  1. Maximum points in my winter league game. Played great in a strong wind.
  2. Watched my mate ace the 4th at Machrihanish yesterday. He then birdied the 5th and I birdied the 6th. High standard. Greens are brilliant
  3. Next time we score the players should re create the Gazza v Scotland celebration. Especially at Hampdump
  4. Get yer self off to Dignitas and they will assist you.
  5. That sounds about right. Hope you enjoyed yourself. Next time your down get in touch and I will arrange to get you signed on for a £10.
  6. If yer staying in machrihanish then they have a pub called the old Clubhouse (Tom Morris used to sit in the bay window) and the machrihanish golf clubhouse too. The Dunes mini bus will drop you off at the course. Either Nick or Big Jock (good H**) will drive. They will pick you up too and will up to midnight shuttle you into town between the 2 hotels. So on Saturday night get into town and get bevvied. Black Sheep, Burnside, Commercial, Feathers then Whisky Macs.
  7. If yer staying the weekend then town is best. £15 a taxi back to machrihanish. 10 good pubs in the tiny wee toon we have so loads of choice. When are you lads down?
  8. True it's not as good as my home course but few are. It's a long track with long walks between green and tees. The undulating greens are fun but difficult and I'm told yesterday they are smooth and rolling well. You have to pay for a buggy driver as you can't drive them due to SSI. Spectacular views of Islay and Jura and Rathlin. Is it a freebie from a golf magazine as hardly anyone pays to play it. They give rounds away to fill the hotels.
  9. Back again. Joined Machrihanish and playing in the winter league. Half match today against a scratch player.
  10. Played the Torrance course at St Andrews couple weeks back and finished with a credible 82 (10 over) for my first attempt. £30 a round was great value. Knew I was gonna win when off the first I was in a bunker, scooped it out and bounced over a wee burn, duffed my chip onto the green and nailed a 45 footer for par ?
  11. I'm the current holder of the Dunaverty Winter League trophy. Smashed the rest of the field and I'm glad I won it at last. Can't see me winning much at Machrihanish though. Can't see me winning anything again tbh. Still practice an aw that!
