  1. I'm glad to see that most here are not oblivious to Ally's inadequacies as a football manager. There are people who will back him to the hilt regardless of how poor he is as a manager because he's Ally McCoist, and simply refuse to accept that we should be performing better on the field. As it stands, we're usually winning games by a margin of one or two goals, which in itself is open to scrutiny considering the level of competition, add to that next to zero improvement in play since division 3 and you've got a serious case for concern. The prospect of Ally with actual money to spend long term frightens the fuck out of me, but I wouldn't mind if he spent big bucks this window on flops, as that could eventually provide a desperately-needed catalyst for Ally to leave.
  2. Some say the Chinese were so impressed by Derek Riordan's spell in China, they wanted to see what the rest of Scottish football could offer...
  3. Eventually I will get both, but i'm going to go for the Xbox first purely because Forza 5 is coming out on launch. Will probably get FIFA 14 and a couple other games as well but Forza is the main reason for me to get it, even if it is quite a hike on the PS4 for price.
  4. Buying a club already in the top 2 divisions seems like pie-in-the-sky thinking. My guess is they would buy a non-league club which is situated in a fairly populous area but has no other large teams, much like Leipzig. They could do very well out of pumping money into the team as they seem to actually have a footballing infrastructure, but the main problem lies with where they will go, as they simply could not compete with 'established' football clubs if they were to go to an area like London, and purchasing an existing club in the 2 top divisions runs a huge risk of alienating the fans there.
  5. Moaning about bigotry and then repeatedly using the term 'H*n' even though it in itself is a derogatory term for Protestantism. I really do despise that. I can handle the cancer in green and white calling us that, but for people to get on their high horse and moan about sectarianism then use that word really pisses me off. It's like giving all non-OF clubs free reign to use any sectarian slurs against us, and it's sad that the word 'H*n' is being used widely by many people who are themselves Protestants. Thankfully that stupid fucking SNP cunt on that ICT board seems to have been put in his place.
  6. Traitor was loaned out at around the same age.
  7. The remaining UVF in and around Mourneview are more concerned about fighting amongst each other nowadays and generally making a joke of themselves, and aren't really involved in football now, which can only be a good thing. Relations have improved significantly over the past few years, partly down to a mutual dislike of Portadown. The crowds have been poorer over the last 10 years (a core of around 700 usually), mainly because each season has been nearly exactly the same for that past 10 years, and a lot just don't seem to really give a shit about local football anymore, which is the same case for a lot of Irish League clubs nowadays. Most people I know would be fans of Glenavon but wouldn't go to matches all that often, and I can't say that I know of anyone from Portadown living in Mourneview.
  8. I supported Man United when I was younger, though I have to say I have lost interest in them over the past few years, mainly because I have become disillusioned with the Premier League's negative effect on local football. It's just Rangers, Glenavon & Northern Ireland really for me now.
  9. Them and 'them' are two horrible, truly cancerous football clubs.
  10. I will get both eventually, but I will probably get Xbox One first due to Forza 5 (i'm a big fan of racing sims). Games-wise, there's nothing at the moment to pull me towards the PS4, especially as Grand Theft Auto V won't go next-gen immediately and Gran Turismo 6 is coming out on PS3.
  11. Never have, never will. I am fortunate enough to not have been put in that position in my life thus far, and generally every one of my mates has some sort of leaning towards Rangers. Obviously it is easier to know your enemy in Northern Ireland, there are no Kierans or Conors round here that support Rangers that's for sure!
