For me, a minute's silence is appropriate for remembering the very recent passing of a man or a tragic event in the past (WW2, 9/11 etc) A minute's applause is appropriate for celebrating somebody's life and work who is no longer with us. I think either would be appropriate in this situation but I'd lean towards an applause, I think Sandy would have preferred that.

I'm setting my expectations a bit lower. I expect Rangers to win the league but I don't care about the margin. A 5-10 point gap at least would be nice but it doesn't matter. I also think we need to win the Ramsden's Cup and make the semi-final of at least one other cup. I also feel we need to set an example by beating Hearts and Hibs home and away.

It may sound controversial but I'd be happy to give them 50/50 because they'll never fill it. Allocate 50% of the stadium to Dundee United and put their tickets on sale before ours for maybe a week or so. After that week, give us our 50% plus the allocation they return. Will still be split 70/30 at least.

I actually quite like all 3 of the kits this year but I agree that they are very poor quality. Blackthorn Logo came off after a couple of washes. I always buy the home shirt so this won't put me off but next season I'll be going for an unsponsored one if possible

I agree with you. Sacking McCoist would be an awful, awful decision. You can only play what's in front of you. As long as the team keeps winning with only an occasional blip I have no complaints.
