  1. The worst part for Hearts is that they signed him on a three year deal when he joined. 52 weeks x 3 = 156 weeks 156 x £8000 = £1,248,000! That doesn't include appearance fees, win bonuses and goal bonuses (not many of them ) I wonder why they are 50+ Million in debt
  2. He did a nice little back heel first time yesterday I know what you mean though, at the moment for Rangers he seems to take far too long on the ball before doing anything.
  3. Spot on Alan Gow is better IMO Honestly? The same Alan Gow who looked terrible in reserve games for us and hasn't been able to do enough at Preston to merit a game? Lafferty isn't playing well but he has at least shown for Northern Ireland what he is capable of. He also had a good run with us towards the end of last season. He is trying far too hard and is looking poor because of it, if he could just stop worrying about everything he would be a good player. He is a good finisher and when he is playing well he will show that, unfortunately he is so low of confidence at the moment that he is messing up the most basic of actions. Northern Ireland look far worse without Kyle Lafferty in the side, the same can't be said for Scotland with Alan Gow. There is a reason that the scouts at Celtic wanted him, it just hasn't worked out for him at Rangers so far. He has been unlucky with injuries and a lack of game time. I understand peoples frustrations with him but I honestly believe if he was allowed to play with natural wingers he would look a far better prospect for Rangers, much in the same way that Boyd appeared to come on leaps and bounds once we played wingers. Our current formation doesn't suit any strikers, the sooner our management realise that the better.
  4. Any decent links? I can't watch on bbc in work due to our IP showing as being in America. Cheers.
  5. I'm quite impressed with the Steven Smith over the last two games. He looked like he has some of his pace back and defended well today. Its good to see that we have players who can come in and do a job when our 1st team regulars are being rested. He is a good option to have in the squad and so long as he isn't looking for a large wage I would be happy to keep him as a backup for that position.
  6. That's an odd one. Did Kyle not play a prominant role in Jefferies decision to leave Killie? To an extent but it was due to the fact that Kyle had too much respect for him as a manager to let the chairman stab him in the back. Kyle would be a good signing for Hearts, they need a big man up front.
  7. Id like him to stay but we can't offer him the game time he craves. He impressed me on Saturday with his movement, pace and even his tackling. He has it in him to be a very good player but sadly he hasn't had much luck with injuries.
  8. I've always felt that he would be suited to a more central position, perhaps playing in an attacking midfield role. All of his good work yesterday was done when he cut inside and drove with the ball centrally because he glides past players with ease and he has the ability to score. His main problems are that when he gets the ball and there is no movement in front of him he panics and either looses the ball or plays a poor pass. He could be doing with keeping it a little more simple at times because his head can go down when he makes a mistake. He is a good player, however he is always going to be prone to the odd mistake and suffering from lack of confidence.
  9. I liked McCann as a player but I tend to think that people on this board over rate him. I can rememeber being very frustrated on a regular basis by his crossing being too high or not making it past the first man. He was brilliant on his day but for me McCann didn't turn it on often enough.
  10. Great post mate. He has done a really good job at Hibs but on the whole he doesn't know how to change a game and while he has made good signings this season he did have a decent transfer kitty/wage budget given to him to sign up the likes of Stokes, Miller and Smith. I think he will do a good job in the championship but tactically I don't think he would ever be anything other than average. Playing "attractive" football will only get you so far (unless you have the talent of Barcelona), sometimes you need to know how to play defensive football to get a result. Tony Mowbary is beginning to find that out, especially when you are managing a club where any loss is seen a massive failure. He does come across as a nice guy and because of that I wish him the best in wherever he ends up (Other than Celtic)
  11. He is a good player who I think will do well when he moves on from Hamilton. His main problem is that he doesn't have enough of an attacking threat and isn't the most defensive minded midfield player. What he does do well is keep the ball and bring other players into the game. I think he would get more goals if played in an attacking position but at the moment he is somewhere in between a defensive and attacking midfield player due to the formation that Accies play. He is still learning though and I believe there is much more to come from McArthur. I wouldn't take him at Rangers now because as a few others have said we have plenty of central midfield players. Someone else mentioned Cerny who is a cracking keeper who could do a job at a much higher level.
  12. I used to love pro evo but I've not really got into this years version. I feel that with Fifa you have a lot more control over your team and I love the ability to get a player to make a run by just pressing a button, where as in PES I feel that the players can be a little static. To be honest I'm quite bored of Fifa now, its just too easy once you get the hang of it.
  13. That is possibly the worst article I have ever read
  14. That is great to hear, lets hope that he makes it back in time for his world cup dream
  15. Every Scottish stadium with the exception of Annan Athletics stadium. I should really try and get there at some point. In England I've been to Goodison a fair few times (my uncle is a big Everton fan) I've been to Anfield and Tranmere Rovers stadium once.
  16. The home page looks amazing guys. Keep up the good work!
  17. Have bank charges not been scrapped? No, all banks still charge.
  18. How about we leave things as they are, it has worked pretty well for the site so far...
  19. Great blog! Keep up the good work
  20. Is the site doing anything for Haiti? I would rather donate via the site to help us reach our targets if its something we are doing.
  21. Big Lee originally a central mid-fielder,who was asked to play up front, when Motherwell were hit hard by injury. He actually revealed this in an interview on Rangers TV not so long ago. That is true mate, he has mentioned it a few times in interviews. Motherwell needed someone with an aerial threat to partner John Spencer (I think it was Spencer). I really hope we have DMB fit for this game so that we can have him and Whittaker on either wing and Davis played centrally. Davis at CM is more important than who plays up front for us imo because without him there we look a far worse side.
  22. Well done to everyone involved When are we doing the next fund-raising for Malawi?
  23. An extremely poor right back who should be nowhere near the squad and may find a club in the 2nd division next season. Agreed, I hate when he is suggested as an option for the right back problem. How he got another contract I will never know...
