  1. I think super Ally has been afforded a great deal of slack because he's such a legend and the board, whoever the fuck they are today, probably feel that sacking him would cause such a fucking uproar with the fans that it's not worth the bother. Ally isn't a great manager and the money being thrown about at the club to win a league that last season was won by a part time team and will be probably won by a part time for ever after this season is a nonsense but we're still pissing millions down the drain. Get rid of all the backroom staff, bring in someone who knows what the fuck they're doing and let him build a team. Next season we're going to have a real challenge on our hands and Ally hasn't got what it takes to storm the Championship the way he had done this year and last. If McCoist wants it give him a non exec directors job as a thank you, fuck it, name a stand after him but please let's start anew. It would be a bit mean to sack him now though, at least let him win the league.
  2. Don't know if it's already been mentioned but I did have a wee chuckle to myself when the daft cunt Pars fans, all 6 of them chanted "you're not Rangers anymore" and "same old Rangers always cheating" within 5 minutes. Unless I heard wrong. The bile poured out by their handful of fans reminds just why I cared not one jot when they were going down the pan.
  3. It shows the mentality of some people in this country that they can't stand in silence as a mark of respect for ONE MINUTE. Thousands of Irish Catholics died fighting during both world wars for the King so I don't understand that aspect of it. The other thing is this; there are more Irish catholics in Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham than Scotland, they came for the same reasons and stayed for the same reasons but they all support teams who wore the poppy over the weekend and ALL observed a minutes silence, my dad was from the North West and was die hard Man Utd fan and had loads of catholic mates he went to games with so why are they all such arseholes up here? I would suggest it's the fact they choose to separate themselves from the age of 5 but I'd probably end up with a police caution so I won't.
  4. It never ceases to amaze me how narrow minded and short sighted football is in this country. If what a previous poster has said is correct, about Raith refusing to hold the game at Ibrox, aren't they just cutting off their nose to spite their face? I assume that the gate receipts/ pie sales etc are split 50/50 so there would be more than twice the money brought in and no one would have to split any cost further by paying rent to Easter Road or Tyncastle (which I also assume is the case).
  5. Neutrality wouldn't necessarily be an issue, assuming we win tonight and unless Stenhousemuir have drafted in 11 new players since the last time we played them I'm guessing we'll scrape a win, Ibrox would be the logical choice as the large crowd would benefit both teams financially and I can't see Raith turning their noses up at the money they'd get plus we'd get money from all the pies sold etc so that'd be handy. Or maybe they'll hold a game where they could get 50k supporters going in a ground that holds less than half that just to make a point and I wouldn't put it past the SFA to do that either.
  6. Aye, special needs, fucking hell what was he thinking?
  7. Yeah he has, he obviously gets a bit carried away but you can understand why. I've got carried away in training let alone in a cage with loads of people watching and pumped up to fuck.
  8. I used to both comment on here a fair bit and did a few pieces for Rangers Media as "The Captain" I got very frustrated with all the board room horrors and some of the bitching on here dragged me down so I stopped bothering altogether, plus it was off season and I prefer to talk about football.
  9. I really enjoyed watching this, reminded me just how much I need to get back to training properly. I thought Machida was superb, was enjoying the Jimmo fight until he pulled up. That no contest fight was fucking brutal, thought it was a bit harsh to be honest.
  10. The way we're going we'll be lucky to be the new QPR
  11. I've got an old mate who's an ex Ajax lad, they'll rip Glasgow to bits looking for the bheasts then when they get bored they'll rip each other to bits so a bad night for the city centre ahead.
  12. Yes she is, and there is a shot of her naked if you watch the documentary
  13. I'm actually a Man Utd fan, have been going since the 80s, my Dad was from the area and was die hard United and you always follow your dad's team don't you? That said I've married into a Rangers family with virtually everyone in her family season ticket holders, two of her brothers left my wedding early to get the last train to Inverness for an early kick off the next day. My love for Rangers comes from that, I've never seen a club with such devoted fans, a club which genuinely is more than just a football team, it's very hard not to fall for them.
  14. I watched a documentary last night on Pussy Riot who, for those of you who don't know, were jailed for singing offensive songs that slagged off Putin and the Russian Orthodox Church, the world was rightly outraged and twitter went fucking mental with people saying how shocking it was that people standing up for what they believe in should be imprisoned, receive death threats etc. Now, you'll probably see where I'm going with this, if the world is outraged, rightly so, by this act of repression why is no one coming out in support of football fans, even those at the piggery, who are being handed criminal records for doing nothing other than singing songs which haven't actually hurt anybody in the decades that they've been being sung? I'd like to see Liberty and Amnesty International get involved with this, I've asked Liberty and they said they were monitoring the situation which means that until a lesbian in a wheelchair or a black Rangers fan gets arrested they're doing fuck all but you never know. I'm hoping a Rangers fan with a bit of money gets lifted and takes it all the way to the European courts. Sorry if this shouldn't be in Bears Den.

  16. I was at Old Trafford when Arsenal won to win the league and Arsenal fans were shouting "You've come all the way from Surrey and you've lost" which made me chuckle. Nakamura ate my dog is brilliant though. I was also at a game where an empty about to be demolished stand was filled with litter, a big gust of wind picked it all up and some guy started shouting "what a load of rubbish"
  17. Right, sorry about the post being so small it didn't appear that way when I first posted it, thanks for correcting it.
  18. It's more about him sticking with Rangers and taking his medals but never mind
  19. This is an article copied and pasted from the Times, this guy is a proper role model and seems to spend his time productively rather than just playing golf and shagging. He's exactly the kind of guy Rangers need to build a lasting future. Lee Wallace was excluded from Scotland selection because Craig Levein felt the defender was literally out of his league, but the same cannot be said of Wallace’s mind. The Rangers left-back will return to international football after a three-year absence on Tuesday in the World Cup qualifying match with Croatia, but if Wallace’s well-documented decision to stay at Ibrox and play in the lower reaches of Scottish football cost him caps, he has been using his time to good effect. The 26-year-old has spent the last three seasons taking his coaching badges and even manages an amateur team in Edinburgh. Wallace has also been studying Ajax as part of his SFA ‘B’ licence assessment, the team that will be on the other side of Glasgow on October 22 on Champions League duty. He even offered his notes to Neil Lennon, the Celtic manager. Stepping back on to the Hampden Park pitch on Tuesday will seem strange to Wallace. He suffered a cruciate ligament injury there in September 2010 against Liechtenstein and was out for six months. That was the last of his seven caps and Levein offered concern about Wallace’s situation for the defender, who was still with Heart of Midlothian then and playing in the top-flight. However, Wallace moved to Rangers and when they went into liquidation, the defender chose to remain with the new club and play in the fourth-tier while his fellow internationals, Steven Naismith and Allan McGregor, left. Levein did not select Wallace again but Gordon Strachan brought him back into the fold in the win away to FYR Macedonia last month. “There was never a discussion between Craig Levein and myself,” Wallace said yesterday. “I just went by what was said in the media, that it would be hard for him as a manager to pick someone who was playing in the bottom tier of Scottish football. I totally respected him for that as I respected him as a manager. I put my sole focus into Rangers. “It’s been brilliant working with this manager [strachan]. It is the third squad I’ve been involved in. There’s certainly a great level of respect from the players towards him. The manager, plus assistants Mark [McGhee] and Stuart [McCall] are a great team. You certainly know what your job is when you go into a game. You know how the opposition play, all their strengths and weaknesses.” Unlike most footballers, that sort of in-depth analysis is right up Wallace’s street. “I did my ‘B’ licence in the summer, nine days at Largs,” he said. “My homework task had to be in last week. It was a team analysis and you had to pick a team and look at their strengths and weaknesses. I am back at the end of October for a couple of tutorial days and then we will get assessed so I can go straight onto the ‘A’ licence next year. “I have enjoyed that side of things. It’s great coming away here and seeing the manager prepare at international level and prepare to play top-class players, like in the two past games. I have taken a team for the last three years, called Heriot Vale, and they are top of their league “The team I studied was Ajax. It has been hard to find weaknesses with them. I am actually quite a geek when it comes to this but I hope it pays off in 20 years’ time. I did it because I was keen on Frank de Boer. I had read Pep Guardiola’s book in the summer but a friend on the course with me did Barcelona, so I opted for Ajax. “It took me two weeks overall. I learnt a lot. It was an enjoyable task. Whereas some people might not enjoy the written work and the laptop work, I do. I will give Neil Lennon a bell if he wants. If he gives me his e-mail I can e-mail it over.”
  20. It would be sort of funny if the final nail in their coffin was because we need to call a game off against them. In a way it's a shame that such an old club is facing the firing squad but then it's hard to feel too sorry for their fans when they put the boot into us so ferociously.
  21. I don't really understand what you're implying? That I'm writing propaganda? For who? I'm a nurse working for GG&C with no affiliation to anyone other than my friends and family the majority of whom are die hard Rangers and are sick of seeing our club turn into a fucking circus. I'm not asking everyone to agree with me but saying this isn't fair.
  22. After reading the Walter Smith interview I thought I'd give my opinions. We need a clean sweep of the board, get anyone with an axe to grind or a personal agenda, and there are plenty of them, to buggery, Smith going to the media doesn't help, sorry but he's another "old boy" with fingers in pies and I'm sick of it all. Every other day we have some bloke in a Rangers blazer or tie giving his two pence worth and frankly, and I know this won't be popular, they can all do one. Smith is worth millions, where was his money when we were going down the pan? None of our former players who are also millionaires put their hands in their pockets to save us from our recent humiliations yet they seem to think that their opinions matter and are happy to take a few quid from one of our awful newspapers to spew their nonsense. The same names keep getting banded about but if they weren't around when things went pear shaped they ain't going to be around now, unless they too can make a quick buck out of our great club. Let me ask you this; If you won the lottery, say 10 million quid, would you invest in Rangers? I think most people on here would do something to help not just run to the Daily Record or Herald and say how much you love the club and that you want to be involved. Personally I'm hoping that we can eventually get new owners and a new board made up from a few wealthy business types and fan representation that actually wields a little bit of power so we can move on, creating a lasting business plan with a good team, good training facilities and a bank account which stays within the limits of normality. Does anybody on here reading this now not just wish that we could open the papers and only see stories about Rangers the football team and not Rangers the soap opera? Well maybe the odd player shagging his mates wife or punching a ned outside a bar but that's all part of the fun of football. Let's stop giving the obsessed something to talk about other than the amount of goals we score and how good looking our fans are.
  23. If this goes to court, which hopefully it will, two things will come out of this, one it'll get blown out of the water thereby ridiculing the police and the SNP stasi tactics, or it'll show that our judiciary love the IRA, it's one way or the other.
