An excellent piece IMO, sums up the last week or so perfectly. Whilst it's been enjoying watching them squirm there is a dangerous undercurrent to their reporting which continues to paint us as the villain and do untold damage to the club's brand and reputation.
The club need to stand up and do something about this shit.
I think Gerrard should have come out sooner than he has, I know he was away with his family but we needed a voice to cut through the crap and also be heard down south.
    Either way, a great piece.

Old Firm media embarrassment and VAR control
    @RICKYBOBBY1872
Over ten years ago, in a moment of unguarded and wholesome clarity, Tom English, now of the BBC, once declared that “celtic don’t want consistency from referees, they want decisions, good or bad, in their favour.”
He was right of course. It applies to all teams. It applies to all fans in the latent natural bias that exists in being a supporter. I don’t watch a Rangers match as an impartial observer and any decisions for and against my club matter and in the fog of battle you will claim and cling onto almost anything. The commentators are there to provide insight, information and hopefully some balanced reason to the unfolding spectacle.
The recent Rangers vs celtic match was a good contest and the result almost universally accepted along with the feeling that nothing too controversial occurred. The referee and his team would’ve breathed a sigh of relief after the match and all in all it was a good day's work. Perhaps the greatest compliment John Beaton will ever receive was when Andy Walker specifically mentioned his handling of the game in the 60th minute, praising him for letting the game flow and basically treating players openly and fairly in a well-fought, physical game. Further nods to the lack of officiating drama were provided in the post-match interviews when both managers had no complaints about the result or the referee. On social media most of the press pack praised Rangers performance, endorsed the result and rated Benton's performance as good (which in Scottish refereeing terms is stratospheric). Newspapers, tabloids included, said similar, at least initially. One good example is that Graham Spiers tweeted Beaton was 'terrific'.
Then something changed. At some stage later that evening an edict was sent out to members of the Scottish press to change the narrative.
Like any game of football there's always scope for different perspectives and different interpretations. There will inherently be the Rangers, the celtic or the neutral viewpoint; and with reason, time and the clearing of the battle fog those usually converge towards an accepted neutral position for most incidents. As with any match there’s dozens of incidents to pour over and a different view can be drawn or a different decision demanded from the referee on those. There were flicks, kicks and shoves from all parties during the game – many of which could’ve been argued to a yellow or red card. If you really want to you can eke out injustice in any match, you just choose the incidents you want and ignore the ones that don’t fit your agenda.
Tabloids will also pick up on individual incidents and sensationalise them - that’s to be expected. But even with that you would hope they would be balanced in their selections – for both commercial sense and the basic true representation of events. Quite why the BBC would get swept up in a seemingly agenda-laden, unbalanced witch-hunt is a bit more surprising and disappointing.
The BBC still trades on trust. It's part of its brand built up over decades. Trust to deliver the news. Trust to be accurate and impartial. Yet some of its main commentators in Scotland seem to have ditched their original reasoned thoughts on the match and picked up the new ones at exactly the same time as the shock-jocks and tabloids. The BBC receive footage of the match and then cut and edit it to suit. In this case they chose to focus on incidents involving Alfredo Morelos. He got his own headline montage for three alleged incidents, and this subject matter was pushed and discussed as the primary content of the match. This narrative later ascended into calls for the compliance officer to act; apparently only on the three incidents involving the Rangers player and no other incidents in the game. The public were told these were serious incidents and the compliance officer absolutely has to act, mustn't they? Actually no, they don’t. Cue the indignation to the failed witch-hunt, which was provided in spades by tabloids and BBC alike in a synchronised outpouring. Incredible, ten days after the match, BBC Scotland are still showing the above montage.
To be clear, the position pushed was the celtic favouring viewpoint. A montage could’ve easily been provided balance with a reckless challenge by Brown, a stamp by Christie and a goal-denying hand-ball in the box by McGregor, that would have been a fairer summary. These could’ve and probably should’ve been forwarded to the compliance officer at the same time. I have no idea if they were as no one knows the protocol for the compliance officer reviewing incidents though given the force of the BBC's campaign they seem to be confident that they decide what the CO looks at. Beyond that and and just as easily a Rangers favouring agenda could’ve been pushed with a narrative of all three celtic player incidents demanding red cards and action from the compliance officer. That would’ve been just as easy and just as justified.
So why was the celtic viewpoint on this allowed to be propagated? Why was balance cast aside within the BBC to seek sanction against Rangers and Morelos alone and overlook the equally merit worthy acts from the celtic players?
Quite simply, the media response has been ridiculous and toxic. Some of the outrageous comments from Chris Sutton and John Hartson are disgusting and surely beyond the threshold of decency from paid pundits? But they are at least partially understandable (SFA stitch-up to stop celtic the only explanation for Morelos let off - Sutton) in that they were celtic players. Unfortunately, Sutton now regularly refers to a Rangers striker as 'Buffalo Brains' which is petty, laughable and downright unprofessional from someone else who often played the game on the same edge Morelos does. Quite why BT Sports and the Record provide Sutton with a platform to regularly attack Rangers from a clearly unbalanced position is another story.
One can only surmise that a similar arrangement exists for the BBC's main protagonists? They are allowed whatever opinion they want, if it is actually their opinion, but part of that surely relies on a degree of consistency? The problem here is we have some functioning human adults doing a complete 180° in many of their stances in full public view - there must be something about blue shirts that throws their reasoning circuits into spasm? On Twitter you will find numerous example of this staggering hypocrisy (the @RangersObserver feed in particular is worth a look for good examples of this.
Now, this would all be fairly hilarious if it wasn’t so serious. The BBC has been party to driving a fairly extreme and partisan viewpoint on something. This then, possibly through design, fosters a sense of injustice within a section of society. Which in turn results in strong emotions which then spill over and before long we have death threats against the referee - (Old Firm ref John Beaton 'calls in cops' after threats following Morelos decision) despite a fairly decent performance which was also commended by many high level ex-referees. It is really pretty simple, if the ridiculous stance hadn’t been pushed by the BBC and the Scottish media then the animosity would not have been ramped up with John Beaton in the cross-hairs. It goes without saying that celtic got their oar in too with a statement, short in self-awareness, with calls for public explanations and meetings at Hampden.
Of course, the ones who started the whole episode now either try and distance themselves from the consequences or flat out deny any culpability in it. However, at some stage surely the media in this country has to accept responsibility, this isn’t reporting the news or facts this was pushing bizarre and extreme nonsense. So why was that narrative chosen and who chose it? There would appear to be several reasons in it being chosen.
The Rangers win was monumental in many ways. It held way more meaning to the club and support than the three points at stake and it burned away much of the cloud hanging over the club since 2012. celtic were also very poor. Their form is stagnating from previous years and their manager and board don’t appear to be singing from the same hymn sheet. Peter Lawwell, the recent recipient of a huge multi-million pound bonus, needed to deflect from all of that. And the celtic board know that the celtic support love nothing more than a big bucket of injustice to pickle their collective victim-hood in. In short, deflection from a relatively poor performance and boardroom issues. Peter Adam Smith at ITV summed it up perfectly in his tweet:
Replying to @PeterAdamSmith @PolhomeEditor: Pretty sure you’re the only journalist I’ve seen coming out to condemn this , the rest appear to have rallied round it and entrenched themselves . Journalists talk about fans being poisonous , this is up there with some of the worst things you’ll see in Scottish football.
@PeterAdamSmith: It’s objectively bizarre. celtic have won the league 7 years in a row, 7 out of the last 7 trophies in Scotland. This was their first league defeat to Rangers in 6.5 years. And celtic still top of the league. If there’s some plot to stop celtic, it’s the worst conspiracy ever.
One of my long-standing gripes with the BBC has been the quality and flavour of their coverage for a number of years now and this Old Firm game was a perfect microcosm of this. During a dialogue with an Aberdeen fan he questioned Morelos not being cited by the compliance officer. I’d asked if he didn’t think the other incidents were worthy of attention? He hadn’t seen them. He hadn't watched the match and relied on the BBC's output to form his opinions. The other incidents mentioned in the discussion where Naismith’s (Hearts) kick at Brown (celtic), McGregor kicking out at Ajer (celtic) and Morelos’ successful appeal of his red card (at Aberdeen). These were the incidents the BBC staff had chose to make a big deal out of. In my opinion they deliberately ignored plenty of similar and valid incidents and selected certain others to fit an agenda. I’m also content enough in my observations to state that many of their match reports don’t accurately reflect the matches and in particular the key incidents from those. There is a definitive theme to much of their reporting and it doesn’t favour Rangers. The recent Old Firm fallout just further cements this for me. This isn’t what the BBC is meant to be. Obviously, I don't expect pro-Rangers coverage, just balanced journalism for all clubs.
The problem is that the BBC should be above this and we all fund it through the license fee. I know I don’t pay for their news to represent transparent third party agendas. It should be beyond reproach but it has been hijacked in recent years. This cannot simply be ignored because the BBC it is too big to be ignored. The BBC Reporting Scotland bulletins play throughout the day and will reach across the society far outside the relatively small hard-core that follow and discuss what’s going on in football. Those listeners will hear and believe that Beaton is corrupt, he helped Rangers, Morelos is a thug and should be banned, Rangers players get away with stuff and, equally important, there were no issues with the celtic players. That is the message that BBC Scotland chose to put out. Reporting Scotland regularly reaches 500,000 listeners, 10% of the country. That is more than the Rangers Twitter account, worldwide. For some measure of scale the bigger Rangers fan accounts have around 20,000 followers. The excellent 'Heart and Hand' podcast may get 80,000 hits for its weekly flagship shows and has 3,500 subscribers who enjoy the daily updates but it still lags well behind mainstream media figures. Those numbers and reach is why the continued flagrant misuse of the BBC cannot be ignored.
We have seen things escalated still further from the threats on John Beaton. The referees union have even issued a statement calling for the SFA to do more.
Somewhat brazenly Tom English at the BBC has the gall to report on it. His article continuing the narrative that his volte-face, celtic-centred view of the game was justified, that those were the only incidents in the game and the only points of note. The rest never happened. The truth now buried under seven days of continuous agenda-driven invective. And near the end of the article is his clarion call - the mention of VAR.
Take yourself back to 2010. The last time we were here, celtic kicked in the front doors of the SFA and they helped themselves to a desk or two. They created the compliance officer position and they’ve pretty much kept it as their own pet project to this very day. Yes, this is the system they are currently raging against.
Is this the purpose of this mock-indignation and tears of injustice? To get a seat at the table of VAR and ensure celtic gain the same access and control as they did to the compliance officer? VAR, like reporting and like the CO role, completely relies on a degree of impartiality, it relies on everything been treated on its own merits and it relies on consistency. It will also rely on the media assisting with the costs and tech infrastructure. Would VAR function correctly if the same guys who wrote the script for the Old Firm fallout get their hands on it? It's certainly a frightening prospect that Rangers need to act on much stronger than they currently do.

That's all fine we except the rules,. But why have the rules not been applied when we played them at the beggerdome dome n the SC?  We are entitled to 12,000 tickets yet get 7,500 because of the way the built the thing.   So if we go there we will have our 12,000 tickets which is the full stand behind the goal and the wee corner bit.
The club must get this clarified as we will take every single ticket the rules say we should get and fuck it if it holds 55,000 because of segregation etc that's their fucking problem

    I'll have to disagree.
The salient points for me are:
Our biggest challenge is getting rid of the dross who are under contract. We only have one team to beat, the scum, who are not the invincibles they all like to make out.
We will have better players in. How many will depend upon how many we can get rid of.
Change is already happening and pivotal to it is the appointment of the brand that is Stevie G. That alone makes us less toxic and more attractive and a better investment. The scum are blind sided by the appointment and ARE horrified at the prospect. WE stole their double treble winning thunder. So we did do well on the PR front.
King gets rid of the useless one that is Murray.
King publicly attacks the SFA bigot.
We announce massive reductions for visiting away fans.
As for PR, Having Gerrard alone takes us up the food chain and I doubt he'll be taking any shite. The SMSM big brothers down south will also be having their say and he is a legend in their eyes. Maybe some might just be put in their place and not to be made look the fools they really are.
We can be rest assured that the footballing menu served up by Gerrard will be a much different prospect and there will no longer be any slackers.
This appointment has turned the game on it's head up here. The haters were blind sided by it and fucking hate it, because they know the real challenge is now coming and we have taken the spotlight away from the scum for all the right reasons.
As for King, yes we all know what he his, but his latest moves are positive big time for us. Wouldn't worry about TOP, yes he's playing, but it is well covered. The time has now come to put his misdemeanors behind us and unite behind him, repelling all boarders,  because this will be the first year n three under his tenure that we are seriously moving forward and it is down to him. If this all goes tits up, he is up for losing some serious coin. IMO it's a well considered risk and one that can be well managed to succes and King more than anyone knows that. There is also more to this, as time will tell and all to the good.
Early days I know, but there is so much to be positive about and to look forward to.
As for Jackson, his piece is no more than a poisoned pen, scribed by a rabid for rabids. He is an irrelevance.

I looked at this subjectively and decided that the whole article was basically badly written, ill advised from an objective journalistic sense, and basically just there to attention seek as there is actually very little of a factual or objective nature.

On a more objective note however ,this single sentence surprised and shocked me.
"It’s an unpleasant enough experience in there as a Falkirk fan or one of any other diddy club, without the 10x magnification of hostilities their rivals bring out."
"Falkirk......or....any other diddy club"    "Diddy Clubs"  ?  That one sentence describing every other team in Scotland outwith us (and his beloved cellic) as "Diddy Clubs" shows that in reality he has a deep inbred, contemptuous and warped attitude towards the rest of Scottish football as well.

INSTITUTIONALISED PREJUDICE AGAINST Rangers – ARE WE THERE YET?
There is almost certainly not a club in world football that faces the daily barrage of negativity and animosity that Rangers does. There is likely not a club that possesses such a dedicated, vitriolic and well organised enemy as the “anti-Rangers movement”.
It is a unique situation where the largest sporting entity in the country – a proud institution that has contributed so much to that country’s prosperity – is the focus of such relentless and all-consuming scorn and derision. So much so that, rather than offer support to the club in its hour of need, the forces within this country preferred to batter it to the ground (or try to).
The process of systematically targeting Rangers FC through the press, the SFA and even the government has become more intense, more widespread and more blatant since we entered administration and were left vulnerable.
The question now is: are we already operating in a climate of INSTITUTIONALISED PREJUDICE against Rangers Football Club and its supporters?

    *********

    THEIR INFLUENCE IN THE MEDIA
The infiltration of the Scottish media was a movement of stealth, a loose affiliation of the ‘celtic-minded’ over a number of years until there came a point when they were able to noticeably start pushing their bitter agenda through the Scottish press/radio/TV (and even further afield through left-wing publications like the Guardian). Just think modern day and the planned tabloid serialisation of Ill-Phil's vicious, hate-fuelled hatchet job on our club; or the cartoon of Ally committing suicide; or anything by Spiers; or the biased undertone of so much football content on the radio.
There is no doubt that, since the rise of the SNP, this anti-Rangers movement has enjoyed an almost free reign to increase its bitter propaganda in the press.
THEIR APPARENT INFLUENCE OVER THE LAW…
For me (and I fucking hate to mention this individual) the classic example of how these people now exert their control in The People’s Rhepublic of Scotland - is Haggerty. This angry, bitter woman complained to the police about the social media abuse she was receiving due to a podcast by a Rangers fan (never mind that she actively sought to bait Rangers fans on a daily basis). The police said "no crime committed" and THEN....Ms Haggerty engages the help of her mhedia buddies to FORCE the police to suddenly leap into action and arrest the guy who did the podcast. [Did a wee phone call maybe take place from one of Salmond's cohorts to the Chief Constable??] Inevitably, the legal system then kicked dutifully into gear and ensured the dude went to the jail. Strange outcome when no crime was committed, no?
    THEIR INFLUENCE WITHIN THE SFA
Few of us feel any real surprise each time there is a new instance of an influential figure in Scottish football harbouring an anti-Rangers bias. The warped agenda of the SFA was made abundantly clear (if it wasn’t already) following our entry into admin in 2012.
Gary Hughes is quite likely one of a number of Liewell “plants” within the SFA given the directive of taking every possible opportunity to twist and manipulate the official SFA rules to hurt and undermine Rangers FC. This new revelation about Hughes is a minor "blip" for these people. It is an unfortunate instance of their anti-Rangers/anti-Protestant agenda being exposed for what it is. Liewell will be pissed off because he likes to carry out his manipulations in such a way that we KNOW full well what’s happening but we can do fuck all about it. That’s the entire basis of his self-satisfied supercilious smirk. In common with most of his ilk, his hatred of Rangers far outweighs his love of celtic.
THEIR ATTEMPT TO INFLUENCE THE WIDER PERCEPTION OF Rangers
Influencing the law…influencing the media…ultimately the anti-Rangers movement want to influence how we are perceived. They want to marginalise us and redefine us in the eyes of Scottish society and, indeed, British society as a whole. They want us to be regarded as ignorant and outdated, an unwelcome demographic that has no place in the SNP’s modern vision of Scotland. Ironically, the main thrust of their propaganda is to label us as obsessive, bitter, aggressive and bigoted – all the things that have been proven time and time again to be THEIR primary characteristics.
In fairness, they have been more determined and more united in their cause than we have been in defending ourselves over the last couple of decades. The rise of the SNP and the clusterfuck of negativity surrounding our demise in 2012 have made it easier for their anti-Rangers narrative to gain traction.
Their number contains plenty of calculated strategists and manipulators who have successfully ingratiated themselves (and their cause) to the woolly minded liberal appeasers that are sadly more prevalent in our society than ever before. I’m talking about the type of folk who think equality means discriminating in favour of minorities rather than ensuring a level playing field; who think it’s sensible to mollycoddle Islamic extremists rather than expunge them; who generally fall over themselves to apologise for being British. Sadly, the propaganda in the media has sucked in many of the PC brigade hook, line and sinker.

THE FIGHTBACK - OUR WAY FORWARD...
What do we have to do?
Over the past six years we have shown incredible resilience and loyalty that has been admired across the entire footballing world (with the exception, predictably, of our own country). Given our size and our passion it is inevitable that our star will rise again and, as we recover our status on the pitch, we must also start to defend our rightful place in society.
    1.       The Rangers Board need to stand up and take issue with EACH and EVERY instance of unfair reporting and obvious prejudice, threatening and actually proceeding with legal action wherever viable. Some may think this type of constant griping is not the Rangers way, but just take a wee look at how successful the other side have been with it. We NEED to match them blow for blow in the gutter press in order to defend our reputation and stop their poisonous doctrine spreading.
    2.       The Ranger’s press liaison officers need to cultivate stronger ties (and more of them) with sympathetic journalists and media people. We need to actively feed the narrative of OUR choice rather than just react to the narrative of THEIR choice. After all, attack is the best form of defence. We should readily ban journalists and publications that clearly have an anti-Rangers bias (they need us more than we need them and if they can’t behave…)
    3.       We have to actively keep promoting a positive image of Rangers and its supporters showing that a respect of Queen, country, tradition, the armed forces and the Union flag is something to be PROUD of and goes hand in hand with welcoming EVERYONE into the Rangers family. The Rangers support is traditionally made up of proud, hard-working, decent people who conduct themselves with integrity. The anti-Rangers movement would love dearly to change this perception of us permanently.
    4.       We should embrace our rich history more than ever before (not least because it winds them up so much with their sevco crap). The recent examination of our origins and the fantastic Founders Trail that resulted are wonderful developments. Personally, I have an image in my mind of my Great Grandfather going to Ibrox back in the thirties (apparently with a rattle!) to cheer on the Rangers in the midst of the Depression. It might be hugely romanticised, but the main stand would have been there and I see him walking along Edmiston Drive in the midst of the famous mighty throng of Bears from a much simpler time. I doubt there are many clubs who value and identify with their heritage like we do.
    5.       Crazy as it now seems, some of us were briefly wooed by the SNP but now we should ALL be able to see the danger they represent. They must never get another solitary vote from the Rangers family.
    6.       We need to refrain from giving celtic fans like MOH the blue jersey. This isn’t in the least bit discriminatory or connected to religion, it just makes absolutely NO sense to fill a place in our squad with a man who will never put us first in his heart when playing our greatest rivals.
    7.       We have the largest fan-base in Scotland and consequently (as has been proved) the SPL relies on us. Yet we have not used this to our advantage. Rather, we have sucked up all the unfair treatment meted out to us and we have continued to pack away ends across the land thus giving the clubs that tried to hurt us their life-blood revenue. If need be – and without hurting the club - we should consider withdrawing the blue pound from those who actively work against us.
    8.       Finally, we must STOP APPEASING!!  We need to recapture what it means to be a RANGER (player or supporter).
    a)       Ex-players who don’t stand their ground and defend the club when in the media should NOT be welcome at Ibrox. You may say that it’s necessary to ‘toe the line’ in order to get work in the biased Scottish mhedia but this is a defeatist attitude that actually MAKES OUR SITUATION WORSE. It’s no surprise that proud Rangers men like Willie Henderson and Davie Wilson make Terry Butcher look like a Judas weasel.
    b)       Our celebrity fans should stand proud and say ‘Rangers all the way!’ when asked their team, not mumble it into their fucking boots like it’s something they’re a wee bit ashamed of.
    c)       Those sympathetic to us in the media should find the confidence to counteract the bias we face by reporting in a way that, God forbid, actually favours us and tarnishes them.
    d)       Hand-wringers and apologists should be banned from holding office at the club or representing the club in any official capacity whatsoever. And hand-wringers among the support should be taken to one side and quietly enlightened. These people show weakness to our enemies and are telling the world that the negativity against us is somehow justified. This delights the anti-Rangers movement and hurts the club. People the world over respect STRENGTH and SELF-BELIEF, not babbling clowns who are embarrassed by the National Anthem, the waving of our Union Flag or the singing of our traditional songs. You never see that on a supporter’s bus yet some of the posts here on RM…

In summary, we need to consciously take affirmative action if we are to reclaim what is rightfully ours. Our enemies have had a field day and we need to actively start working to redress the balance.
I think there is an inexorable link between our challenge on the field and our challenge as a community within Scotland. Success breeds confidence and it will become so much easier for us to collectively fight our corner and start to redress the balance and repair the damage of their slurs and propaganda once we are winning the league and cups again.
I’m taking the positives where I can. The repeal of the Salmond’s ridiculous “Offensive Behaviour…Act”; the newly announced ticket allocation for old firm games at Ibrox; the record uptake of season tickets.
I’m praying that King will come good with funds available to the new boss and that, in turn, Gerrard can demonstrate real managerial prowess to galvanise our squad into mounting a proper challenge. It shall indeed be a joyful thing to behold when the cosmetically enhanced grin gets wiped off Brenda’s weirdly orange face.
We have tolerated for too long, Bears. We must be strong and defend ourselves with absolute conviction. And we must be clever about it, as they have been.
Let’s take back our rightful crown and usher in a new era for our magnificent football club.

Hang your head in shame, you're the one screenshotting BBC articles and posting it on here.
BBC have done far more damage to this club and continue to do so than Allan McGregor ever has.
But aye you feel free to call us to hang our head in shame...

With all the shit about amended charges being brought against the club and the outright PR war against us... This is what you're most raging about? A former player who's made a mistake that he's admitted he regrets...
If he improves the team he's welcome.

I have plenty of constructive ideas to fight our corner.
First one - which wouldn't do much but would certainly give them an idea of the strength of feeling amongst fans - would be to have a small protest at a wee event the SFA are hosting this weekend. I'm sure thousands of bears at Hampden before, during and after the Cup Final would cause them a massive headache.
I'd stop giving a penny to other clubs in this country. No tickets, no increased allocations, no players on loan, no teams sent to play them in testimonials. Nothing.
Provide the absolute minimum required for any SFA/SPFL events. If we have to provide players for events send youth players along.
Stop the cosy wee arrangements we have with celtic over votes on the SFA/SPFL boards. (we stand a candidate/they dont and vice-versa).
I'd go out of our way to highlight every transgression by every club in the country - regardless of how petty - if necessary release statements every month highlighting said issues that haven't been dealth with.
Bin the PR guru who is more interested in fighting battles with his former colleagues on our dime than doing his job.
Release the 5WA, in its entirety, and lay bare quite the hurdles we had to agree to jump through to get our licence.
and probably most importantly, hire executives from outwith the Scottish football bubble who doesn't care about ruffling some feathers just because it might hurt who they play golf with.

You may believe that. But that complacency is what turned Glasgow green and white.
That complacency is why we get treated differently. It’s why We have an anti-British media here in Scotland and it’s why,  the subject of this thread, the Scottish Police are policing us differently from everyone else.

    Is it not?
dont the GCC favour all things celtic? Wasnt the Offensive Behaviour at football act aimed at Rangers? Didn’t Glasgow vote for independence from rUK? Isn’t Glasgow run by SNP and labour MPs who all have leanings towards the scum? Worse still didn’t we, the biggest football club in Scotland get screwed over and chucked down to the bottom league by a bunch of businessman, banks and a nefarious Inland Revenue
Because that’s what it looks like from afar and while Glasgow might have a higher population of PUL, the dignified silence is leading to marginalisation of that majority which manifests itself in very real ways
I don’t live there so maybe I am wrong and the reality is different from the perception given by the headlines

    Glasgow voted yes.
    As did Dundee.
And the Internet May have been around for 30 years but social media has not. Nor had it been weaponised until the last few years.
I don’t know what you are reading or seeing or hearing but I know many good people that are being turned by the constant narrative now. Britain is bad. Britain is racist. Britain is greedy.
The Internet is polarising opinions and creating echo chambers that grow and change whole countries as evidenced by Cambridge Analytica and Facebook etc.  PUL culture is unquestionable being demonised

    Oh grow up!!!
    Sorry couldn't resist it.
I know what you mean and it brings to mind an old saying
"There's none so blind as them as won't see." Sounds stupid I know and I'm explaining it for our millennal moronic children fans, it basically means if you close your eyes to the injustices being perpetrated against our community and our club then don't be surprised if the day arrives when we have no community or club and Scotland is the best bum chum of the oirish rhepublic.

    Absolutely.
We've just took everything that means something to us for granted and assumed we will always have it, meantime the fenians and nationalists go about their business slowly chipping away wherever they can and playing the long game.
When I was a wee boy and just into football and nothing else I never really understood it when older people to me would rant about Irish coming here and Catholics ... then when I got older and a mind of my own I seen what they meant. No dignity, no shame, nothing about them - give them an inch they demand a mile. Plenty seen these cunts coming but as usual the Prods were happy getting pissed, shouting FTP, fighting with each other at games, in Loyalist/Bluenose boozers you name it.
Decades of chipping away is now in full-scale fruition for them and you see it everywhere. Anyone that says that's paranoid or to grow up is a wank - they are the part of the problem.

Not sure how old you are, not that I'm having a dig at your post or anything but I'm 52 and the change I've seen in Scottish attitudes in the past 40 odd years that I've been paying attention have been quite dramatic.
As a group we Rangers fans specifically and the whole Protestant, unionist and loyalist community in general have been sidelined. Now if I was to go into everything this post would be so long no one would read it, but things have gone too far in the direction of the republicans, rc community etc. with no apparent sign tbat Scottish society is willing to call them out on the double standards being applied.
Maybe It's time we had a fucking civil war and get these cunts dead and buried.
