  1. Finally a post about a post... ...get a saw - job sorted.
  2. If it is good enough for the Queen to wear then... Threads like this is how the Blue Man Group started! beware
  3. Fans opinions of the manager - collected 2015 from Rangersmedia... '... but this is just a page of bread jokes' thinks giant crumpets Mark 'and what is this magic hat, its just ma heid warmer' ...oh dear the accents kickin in. At least ma heids warm - magic.
  4. Stuart Mccoll on a car roof statue - not a drop spilled... But honestly statues are for pigeons. So no more.
  5. It was like the 'culprits' were given their own mirophone - it was pretty loud for generic background noise at a 50000 crowd stadium... I am sure they said when apologising when we were 0-2 down 'obviously emotions are high in the rangers end and dugout' not 100% sure? As if fitba folk are offended by rude words. They did appologise too during the Camanachd Cup final (shinty for non-teuchters) too for rude words at the weekend. Perhaps its the microphones themselves at it.
  6. Rangers are European Football 1956-1958; 1959-1965; 1966-1974; 1975-1980; 1981-2012; 2016?
  7. Its the old scales thing - the big picture being some fans sees the positive aspects still outweighing the negative. Yes his morals re money etc are suspect BUT his playing career with us etc was important. Other fans have damned him - its a personal decision in the end - we don't all have the same opinion on certainly a very emotional subject. Still a number two despite the different wording.
  8. Quick someone make a poll... I'm for Waghorn. Lovely goal. They were all lovely though.
  9. Indifferent... to err is human. But he had a moral choice - and chose to party after a cup defeat, not to step down after shocking results (choosing to go over some reason over lay offs!) and most damning choosing money over Rangers best interest. Indifferent. Like in 2004 - he let people down who previously had presumably thought differently of him. 'I just want to say I have been a complete fool. The only thing that matters is Allison and the boys.' - Mccoist 2004
  10. Player - was good at his job, one of lads - the 'cheeky chappie'. Always thought no matter what happened Mccoist could at anytime score. Doesn't mean he is morally sound or would make a good manager. Fond memories of the player for me. TV personality - never watched it much but he seemed too... easy going (immature?). Couldn't see Warburton etc be like Mccoist. Manager - got results yes. Play on the park, tactics etc poor. Too again easy going. Seemed out his depth and towards the end a bit 'unwell - run down' look - couldn't handle the pressure - ie Ramsden cup final? No fond memories of the manager. Disasterous but not fatal. Post-manager - big issue I think with most fans - the morality of the contract gardening leave. Poor decision my Mccoist for me. Seems to have done irreparable damage to his status with some. Not so with me though I think he should have done the mature thing (is he?) and not taken it. So Ally Mccoist is a solid number 2 for me.
  11. True. I should perhaps added some Rangers fans for clarity I wasn't generalizing. I remember other club fans coming out with similar vitriol when he was a player and thinking he's getting under their skin... now... yes again some disagree about the morality issues re money - I'm not happy with it myself but... depressing.
  12. So, what do we think of 'Rangers legend' Ally Mccoist then? Depressing really when we consider these are the the opinions of Rangers fans. But it may show no one person is greater than the club when they cross a moral line that is embedded in the fabric of Rangers. While I think he was an average manager (not the standard for Rangers being poor on the field) and he has an adiction to money (what he has done with it do we know? He was legally entitled to it - it is not as if he is a bank robber. But it was not the moral thing to do...) I wont be abusive toward him. And while I could say it mimicks the vitriol of other clubs fans I won't condemn the above as he was our 'legend' and we have the right to be critical. "Most of all I want to express my gratitude to Rangers fans everywhere, they were superb and they backed me and my staff. They also stood firm when their club was in dire straits and even at the bleakest moments they did not flinch. They are the heart and soul of this club and no-one should ever forget that. Quite simply they are the best." - Ally Mccoist
  13. Expecting a 'campaign' medal in the post for all the brave souls - especially the ones feeling 'superior'? Going to games during tough times or good times or not because one is serving ones country, working to put food on the table, a bereavement or otherwise is irrelevant as long as we all support the same team. A sense of loyalty to all things Rangers is a good thing but superiority over fellow Bears - no - not cool.
  14. I want a goal for every minute played. I expect at least 10. 5-0 then.
