  1. Been hearing the rumors about Ibrox being renamed and ta be honest I don't really mind that if it brings in much needed revenue. But I was lookin at pictures of Ibrox and I personally think other than the main stand the rest is nothing special and is looking a bit dated. Now I know at this moment in time it is far down the list of priorities but what do yous think could be done to improve the remaining 3 stands?
  2. When are the board going ta listen to us and ask him to resign or even just sack him? We have been going backwards for the last few years and its not going ta change any time soon. Even if it costs us close ta 1million to get rid you won't here many complaints about the cost and I'm pretty sure it will cost us a whole lot more than that if he is to carry on in charge. Enough is enough
  3. Yea of course we can all moan about the latest signings but at the end of the day 1st and foremost we need to get back in the top division and we all know Boyd will give us 30 + goals which could be the difference between going up or staying in the championship. I for one can't wait for the season ta start
  4. http://spfl.co.uk/news/article/hegarty-makes-linfield-switch/? Defender Chris Hegarty has signed a two-year deal with Linfield after leaving Rangers. The 21-year-old Northern Irishman saw his most recent campaign at Ibrox disrupted due to injuries and he made only two appearances in 2013/14. Linfield boss Warren Feeney said: "Chris is a quality player. He had a year left of his contract at Rangers but when I spoke to him he was excited at the prospect of coming to this club." view all articles » Read more at http://spfl.co.uk/news/article/hegarty-makes-linfield-switch/?#JAxh3y0ghCuzKdwk.99
  5. http://www.scotlandnow.<No links to this website>/sport/story-former-rangers-star-fernando-3595996? FERNANDO RICKSEN was just another interview subject for Dutch journalist Vincent de Vries. Until he came to Scotland to meet him. The sports hack was sent to Ibrox to do a couple of pieces with the controversial Rangers right back during his incident-packed spell in Glasgow that saw him hit the front pages with almost as much regularity as he spent at the back of every paper in the country. De Vries then followed Ricksen to Russia after his transfer to Zenit St Petersburg and a wild night out cemented a friendship that had grown steadily - because the journalist, who was freelance at the time and could have made a fortune from selling the story, kept his mouth and his laptop closed. "That was a crazy night but when I returned to Holland, we kind of lost touch for a couple of years. But when he left St Petersburg and came back to Holland, to coach at Fortuna Sittard, I caught up with him again and suggested to Fernando that he really should publish his life story," Vincent smiled. "He has already lived the life of three or people because his story is not just about being a football player. "He was a top class international athlete who was into everything - sex, scandal, drugs - yet he wasn't very well known in Holland. The book changed that." It certainly did. 'Fighting Spirit - The Fernando Ricksen Story' has already sold 70,000 copies in his homeland and this week it stood at No 2 in the Amazon sportsbook charts in the UK. "Only Pirlo is ahead of him," said de Vries. "Ferguson and Mourinho's books are third and fourth, so he is in good company!" Fernando's story is, of course, blighted by tragedy. Just as it was being launched, he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease and the deterioration in the condition of this supreme athlete has been as quick as it has been heartbreaking. "It has been an emotional time, there is no denying that," de Vries added. "At first, Fernando didn't know what was wrong with him but when it was confirmed that he had MND, he didn't even know what it was. "He is still a strong guy mentally, but he knows he won't live forever. He just wants to make sure his wife and his family are okay now. "He is a changed man from the guy I first met and not only because of the illness. It's so sad that he got sick at a time in his life when he is so happy and settled with his family." That wasn't the case when de Vries first hooked up with the right back during his time at Ibrox. He said: "We just had a normal journalist-footballer relationship. I was sent over to interview him a couple of times and we got on okay but it was just a couple of meetings at Ibrox and no more. "When he moved to St Petersburg, I was sent to spend a few days with him to record his life in Russia. That's when I saw just how crazy his life could be. "We went to a couple of nightclubs but he told me that this was all off the record. When nothing appeared, he knew he could trust me. "You can't write someone's life story unless you trust each other and I told him if we were to do it, we had to do it properly and it had to include things that didn't make him look good. "He agreed and this is a very honest book. The only thing he wouldn't do was name names of other people who were involved in some of the things that went on. He feels that if those people want to admit to them, then that's fine but it is not his place to do it." De Vries visited Ricksen at his home in Belgium no fewer than 30 times to collect the information and thoughts he needed before committing the former Rangers player's words to paper. And he admits he is delighted that Ricksen is satisfied with the outcome. "You know, Fernando wasn't too well known in Holland before the book," he said. "He was a much bigger star in Scotland than in his own country. "But now everyone knows his story. He was on holiday in Turkey last week, in a resort popular with Dutch people and many of them had his book with them. He spent a lot of time signing copies. "We are now on the third edition of it and it has been updated to include his illness. The book was just coming out when he was diagnosed, so it was important to update it. "It has been an emotional time and this weekend, I know a lot of Rangers fans are travelling to Sittard for his testimonial match. "That means so much to him. He has always said that his time in Glasgow was the best of his career. He loves Rangers and knows he is loved by their fans. "That kind of support has given him strength when he has most needed it." • FIGHTING SPIRIT by Fernando Ricksen and Vincent de Vries, published by Arena Sport is available now, priced £16.99.
  6. theres a difference in winning league 1 and 2 to the championship. just thing there is too much shit going on behind the scenes and that will rub off on the players
  7. we carry on the way we are we will never be back in the top division
  8. is there ever gonna be an end to all this shite?? you wake up every morning wondering whats gonna be next. it seems like so many years ago now that all we cared about was who we were signing next, who was we playing in a semi-final, where we was going on a pre season tour, just anything to do with football. Is that not why we all love this club?? to see us triumph over every team and be the best?? Why cant every faction just come together drop all the shite and all pull together to make rangers the top team in the country again. seriously sick to death of it all yes previous boards have made mistakes but we have to draw the line in the sand somewhere. why cant we just be the famous Glasgow Rangers again
  9. do they still not have a sponsor?? if not surely it must be the only league in europe without one. laughable really
  10. Moving on up is Gallagher mission at Rangers CALUM GALLAGHER never got a chance to finish what he started. Chris JackGroup Sports Writer Tuesday 20/05/2014 0 Comments Share Print Calum Gallagher wants to challenge for more regular first-team football at Gers after making a breakthrough Now the Rangers kid is determined to pick up where he left off as he looks to make the transition from Murray Park prospect to Ibrox star next season. As Ally McCoist's side cruised over the League One finishing line in the final few weeks of the campaign, Gallagher was one of the few talking points for the Light Blue legions. After marking his Gers bow with a goal in the 2-0 win over Dunfermline in March, he would play a key role in the Scottish Cup victory over Albion Rovers a few days later and show up well in the wins over Brechin, Arbroath and Ayr United as the champions went unbeaten in the third tier. It may have taken until the final few weeks of the campaign for Gallagher to make his breakthrough but the 19-year-old showed that he need not be a one-season wonder as thoughts turn to the Championship kick-off. His final game of the term came last week as he helped Gordon Durie's side to the SFA Youth Cup, the Light Blues lifting the silverware in dramatic fashion after a penalty shoot-out success over Hearts. It was the perfect way to round off Gallagher's breakthrough season, but the forward admits the final whistle of the campaign came at just the wrong time for him as he settled into life in the Ibrox spotlight. "I think the season did end at a bad time for me," he said. "I was getting more accustomed to being with the first team and being in the first team fold and with the players and in that environment. "The scale of everything at first-team level does take a while to get used to, in terms of the crowds, the pressure, the expectation, and I was getting more used to it. "So, in a selfish way, the end of the season did come too soon for me. "But all I can do is focus on working hard over the summer, making sure I come back sharp, and hopefully I can pick up where I left off." With his boots now packed away, Gallagher can enjoy his summer break and reflect on a job well done after he made his move into McCoist's squad and played his part in successes for the Ibrox first and second strings. While the close season will give the Gers stars some well deserved down time, the hard work is continuing for McCoist as he looks to shape his squad for a shot at Championship glory. Rangers are now just one title win away from a return to Scotland's top tier, but after two seasons of slugging it out against part-time opposition, they will face a far sterner test next time out. Even if no new players arrive at Ibrox in the coming weeks, McCoist's side should still have enough quality to see off their Championship rivals and claim the silverware. Gallagher is determined to be in the best shape possible to ensure he can mix it with the likes of Hearts, Falkirk, and maybe even Hibernian next season. He said: "I have always had a good focus through the summer. We get programmes given us to do over the summer and I will do that. "But it is important that you have a bit of down time at the start. I will maybe take a shorter break this time than I would had I not been involved with the first team. I will come back as fit as I can be." After months of physical exertion, the lengthy summer break will give the Rangers stars a chance to recharge their batteries and recover from a campaign that saw them only drop six points in League One, reach the Scottish Cup semi-finals and the final of the Ramsdens Cup. Midfielder Nicky Law admitted last month that he couldn't wait to jet off on holiday to get a temporary reprieve from the mental pressure of being a Rangers player after his first campaign in Light Blue saw him, and his team-mates, analysed and criticised like never before. It is a situation Gallagher will, if he can maintain his place in McCoist's squad, have to handle more next season and the youngster knows the expectation from the stands will never lessen at Ibrox. "It doesn't matter what level you are playing at, there is always a level of expectation and pressure at Rangers," he said. "The boys certainly did themselves justice. They went through the season unbeaten. "There have maybe been a few lapses in performances, but you can't ask for too much better in terms of the results. "I have had no real experience of the criticism, everyone has been nothing but nice to me, which is great. That might come next season!" It is not just on the field where Gallagher has been thrust into the spotlight in recent weeks, with his commitments away from the training field or Ibrox on a matchday steadily increasing as he has become a more familiar face in Light Blue. From press conferences and photocalls to promotional events and school visits, the Gers kid has handled life in the media glare with a maturity beyond his years and is relishing everything that comes with being a first-team star at the club. Gallagher said: "It is strange. I am asked to do a lot more away from football and it is unreal how quickly things change for you when you are pushed into the spotlight. "I do love it, though. It is something that comes with playing for Rangers. We have got a great foundation at Murray Park, we are all well prepared and informed and know what to expect. "It is not an issue being able to handle the exposure you get of being a first-team player."
  11. aye mate 1999 fucking love watching that game not just for the football on show but just to see them cretins for what they really are
  12. seeing all there greeting faces that day was smashing ha ha was in the corby rangers club for helicopter sunday and apart from the birth of my son was probably the best day of my life
  13. was a fucking excellent day. one of many iv had supporting our great club
  14. well thats it you expect from the beats from the east but when you have dundee fans for instance spouting there pish its fucking unbelievable considering they went into admin twice
  15. fair enough you might not get them up the road but down here there is plenty of pubs where both rangers and celtic fans watch the game. dont always end well right enough ha
  16. aye it is indeed. im not registered on there or nothing i just sometimes have a wee look but i dont think ill be going back
  17. what everyone's favorite rangers moment other than helicopter sunday or the uefa cup run?? Mines has to be the 2002 scottish cup final when lovenkrands scored in the last minute. Was watching the game in a mixed pub and to see half the pub go mental was a fantastic feeling. Some people may say they never want to play the scum again but personaly i cant wait for moments like this again.
  18. looking to buy 2 for me and my son was hoping to have it in time for his bday in 2weeks time
  19. i normally wouldn't give a fuck either just sick ta death of rangers being constantly called cheats. i know i shouldn't let it bother me but it does
  20. i wasnt actually talking about celtic fans i was on about the rest of the diddies
  21. i have just been reading another scottish football forum and the hatred towards us is clear to see which we obviously expect. But what really winds me up is us being called cheats and what not for leaving creditors out of pocket. Now of course it was out of order that happened but unless im missing something did hearts, dunfermline, livingston, motherwell, dundee (twice) and a few others not do this exact same thing when they all entered administration?? but to see the way they go on about us its as if none of this ever happened. Total hypocrisy and its fucking sickening. CUNTS the lot of them!!! and i really cant wait till we are back at the top where we belong to shut these fuckers up.

Pictures: Paul Tipping. POLICE were called to Port Glasgow after ex Rangers and Scotland star Andy Goram was allegedly hit by a spectator after a charity football match. The former Ibrox no.1 was taking part in an Old Firm legends match at Parklea on Friday night. One eyewitness said: “Andy Goram was hit over the head — or slapped over the head — by a spectator as he was leaving the playing field.” Police confirmed they were called but officers have today said it was a ‘minor incident’. Sergeant Allan O’Hare said: “We got a call at 9.40pm on Friday of reports that one of the goalkeepers had been punched, allegedly Andy Goram. “He was spoken to and said he wasn’t assaulted. He said he was slapped on the head while signing autographs.” must of been a taig
