Still plenty of tickets available (as of 12 noon on Friday). Come on fellow Bears, it's another televised match so lets fill the stadium and show the world what our club means to us.
54 and counting
Get your tickets here: http://www.rangers.t...ampaign=&type=H

Apparently Sandy is hoping to be back at Ibrox at the end of the month (possibly the 23rd) if he is well enough. I'm sure he got a boost from yesterdays outcome and I'm sure none of us can wait to welcome him home.
Great news! Get well soon Sandy. Rangers Legend

WTF are you on about?
I am asking a serious question. I don't have twitter, and TBH read as little of Thomson's "output" as possible.
I would NEVER under ANY circumstances damage the memory of the 66 in any way whatsoever, but having read that today on VB
http://www.vanguardb...journalism-died
(apologies if direct links to other sites are not allowed)
"His terminology and wording when describing Rangers in the last year has included such terms as "Sevco", "RangersIA" (in administration), "Newco" and at his sickeningly worst "Daleks" - a crude comparison between the 66 victims of the Ibrox Stairway 13 tragedy and the sci-fi villains, who could not climb stairs, in the Dr Who? stories"
So, as my father & uncle narrowly escaped the tragic events of that day in 1971, only finding out upon their arrival home in Ralston later that evening, I would genuinely like to find out if Thomson has ever used the term. And if so, I want to confront him about it.
I'm originally from Ralston, so if you're a true blue we probably went to the same school

I've went for Faure for the reason I think Ally will give him a start against Stirling alongside Hegarty, so i'd really like to see what he can do at CB for a full game.
Agreed.

If ever there was time to move forward as a secular club it's now.
Controversial but

Not disagreeing, but has Durham looked at every major league in Europe?
Bayern 17 points clear; Man Utd 12 points clear; Barca about a billion points clear
Classic trolling from Durham
Yep, you're right, but my focus was on his take on how we were treated:
" Last summer the bloodthirsty desire to punish Rangers resulted in the death of Scottish football as sustainable worthy entertainment.
The Rangers-haters got what they wanted, and ended up with a joke league. Good work. "

Sorted! Many thanks to cushynumber, johanhentze, and olegkuznetsov!

...and I believe you were beaten to it as well
Sorry, thought is was worth posting, had a quick look through recent posts and didn't see it, so went ahead. Note to self: Be more thorough in your research

Good to see someone south of the border taking the same view us:
The Scottish Premier League is ridiculous.
Celtic are 21 points clear and they could win the title in a fortnight. The second best team in Scotland are currently 22 points clear in the Third Division.
Last summer the bloodthirsty desire to punish Rangers resulted in the death of Scottish football as sustainable worthy entertainment.
The Rangers-haters got what they wanted, and ended up with a joke league. Good work.
There’s a cryptic message for devolution lovers in there somewhere.
Below Celtic, four points separate eight teams. It would be a decent league worth watching if you took Celtic out of it, which is surely the only sensible solution.
The 5-0 thrashing of bottom club Dundee at the weekend was a training exercise and Celtic Park was nowhere near full. And why would fans pay to watch their team train?
Celtic have scored 53 more goals than Dundee already this season. It was an embarrassing mis-match.
We’re seeing the net result of this in Europe as well. Yes the crowd, the spirit and the whole atmosphere at Celtic when a juggernaut of world football like Barcelona arrive in town can carry Celtic through the odd night or two. But that can only take you so far. And Neil Lennon’s side were subsequently swept aside by Juventus.
The conclusion is this: the SPL is a joke, and it needs sorting out before the passion of the fans is diluted by the meaningless football north of the border.

M. no disagreement there and if that gets people through tough times who is anyone to criticize. Personally a bottle of single malt works for me. But to each their own.
As another Bear mentioned earlier there is a plethora of old Rangers songs from Wolverhampton Town to Willie Woodburn to How Can you Buy WW...... right through to some more contemporary numbers.
We could even get The Boss on board with his "We Take Care of Our Own" number.
Sorry but Happy Clappy tunes at football --- not for this Bear.
Well said. Couldn't agree more.

I left the BB when I was 11 or 12 (40+ years ago) because I was sick of singing hymns, sick of religion, and sick of people trying to tell anyone who would listen that their version of religion was better than everyone else's. I sure as hell don't want to start singing hymns at Ibrox now.

Fuck all to do with defiance, we're just doing what we've always done:
Though the straits be broad and narrow, it's follow we will......

Don't buy the Record ffs, all you need to know is here:

Sandy Jardine - Rangers Legend Get well soon. Look forward to seeing you at Ibrox again in the near future. WATP.

This is our only home game this month so I'm hoping for around the 50k mark and would really like to see us top it for the 1st time this season.

Thank you..
Keyboard pacifists refusing to back any sort of protest
Does my nut in.
Way too many of our support are apathetic, disrespectful and disloyal. The abuse Super Ally is currently taking is a case in point.
-
More fuss over a show of support for one of our legends what is wrong with it? I support it in any shape or form as he is in shit state yes self inflicted but maybe a big show from a club he served well and was worshiped might not saying will but give him just a wee shake. He is in a tough place and that video i switched off after i seen him. I'd rather show him support than go to his funeral with a banner!
My sentiments exactly!
-
Way to many people happy to roll over or and admit defeat..
We showed at Hampden that we can protest in huge numbers
All we get is the petition figures thrown at us when trying to rally the troops
No surrender is lost on many in Bears Den..
Well said!

Bacon for the rolls.....check
Booze....check
Comfy sofa to watch game....check
I am sorted then!
You've got the bacon for the rolls but do you have the rolls for the bacon?
-
Well in that case...
To Victory!
And the plus side of victory is..................there'll be no need for the independence referendum
-
Now there's a good idea
Would it be divisive if opt for Jim Beam though?
No not at all......lets work our way round the gantry!
Get Rangers back in the SPL before it's too late

Davie Provan is right, the SPHell does need Rangers, but we don't need the SPHell.
They mortally wounded us, then sent us to the 3rd Division to die. But they were far too cocky, celebrating our death before it had come. They underestimated our resilience, our will to live, our new leader, and of course, our battle cry.....The Cry Is No Surrender. Every other Saturday we stand nearly 50,000 strong, cheering on our team as they take us back towards the top. But we do it our way, with dignity, with pride, and with our heads held high, and without any 'fast-tracking'. This year we'll win the the 3rd division, next year the 2nd, and the following year the 1st, giving the Scottish League clubs a much needed cash boost in the process. Then, just as the SPHell are about to celebrate the return of the cash cow, we announce that we're off to join the Conference.
RANGERS FOREVER, FOREVER RANGERS
