and tonight Jig i salute you from journeyman to Rangers god.
  10. most unlike spanish player of his generation, in lamens terms pish!!
  11. I would go for him to resign him as i think he would come back, a real bear for me.
  12. The point im making here is even with spending on players and a season out of europe we weren't about to be made insolvent at that time.such problems arose under shyte hence where did the cash go to?
  13. The majority of cash spent came after we sold king carlos for £7.8 to villa
  14. Im no accountant but i wouldn't need to be for this bit of totting up.As Rangers debt kept rising to i think 78mill round about 03-04 urgent measures were needed. These measures came as we sold of the family silver in an effort to reduce costs, we replaced them with cheap replacements i.e nuno capucho(who won a medal in seville ), ostenstad, vanoli, emerson to name a few but you get the picture. Now from that season it was apparent we would be downsizing a good bit in the coming years. As we downsized on the park our debt was starting to downsize off it.We were still managing to be reasonably competitive on the park during the cull.As we sold of players and had runs in europe our financial position again improved to the tune of 18mill owed to the bank. So 60mill had been paid back and Dr death was about to pay the remaining 18mill.Now this is where it dosent add up, 9mth into his tenure shyte claims the club is losing 1.5mill a mth and this was the reason for not paying the paye(my arse). How could we reduce debt every year for the last 7 whilst having such monthly losses. The truth is that wee fucker has stole money out the club we love, he had better hope the fraud squad get him before the bears do.
  15. I have to disagree, if memory serves me it was keith jackson who is talking through the 2003 season in the programme the football years and init he referred to the mhanks as we on a number of occassions in reference to seville, could be mistaken though.
  16. I apologise yes that was the last game of the 9iar season but in your post your talking about walters last season hence the confusion!
  17. 9iar tannadice was the last game of the season, if your talking 10iar season that was defo at tannadice when we won 2-0 but lost the league.
  18. was it not Dundee utd?Hearts was the following week in the scottish final.
  19. One of the saddest days ever as a bear was the day i heard that coop had left to join motherwell for 50k.I adored coop and it was end of an era for me, but what upset me most was we signed Davie fucking Dodds the same day for 100k.A bit like trading a merc in for mini and paying the salesman.
  20. As a young lad i couldnt wait to get my gers strip on and go and play football, my hero was coop and i 1 day dreamed it would be me who made that run onto the ibrox turf.As i grew up i would happily of played for nought as i was a bear through and through. Forward wind 20-25 yrs and we see and hear players who had similair dreams, these players to name a few (naismith, laugh, davis) were fortunate enough to have the skills required to make that run. Regardless what has happened im sure these 3 lived their dream, the problem occurs when agents start filling their heads with shite thus making them have second thoughts about their boyhood dreams. All 3 have walked and most likely will never be forgiven by the bears. Sadly money overules loyalty these days and our club arent alone on this, gone are the days when an era of players at a club would see testimonials rewarded.I for 1 would love to be able to say that about the next generation of Rangers legends.
