  1. Just told me ' In my opinion it's Rangers'
  2. JUmping up and doon on my seat and I wasn't young - swirling my scarf - told to sit but everybody around me got up as well. Souness / Smith were taking us back to be a more credible european team - hopefully like our new ex Liverpool manager
  3. I go back to 1970 v Bayern 1-1 and 80,000 crowd but two euro nights i remember the atmosphere and loudest noise was the Kiev 2-0 game where Souness narrowed the pitch and the 1984 gme v Inter we won 3-1 with John McClelland up front as we chased a 3-0 loss at in Milan special boos for Liam Brady. I was hoarse for a week
  4. My first memory was when he rang rings round my junior BB team on the Bishoploch School pitch. He was a classy player good vision, and passing only really lacked speed.
  5. yes - the 'signatures' are Eric Caldow, Ian McCall, Ian McMillan, John Little, George Niven, John S Symon, Sam Baird, Bill Paterson, Davie Kinnear, Jim Millar, Billy Stevenson, Alex Scott and Davy Wilson still my favourite Ranger. It is still used often by the third gers generation in remembrance of my father and his and our love for the gers!.
  6. I think we should encourage them. ssshhh keep it quiet
  7. It would appear Spiers and the green trolls are bigging up a previous incorporation of Rangers Football Club especially the word synonymous. Personally I think the word is not used when two entities are the exact same thing. The word is used to emphasise how alike two things are but not exactly the same -- eg Septic Park was synonymous with Jim'll fix it for you!!. Still laugh when they use The Rangers moniker implying something new - they seem to be unaware we've always been The Rangers.
  8. Seems like extortion to me and they still want us to cough up £500,00 for lawyers. Rangers waived right to prize money Richard Wilson Sports writer Wednesday 29 May 2013 Rangers Football Club plc and Sevco Scotland agreed to waive any claims on Scottish Premier League prize money last summer in order to be granted entry into the Scottish Football League. In a statement of affairs letter circulated to creditors by liquidators BDO, it was confirmed that the oldco and the newco had to accept the condition to allow Rangers to play in the Irn-Bru Third Division this season. The club were due £2.1m for their second-place finish in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League in 2011/12. However, last summer, negotiations were held between the Scottish Football Association, the SPL, the SFL, oldco and newco to allow Rangers to take their place in the third division. The detail of the five-way agreement has never been made public, but after being asked by creditors and shareholders, BDO have confirmed one aspect of it. "The right to this prize money was sold to Newco as part of the business and assets of the Company," BDO said in the circular. "Subsequently, to gain entry into the Football League, both Newco and the Company agreed to waive any rights to this money, which was retained by the SPL."
  9. Hello Hello - I've allways though Hello by the beloved could have changed lyrics by somebody smart. Theres a bit where he just sings list of names -players names? and a line about blue is the colour -anyway one line is hello hello hello helloooo!!!!
  10. Met him a few times, signed my rangers book and i've heard loads of others saying he's a great guy.My da thought he was great and that's good enough fo rme.
  11. We don't want to skip a division we only want promotion. WE didn't come up with this 12-12-18 did we! Even if we are in the middle 12 we still have a transfer embargo for half the season we would really have to improve on our present ability. I'm for it just call them Rangers Swifts and and play in red and black so papers dont get them mixed up and drop the colts thing.
  12. For atmosphere right up there with the Kiev Dynamo game. I was in Copeland Rd end right behind goal hoarse by half time, Inter were paniciking including a certain Liam Brady who was booed at every touch John McLelland up front causing havoc. We drank and sung after the game like we had won 10-0
  13. Don't count it as 55 if we don't count our war titles.
  14. I love it when dhims talk to me about THE Rangers and inferring it is a new name and new club - they shut up when I point that we have always called them that and glad they are now joinig in!! Glasgow has never formed any part of our name officially but hey it's just an adjective. It's not like the team Internazionale being called Inter Milan
