  1. I have looked at the video and can't see where Mohsni refused to shake hands. All I can see is Mohsni walking towards the exit then being pushed hard in the back. I don't completely condone what then happened but at the same time, none of this would have happened if Erwin had just walked away without his handshake. I wonder how many men after being beaten the way we were and who had effectively just lost their job would have been able to just walk away? Erwin knew he was in trouble after the game, hence his "I'm a Rangers fan" bullshit. For all I know the handshake/eff off never happened.
  2. There is a difference between "banter" with a mate and what has been raised in the op. A mate calling me a h** gets met with similar in verbal response. He's a mate and mates use a language that the friendship permits. However, a stranger referring to me as a h**, most likely in a derogatory way as I can't see any other reason for using it, is likely to result in a completely different reaction from me. It's no longer "banter", it's the foreplay that often leads to a kick in the balls! I get the "sticks and stones" point that is made by you and others but for any politician to use that word (or Tims/Fenians or Paki/n***er) is unacceptable and should be dealt with accordingly. That the SNP see no reason to take action says a lot and I doubt very much if they would take the same attitude with any of the other words I've mentioned. They would be up in arms if they were used by any other political party of that I'm sure.
  3. It may be true that after Independence Scots may retain their UK passports and that their children may also claim to be British through their parents. After that I understand that Scots will be Scottish and nothing else. Where do you get your assertion that we'll stay British from?
  4. I mentioned the unemployed to emphasise the fact that you don't need to pay tax to vote which is what you said in your post (and seem to be repeating although perhaps you mean contribute in a non financial sense). I am affected by the vote in Scotland, I think all of the citizens of the UK are affected. There are approximately 750,000 ex-pat Scots living in England and if the Scottish government couldn't administer them having a vote then I really do fear for how they can administer anything. As for the schemey point, I'm from a scheme and don't know where that came from in your post. My point wasn't that people resident and contributing in Scotland shouldn't have a vote but that people who are Scottish who happen to be living in another part of the UK should have one too.
  5. I don't think you need to pay tax to have a vote. My understanding is that you could be a 16 year old schoolboy from Poland (lets use Poland, nothing against the Polish I should say) living with your unemployed parents (picking up on the tax point again, nothing against the unemployed) who has only recently moved to Scotland and you get a vote. I, on the other hand, a UK citizen born in Scotland (Bothwell as it happens!), who lived in Scotland till I was 35 (and paid tax), had my family in Scotland, who feels very Scottish (and British), moved south with my job (to another part of my country) and who would probably move back at some point don't. I do see myself differently to those who moved outside of the UK (like 'And another thing') in that I pay taxes in this country (the UK) which makes a contribution to all of the UK (including Scotland). I feel that this should entitle me and others in the same position to a vote. Salmond knew however that having worked amongst our southern neighbours that we're less likely to buy into his emotional Braveheart shit.
  6. I was born in 1961 and born into a Rangers family and into the Rangers family. When we played football in the street back in the 70's, when Sandy was becoming the legend that he is, there were those that wanted to be Pele or Eusebio or Colin Stein. I only ever wanted to be Sandy Jardine. My condolences to all the Jardine family on behalf of his Rangers family.
  7. Deleted: repeated later (after thinking my comment had been lost when original thread was merged)
  8. I'm not sure whether to apologise for calling you mate or be upset with you for making such a sexist comment! Only messing, it's a great idea and all the best of luck.
  9. You wouldn't agree if you saw my handwriting! Seriously mate, if you have the time and energy to do this then it's a great idea. All credit to you.
  10. Great idea, I'd love to "write" in an online book. I'd think that the others on here who have offered help will have the smarts to create an actual book for the family that can be created from the entries made online.
  11. Just watching North West Tonight (BBC in the Manchester area) and there was an interview with a guy who was at Hillsborough who said he carried a young lad wearing a Rangers top out of the crowd. He didn't say what happened to the youngster, anyone know? Thoughts go out to all those that lost family and friends 25 years ago today.
  12. They all stuck the knife in. Do you want them all to fail?
  13. You've made a very valid point and I understand it. I just feel that when you talk about Hearts that you are talking about a minority and that they have behaved the way we might have if we hadn't been through what we have been. We should take the moral high ground, we've been fucked, they've been fucked and so lets start thinking how we fuck the fuckers. I asked myself at the start of our mess how I would feel if this were happening to Celtic. I said then that I would not want that club or any club to go to the wall as it wasn't in our best interests. If Celtic and Hearts and any others fail then Rangers fail. I stand by this.
  14. D'Art - I don't know wtf has gone on,I''ll have a look in a sec, but really?? I have read about you (it took me ages to find your Falklands heroics) and I've read your stuff and I know that you need to be heard. In large part I come to this site to read what you (and some others) write so please don't stop. If you do, I may need to break my oath of non-violence!
  15. On one hand I'm pleased that some of the fans that took pleasure in our situation are getting it up them but on the other hand I feel for the genuine Hearts fans that, like us, are now suffering because some fuckers have run a once proud club into the fucking gutter. I don't measure their fans by the pain I feel nor do I think that the "banter" that was thrown at us on a Saturday means any more than what we'd throw at them if we were in the same position. It's a disgrace what's happened to Hearts. It's a disgrace what's happened to us. To take pleasure from their situation is understandable but it's still wrong. We should be angry at the cunts that run clubs, not at the people who support them.
