  1. I was named after Alexei Mikhailichenko. Was whoever scored for Rangers a few games after I was born because no one could decide on a name and he scored. But because it was Alexei they went for Andrew... no idea why they didn't go for Alex..
  2. Should be a good banter. My best mates a mad Newcastle fan and is coming with me to the game, hope we pump them so I can rub it into him, along with all bears round us within about a 30 seat radius who notices the Newcastle top in amongst us!
  3. He's a brilliant manager and could and probably will do it everywhere he manages, and that includes the SPL. And to add to his brilliance, he wouldn't accept any the pish you here coming out the dump across the city and not say anything! He gets the mentality of everyone hates us and makes the team a unit, aswell as getting into the minds of the opposition.
  4. Can anyone really look past Messi if they had the choice of any player? Don't think anything can stop the boy, and he's still young.
  5. We were very much mate, have a sore throat because of it some nice singing bit of no pope of rome if i heard right.. you can nearly see me, right under the banner....i liked the idea of the sticks behind the banner to help hold it down, nice idea haha
  6. Alexander is more used to big match situations than Marshall. He is also much better at coming for crosses than him (or McGregor for that matter). This is vital tonight as Norway will be doing what Egil Olsen always does and pump high balls into Carew (which is why the Chuckle brothers won't know how to deal with him) Marshall was in a team that were relegated from the championship last season. Alexander has been playing for a team that has won four trophies in 2 years and got to a UEFA Cup Final. it's a no brainer unless your name is George Burley Alexander has played about 30 matches in total for us at a lower level than the championship. He's had teams like St Mirren and Falkirk come at him while Marshall has had quality sides like Birmingham and Burnley to face - for 80 odd matches with Norwich. And then won a move back to that league. I refuse to allow blue tinted specs to cloud this one. Danny, you must remember that Alexander was involved in our run to the the UEFA Cup Final, and also in Champions league, big games against celtic and also in cup finals. What has Marshall played in?! Celtic are a much bigger team than either of Birmingham or Burnley! and playing in the pressures of Rangers shows hes up for big games as all Rangers games are big and the pressure is always on to keep a clean sheet. Compared to Marshall who was in a relagated team from the Championship! Even if he did play against the "big teams" he obviously didn't do that well if his side was relagated.
  7. alloa are rolling in it now then maybe they will finally finish that other stand that has been half done for like 2 years! very annoying when your on the pitch playing and the ball goes over there, lots of climbing - no fun!
  8. haha i was under that banner my seat is right underneath that some of your banners are quality! Need some We Love the Papac banners though
  9. The best song sung the whole game was "Its just like a library, just like a library" Some West Ham boys sitting behind me started singing it and about 100 or so of the Bears were singing it. It was round behind the corner flag on the bottom teir slating the Arsenal fans around us Good fun
  10. Na, he ain't. One of my friends friends used to go out with him. So either he is straight, or bisexual haha. But definately not full blown gay. lol
  11. gutted for you, i also had an english exam....although I didn't really care and went anyways Got 5 hours sleep and went to the english exam and fell asleep before the end of it fuck knows how i got a C in it haha
  12. Officials get most things right and yes they make mistakes. But to say that could cist us the league is wrong. Compare the amount of incorrect decisions officials have made to the amount of incorrect decisions or manager, coaching staff and players have made this season. No, if we lose this league it will be down to them NOT match officials. Yes we have fucked up big time at times. But even with these fuck ups we would have 4 more points in the bag if they got these two decisions right. I can accept mistakes, but they have to get the big decisions right! The Beasley one was shocking.. Could you imagine that being a different job and you made a massive fuck up, you'd be sacked, so why should officials not be questioned? There job is to get the big decisions right, yes? So if they ain't getting them right they should be dealt with, like any other job. Instead we are told not to put pressure on them . Down in England they get demoted for bad decisions and have to ref in lower leagues, maybe that needs introduced here to get some consistency and for them to realise they need to get the decisions right Fair enough if it was a one off getting this decision wrong, but it seems to be constantly happening to us.
  13. its a good bit into the net for me. The angle Setanta show it from is about a yard from the line, giving the posts an angle, so the fact you can see the ball (almost all of it when it is stopped the furthest in) past the left hand post means when the you look at it level with the by-line it is a good bit into the net. The linesman is paid to get these decisions right, and even got a pay rise...still he can't! He is looking right along the line, has nothing to stop his view but gets it wrong! And yes he did run up the pitch as if he was giving a goal, the reason Smith came out today and said he was bemused by why he done that. The linesman said it was to keep up with play? Play was dead so why would running up the field be keeping up with play? All and all the linesman got it completely wrong and in the context its just a usual thing this season...If they got decisions right we would have won the league by now (just an example....Beasley's goal...remember the one? he was a good 3 yards on but managed to be offside in the officials eyes ) They need to bring in some technology into the game. How hard can it be to have a camera at each by-line looking across the line.. or in the posts. The forth official does fuck all most of the time, all he has to have is a monitor (i'm sure he already has one) and he can review the decision and if its a goal tell the ref and the goal is given. If this was in play we would have won the league already!!!
  14. i can't believe people are claiming Hemdani to being pish! He was outstanding the season he got Rangers POTY, and still would be a stick out if he was played regularly. Last season he got thrown in for European games and dropped for SPL games because the SPL was a step up from Europe and he wouldn't be able to perform in the SPL but could in Europe (Smith's logic anyway). If he was given a regular role he would still be one of the best players in the squad, and no he isn't a player who only plays in a 4-5-1 he can get forward, but has always been restricted by being played as a defensive midfielder, it was stated when he came that he was a midfield player not a defensive midfield player, he can be attacking too! Just never has been given that role at Rangers.
  15. Wouldn't pay over face value, the guy who is selling over face value deserves a kick in. Happened in Barca and my Dads mate had to be restrained from my Dad and his mate because he was going to fuck some Spanish guy who was touting a ticket over the head with a bottle, was amusing likes.
