I have to agree that snubbing McInnes was wrong. Even if he did it at the last game ( he says he was just doing media interviews and was a bit late) then lowering yourself to that position does not help. He should have shown him how he would have expected to be treated

What they want and what they would get is not the same thing. Managers in that position have walked away in the past and let the clubs argue later

I really don't go in for abusing fellow bears and didn't think you were abusing anyone either All I am saying is we are all posting our opinions and the fact that other people have different doesn't make them wrong. I'm not saying you are wrong just that my opinion differs Only time will tell which of us is correct

The very fact that I don't expect money for players is exactly the reason I believe we needed someone like McInnes. He has spent virtually nothing on that team. With even the limited budget we could provide I think he was the better bet. As I said I hope I am completely wrong but don't see it

We just have to hope that those of you who think he just needs his own players are correct and those of us who think he is a complete dud are wrong. Otherwise it's going to be a very long season next year

I don't think mcinnes is in any way a worse option in an era where we are short of investment. He has built a decent if not great side on no money at all. Would have been a better man for the job under the circumstances I reckon

All of the above is just somebody's opinion. The fact that some are different from yours does not make them wrong

That's before we even get into the other side of the argument where he gives away our team formations, talks shite about how tough he is and tops it off by telling all the players that still may be needed in the last weeks of the season that he is ditching them. You seem to have forgotten why we were in that play off. 19 wins out of 36 in a league of pub teams. 24 points of the top in a lower division. And then to top it off humiliated by the second bottom team in the league we are now disgusted at finishing 3 rd in Worse by far

Believe it or not this is the 32nd time we have finished outside the top 2 and that is not counting our 4 Years before this one. If we had internet back then I could imagine this thread being very similar

Nowhere near our worst season. Before Souness we had years of finishing 3rd, 4th and even 5th and with less points (accounting for different systems) than this season And even those seasons were nothing compared to not getting out the fucking lower leagues at first time of asking

You only have to make those changes because you fuck it up in the first place though. He may be having to work with another managers players but he has arguably made them worse not better
