  1. Redsox, My main worry, is that they're stockpiling cash for when we get back. Selling their best players, and banking Champions League money. They should have a serious war chest for when we get back. We'll need some serious investment to compete, I reckon?
  2. You had me spooked there! I was wondering how you knew when I joined - thought you were stalking me! Just found out. Clearly I'm an old technophobe as well!
  3. Thanks dougie76, At least you can see what I'm referring to
  4. I was in the car this morning listening to the podcast of last night's 5 Live programme (don't download the BBC Scotland one any more, for obvious reasons!) and something happened that had me literally laughing out loud! In the middle of discussing their game against Barca and how Broon was stupid to get himself sent off, they had a caller from Manchester giving his opinion on the game. This guy described himself as a Celtic fan and, for the most part, was pretty reasonable in his comments. He then went on a bit of a rant about how the BBC in Scotland, on a night when they were playing Barcelona in the Champions League, had spent the whole evening talking about the Rangers financial results. He also stated that we didn't exist anymore and that we were heading for administration again (obvious contradiction there). In the end the presenter had to cut him off and move on. I could feel his pain!! The irony, that hopefully I wasn't alone in spotting, was that this guy was doing exactly what he was criticising BBC Scotland for doing - i.e. TALKING ABOUT US instead of his own team! Good to see the obsession continuing - It's all about The Rangers !!!!!!!! Just thought I'd share as it made me laugh
  5. Mitre, The 12 month thing is simply a requirement of the annual Audit. Under one of the financial reporting rules, they are required to give their opinion on the company's ability to operate as a going concern for the next 12 months. Nothing specifically to do with Rangers, as such.
  6. Loving this guys. Laughed out loud at some of these comments - takes me back to my younger days! Who says nostalgia's a thing of the past? Following on from Dutchy's comment about the dusty Rangers end at Hampden, I can't be the only one who had some drunk bassa pishing doon the back of my leg instead of the empty that he was aiming for !? Do you remember when they used to stop the buses because of the expected vandalism and we had to walk to the game? "I'll walk a million miles...." Happy Days :-)
  7. Much ado about very little, in my opinion. It looks like the only thing the Herald journalist got wrong was the stage that the complaint process had reached. The woman for the trust only said that it hadn't reached them yet. i.e. stage 3. It could well be that it is currently at the ECU stage in the complaint process. That still qualifies as "being investigated by the BBC"
  8. There's one argument I don't think I've ever heard being put across to silence these idiots, and that is: If the corporate entity that entered liquidation in 2012 signalled the "death" of Rangers then surely that implies that Rangers were "born" in 1899, when the initial company was first incorporated? So what about the Rangers that existed between 1872 & 1899? I don't recall anyone (journalist or knuckle dragging, moronic fan of another club) ever stating that that was a different Rangers? Their "logic" doesn't stand up to any kind of scrutiny at all. (Not that we should be surprised with that!)
  9. Ace, I had the same thought about adding my authentic Scottish accent, as requested by the guys. Only trouble is I'm not sure my tactical knowledge is up to their standard and I would just sound like a dick! Personally I like H & H the best. Bit more professional, generally, better edited and better produced. Having said that, I enjoy them all. Good to hear Rangers fans talking about Rangers rather than the pricks on the BBC!
  10. Spot on Ricky. With a CV like that in any other job, in any other industry, in any other COUNTRY, he would have been sacked long ago! ........but hey, this is parochial, wee Scotland!
  11. With the benefit of time (my age) and distance (living in England wi the wife) it is possible to see clearly that a) this doesn't happen anywhere else (English clubs go into administration and they are penalised once then everyone moves on) b) this whole business stinks of corruption. In fact it smells so bad that the whole of scottish football reeks like a corpse several months dead. If you dont believe me then check out the international and european press. Scottish football is now percieved as a joke. Has anyone contacted Ian Rankin and suggested this as a basis for his latest crime novel? c) Incestuous in the extreme is there only one competent firm of lawyers in the whole of Scotland? surely there must be law firms in London qualified and neutral enough to do things properly, above board and without prejudice. d) the SNP so vociferous about anything else Scottish seem to be deaf blind and mute about this whole situation. On every Scottish issue from oil to American golf courses on Scottish soil their opinion is always in the press but not now despite the fact that Rangers fans make up a huge percentage of their electorate. e) during a double dip recession any business giving away millions of pounds is clearly run by idiots. Ladies and gentlemen I give you the SPL. Blinded by prejudice, losing money hand over fist and the laughing stock of Europe.
  12. Read the match report on the BBC website - it's not exactly glowing. You'd think we had just scraped a narrow win, or even a draw, by the tone of it. Then again, shouldn't really expect anything else from that lot!
  13. Remember it well mate. Looks like I'm not the only old fart on here !
  14. Must admit I can't stand that prick Soence! It defies logic how anyone at the BBC can listen to him, especially when he's hosting Sportsound, and fail to come to the conclusion that he is totally and utterly biased against Rangers! Thought Journos were always banging on about their supposed objectivity - don't make me laugh!
  15. I used to download the podcast to off the ball every week but stopped doing so a few months ago because I was fed up listening to those two bitter, fat wankers spouting their hatred of The Mughty Gers every week. Jealous, pathetic little people. (and they're not the only ones)
  16. The fookin BBC are still at it! While STV are running with the story (as of 13:06 today) that Rangers & the SPL are in dispute over the payments due to Dundee Utd, the totally unbiased and objective professionals (aye, right) at the BBC are still running the headline that proclaims "Dundee Utd still owed Gers cash" To be fair, maybe their journalists can't type as quickly?
  17. Did anyone else notice how quickly Dundee Utd's claim that they hadn't been paid appeared on the BBC website compared to how tardy they were at reporting CG's statment that all Scottish Football debts had been paid? When Charles Green made his statement it was on the STV website about 8 or 10 hours before it appeared on the BBC. Yet when Dundee Utd made their claim it was on the BBC in a few nano seconds! Call me paranoid if you like.....
  18. Well said Barcodebear, That jumped out at me as well that the wee rat McKeechan described it as a rant FFS! He obviously never watched the interview. CG was very calm and considered in his comments. Isn't it odd how CG described the motivations of the SPL clubs as being borne out of jealousy and all the wrong reasons, as well as bigotry, yet it was the interviewer who chose to highlight and probe him on the use of the word bigotry? Why didn't he ask him "What do you mean by jealousy" for example? - Wouldn't make such a good headline, eh!? Wouldn't fit their agenda!!
  19. He scored against Wakes and NI and then was outrageously dropped for the England game (where we failed to score without him). He never got picked in the World Cup either. McLeod seriously got that wrong. At the time there were loads of bears questioning his team selection and how he could leave out the country's top goal scorer!
