Souttar’s ability has never been in doubt, it’s his ability to stay fit that has been.
I think with his injury record there will always be an element of doubt about how long he can stay fit for, and that will stop us being able to build around him as a regular, but he’s a great third choice centre half.

He was brilliant in Belgium for Cercle Brugge, I remember a few of the big teams were fighting it out for him after that season (was the same season we signed Sakala) and had a 1 in 3 record in Ligue 1 before they made his move permanent. Looks like he and the club have struggled this season though. If the fee isn't too much, he is worth a punt, especially if Beale knows what he is like.

Related but slightly different, I like how he also pressures the player far quicker when they get near the box.
Barisic tended to just back off and back off until they were in or around the area in a far more dangerous position, especially when in the box and adding to the potential to give away a pen.

Folk in here never seem to be happy. We have announced plans to provide better facilities for disabled fans (which we’ve been crying out for) and a new sports bar…. Then most in here just want to slag the guys hair and the way he speaks…. I’m delighted that facilities are to be improved. 

I'd still take him, Robby and Butland for competition is fine by me, especially for "free" I think that's good business.

People forget he is still only 21. He could potentially be an absolute star for us if he develops right.

He's much more aggressive than Barasic. That alone is a huge improvement. His crossing isn't as good yet but he's young and that can be coached.

His instinct is to go forward rather than stop and pass sideways or backwards. It's refreshing 👍

Stopped them having 3 or 4 shots today by coming out sharp. Genuinely would’ve stopped us conceding so many goals this season. The Jota one at parkhead for example from the Souttar pass back just doesn’t happen because McCrorie is off his line quicker and his starting position is higher.

All the simple square balls where we've conceded at least partially because McGregor was rooted to his line.

I'm actually at the point I nearly despise Kent and Morelos for the way theyve downed tools completly. Maybe when they're at some shit club theyll fully appreciate what they had here instead of phoning in performances week after week

There’s 9 other problems in the starting team than Tav. 

Be playing 3 games a week for the first 5 months minimum next season so having someone who can come in for the lesser games and get 15+ goals, on low wages probably and has a good attitude. Exactly what a good squad player should be.

Same. Another player who probably isn’t the answer long term, especially since the change in management, but he can easily do a job within the squad for another season. Almost Boyd-esque in the sense that you would trust him to score against everybody apart from celtic. Far bigger issues to address first. 

Agreed. I think there’s only four who have no chance of leaving - Tav, Goldson, Raskin & Cantwell. Other than those four I think any offer that comes in for any player will be considered and probably taken tbh.

We’ve seen what Hagi can do over the past two/three years. He isn’t going to come back a completely different player to the one he was pre injury.
If Galatasaray or Celts Vigo are as desperate to sign him as is made out he’s one of the few assets we have that we can bring in decent money for this Summer. Time to sell and reinvest.

People often pointed to the Caixinha signings as a danger of "not knowing the league", but the reality is they were just shite. That's usually the biggest issue.
