Aye he came on after an hour or so and had a few decent touches but nothing special. Decent ability but can't see him being good enough for us.

I don't think he says too much wrong there - no-one still knows what happened.
I've nothing against him anymore, he's came back to us twice and proved himself (despite his critics)
I can't wish him all the best because I know he will be joining some scummy bastard Scottish team and be playing against us in all probability but if he leaves Scotland I'd wish him success next place he goes. His time's up here tho.

binsy08 reacted to Smile in Gerrard interview RTV sub required
    This is basically the interview.

Steven Gerrard has dropped a big hint that Connor Goldson could be the next Rangers captain after signing the defender from Brighton.
The new Rangers boss was thrilled to get the deal over the line and admits Goldson is someone who he views as a leader at the club.
Lee Wallace is the current club captain but his role in the team is in doubt following a disciplinary and Declan John's form at left back.
Gerrard revealed it was vital for him to strengthen the centre of defence ahead of pre-season and told Goldson and fellow new signing Nikola Katic they have to defend Rangers with their lives.

Speaking to RangersTV , he said: "We’ve assessed the squad from afar and now we’ve signed the contracts and become part of the club we’ve assessed them close up, the areas where we are strong, where we need to tweak and need to improve. It’s out there now that we’ve already got a decent start in terms of improving the goalkeeper, we’ve added Allan McGregor to that, he’s an ex-legend and knows the club inside out and is a positive signing.
"He’s up for it and can’t wait to get going. Scott Arfield was a no-brainer, on a free contract and Scott will help in a lot of ways both on and off the pitch he’s a fantastic player. And the other main area was the centre back area. Russell Martin went back, Bruno Alves is at the World Cup, Bates left on a free and that was an area where we needed players but players who fit the profile, who are hungry who want to come in and defend this badge with their life.
That was the message when we spoke to these players, it’s not about coming to Rangers and being a Rangers player it’s about coming and being a Rangers player and then defending the shirt with their life and both Katic and Goldson are right up for that challenge which excites me.
"They are different in terms of age and experience. Nikola is very inexperienced in terms of numbers of games but in terms of potential and profile he ticked every box and he’s really looking forward to coming out to Spain and getting going and getting his fitness.
"In terms of Connor, he’s ready to go. He’s had a frustrating couple of years in terms of being a back-up player at Brighton and he doesn’t see him as a back-up player and neither do I. I see him as a leader, a starter and someone who can come in and cajole the defence and take ownership of that and he’s just glad that it’s finally over the line and he’s a Rangers player, he’s as hungry as anyone to get going.
"I think with Ovie it’s important the crowd give him a bit of time to come up and adapt to the surroundings. He’ll be coming up alone without his family, he’ll be joining us in Spain and with time we’ll work him in with the right time and speed.
"In terms of talent, in getting fans on the edge of their seat, in terms of someone who has tonnes of ability and is waiting for people to admire. We feel he is ready to burst but he will have to be managed and put in at the right time but he’s one we’re confident can excite the fans here and that’s what the fans want here, they want exciting players to watch.
"The centre back area is one we had to move quickly on, try and get a head start on just because of the changes and the dynamics of but we’re looking to strengthen every area. Every area we feel like we can improve we’ll pounce and we’ll do it."

Gerrard will take his players to Spain for a pre-season trip and admits it is important that the players are together.
He felt the squad was disjointed last season and insists it can't happen again this year if they want to be a success.
He added: "The key to Spain is fitness and keeping everyone health and we give them the right level of training, the right volume and push the fitness levels but more importantly it is to live together and get the players used to the staff and the staff used to the players and we start this team bond and this camaraderie and we get the squad into a good place.
"Looking in from afar last year it looked a bit disjointed and we can’t have that here at a club this size. Everyone has to be singing off the same hymn sheet and we start building that from the first day in Spain."

But on topic, I don't equate supporting England at the World Cup to backing Britain in the same sense I don't see that midden, fenian fest of a Scottish national team having a monopoly on all things Scottish patriotism either (when arseholes try and say you aint Scottish support your country)
I honestly can't stand international football - including the World Cup. I'd disband it all tomorrow. I'm a Rangers fan not a general football fan.
I honestly think the last international game I sat and watched in full was the last World Cup final where Germany pumped Brazil 7 or 8 nil and that was only because I was in work and the boss was in and left the TV on in the background so watched it to pass the time.
However, all that said I won't be supporting England not because I hate the English national team - I don't - It just doesn't interest me at all.
But I won't be one of these Jocks sat at home wishing England to get fucked like a large percentage of this midden fest wee country of ours, Scotland.

The hatred is killing football in this country.... when Dundee United played in the UEFA cup final I wanted them to win.... I was only 10 mind you so clearly supremely naive, but irrespective, there seemed to be a lot less hate. As I have posted many times on here, the hatred in our game really ramped up with John Reid joining the scum.
Its been all downhill since. not just for Rangers but for the whole footballing nation.
If Scottish football could get over their hatred of all thing Rangers and ask questions of why we are performing so badly on a European scale then we might start seeing change. being back in the top 10 of revenue earners because Rangers are back in the top league may sound like good news but imagine how we would move up that top 10 if we actually had some smart businessmen running the FA in the interests of ALL member clubs instead of just the few (one). Investors must look at the hatred and division here and think "fuck spending money there"
But even with current levels of investment we need to see much more development of our game and many more youths coming through. We just spent 4 years working our way through the lower leagues spreading the cash all through the divisions, what have they done with the extra cash? Have we been the catalyst for a conveyor belt of talent coming through? Have we fuck, we kept the lights on for a wee while for the smaller clubs and fuck all changed, they went back to normal once we went up the leagues.
Rangers are in the weird situation of being the financial juggernaut that keeps the lights on in Scottish football and yet have almost no say in how it gets run

Really enjoyed this season with the  unders doing these trips - did Alkmaar, Mechelen and Benfica away and they were all great trips, performances and results - that’s just the ones I seen as they had other great results in other games too
Still a bit of an enigma beating Europe’s best then struggling against Scottish teams though - can’t get my head around it but I think some of these games have made men of a few of them and have a better chance of succeeding in the game overall even if maybe not with us

FFS nothing. I lost my Mother to alcohol addiction when she was aged 46 so I'm aware of it ... fact of the matter is Pena is an absolute cunt for doing what he did - he was walking in with his agent to sign for Cruz Azul and he blew his nose on the badge on our shorts, he wasn't under the influence then or he wouldn't have passed the medicial.
Some folk seem hell bent on trying to be good guys instead of just being honest. Get the fat, junkie Mexican bastard so far to fuck - he shown us or our club zero respect.
Maybe he's even been found out and is doing it so legally he can keep earning almost 30k per week. Poor cunt indeed.
