Bit gutted it’s not set in the 80s again

Tav is never a winger for me, not in a million years. His overlapping runs and ability to come from deep to find pockets created by our wide players and midfield is what makes him effective. He would be completely ineffective playing further up the pitch with a LB and a midfielder constantly on him. He doesn’t have the quick feet or the overall speed required. Certainly not thesedays..

A lot is said about Aberdeen “raising their game” against us… but today was another example in what is a increasingly long list of us bottling it against them. The “occasion” just seems to get the better of our players… we should be treating them like the sheep shagging no marks that they are.

They’ve only beat them by 3 or more goals four times in the last 15 games… the exact same number of times that we have. In the same period Aberdeen have only managed to score 1 more goal against us than they have against celtic. Unpopular opinion but the real difference is that celtic treat them with no respect unlike some of our recent managers. We have been our own worst enemy against them. They are shite but we seem to make them look like world beaters time after time.

Not sure why people are expecting anything from Aberdeen. If they hadn’t beat us they would be bottom of the league… they are brutal.

Rockstar rely heavily on reiteration, they also use their own engine(RAGE) which is one of, if not the best engine out there for open world games like GTA and Red dead. The developers on both sides will have been in constant dialogue with each other throughout development ensuring it’s capable of handling their vision. From the leaks it was suggested they are building GTA6 around RAGE9 which is rumoured to be every bit as powerful as UE5… and in some ways even more powerful. I.e it can handle 16k textures whilst UE5 can only do 12k. The engine improvements from GTA5 to Red dead 2 were massive.. no reason to believe we won’t get a similar level of advancement again.

Probably, but there’s a possibility it might not even be as late as that. Spring 2024 could even be an outside shout. GTA5 and Red Dead didn’t have the smoothest run ups to launch for Rockstar… they got a lot of bad press regarding their crunch culture which led to numerous delays. Since then they’ve completely restructured their development cycles. The game has been in development for 9 years now… I suspect they’ve deliberately held off on announcing it until the game is almost done. So I’m not expecting a long launch window or any delays this time round. GTA is one of the few games that can release on any day of the year it wishes. It will smash records regardless. It will just come down to what financial year rockstar want the game to fall into(Runs Oct to Sept in the USA)

Love that. Just qualified for the final yet Clement is still straight on to the pitch to get stuck into Dessers. The guy is a born winner.

January is typically a shit time to sign players. You are either looking at the dregs or overpaying because teams don’t want to sell their best players during the season. I don’t see us making many permanent additions.. possibly afew loans to see us through until the summer.

To be fair to Hagi he has something like 40 goal contributions in 99 games for us. What other midfielder or winger has achieved that in recent years? It’s actually pretty good for someone who doesn’t tend to play 90 mins every game… nor is he in the team every week and when he is… it’s not always in the same position. He’s obviously got his limits… he’s not quick and sometimes he’s abit overly keen to make things happen, but he is a useful squad player. Plus at this point he’s most definitely a better option than Wright or Lammers.

It’s a learning curve… not for the players but for Clement. He will only learn who he can trust by playing them… from what I’ve been led to understand he is the kind of manager who believes in taking players with him/improving them… however once you let him down you’re out on your arse.

Having a dig at the fans is abit of a weird post. If the team turned out to be world beaters, would you and the other doom merchants be on here telling everyone how wrong they were? Everyone’s accepted Beale fucked it, no one is under any illusions. Hype gets the best of people. Football is supposed to be exciting so naturally people get carried away.. fuck all wrong that.

It’s worth every penny! Reckon I’ll pick up Wonder aswell.. watching the gameplay videos took me back to all those afternoons and evenings I spent playing Mario as a little kid.

Spider-Man 2 was phenomenal. I think that’s replaced Arkham City as my favourite super hero game…

I mean if you liked the story/lore of the second, then it’s definitely worth a play through for sure. The pacing is a lot different and it’s significantly less of a cowboy simulator… it’s just GTA, but in the Wild West.

Theyve added a 60fps mode and it’s running at 4k. With that it surprisingly holds up pretty well visually! Wether it’s worth 40 quid is another debate entirely though. I’d personally wait for a sale.

Only a few hours in. Much the same as before but just bigger and better… that’s not meant as a sligh as it’s exactly what I wanted it to be…. And all it needed to be. Don’t often buy games on day one but glad I did this time round!
