  1. according to his book, he moaned about something (Barry moaning? lol) and was told to walk about the stadium picking up rubbish all week as a lesson. thats the way it should be with the youngsters, remind them where they are in the pecking order and make sure they learn respect.
  2. pop down to the stadium on the day and you will get a ticket, generally see a few up for grabs around the shop/near the statue. Good luck.
  3. Woolworths had no definition as a business, sold a pile of tat and no-one was actually sure what exactly their role on the high street was. They did not play to any individual strengths or aim for a particular market. They could not compete with specialist retailers who sold things cheaper and/or with a greater range of stock. They were the high street equivalent of a guy who knew a lot about nothing and nothing about anything in particular. How you can compare a football club to a shop that sold crap and had no focussed target market is a bit far out - in fact up until now the only ones i have seen on the internet comparing Rangers to Woolies are tims - i know you are far from that OP, and im not making that accusation, but come on!
  4. Far too many good Rangers boozers have shut down in recent years - The Clachan and Wallace spring to mind. Hope something gets sorted with it soon, was never a regular in the Glassy, drank in it only a couple of times.
  5. So let's praise him for nine in a row and watching Laudrup and Gazza. Let's praise him for trying to live the dream with our cash. The good times were enjoyable, that's a fact. Now let's consider that up against the bad. No players bought for 18 months. Check Worst Rangers team ever. Check Almost in administration. Check Bank running our club. Check Media attacking Rangers daily without reply. Check Fans ignored on all issues by the club. Check Major assets sold of by Murray for personal gain. Check David Murray should never be allowed within Ibrox stadium ever again, the man has destroyed a sporting institution loved by many. When Rangers fans have to ask other Bears for money to pay for William McBeath's gravestone, whilst that fecker sips a bottle of red in a south of France vineyard, it tells you all you need to know. He has been a disaster and should hang his head in shame. Cracking points ! What about the other 'magic moonbeam moments' from the 'Captain of Industry'..... What about the casino? Uncheck Hotel? Uncheck Govan re-generation? Uncheck New stand Uncheck Shop a bear hotline Check But sadly some on here, cant still smell the coffee ! What fan wouldnt want Gazza, Laudrup et al, at the club, but if we had an inkling where he was taking us financially and the eventual outcome, then I'm sure we'd all have been horrified. Just remember that when our club is on the brink of administration, he, as another poster suggests is sitting in his Chateau, in France, supping champagne. Its incredible that anyone could even attempt to defend this coward and shister ! Casino - bid lost to Manchester. Hotel, regeneration and new stand - none can be accomplished while those flats are still standing, and the council gave in Oct 2008 permission to sell the land to the club in principle. Flats are due for demolition in early 2010 "supposedly", though no firm dates have been set previously. Thats what was holding it back. Just pointing out the facts about the regeneration thing, all of which can be checked on the GCC website. No proposals for the area can go ahead until the area is cleared and the council haven't given a proper deadline on the flats demolition yet. Casino - we can't even build a ticket office what chance we got of building that, no wonder we lost the tender Hotel/regeneration - Yes it's in the hands of the GCC atm, but seriously think the banks are gonna bankroll us for it now Its prime land to build on, right next to the M8 and close to the city centre. Done properly it could raise a lot of money for the club. If the proposal was sound enough, then they might fund it. I believe the development was at the heart of saving our bacon to be honest. Will the banks cough up, unsure. But its not exactly asking for £50 million to spend on players with dodgy knees is it?
  6. I was hoping someone would bring this up. You are right. We aren't going to know anything ever until events unfold at the time. Then it begs the question, will Rangers ever address it straight up or only after issues we are concerned about are to occur within hours? And, do they even have a responsibility to do so? Getting Rangers to address anything or defend the club in the spotlight of the media isn't something I would be holding my breath over. The club must make more of a statement than was issued on Saturday evening. On the park it is evident we are going through a turbulent time, I don't see that ending in the near future. But we need clarity and to know, as fans and shareholders, what exactly is going on at Ibrox, and now.
  7. Mountains out of molehills CR, none of the mhedia garbage would be being spouted today if Walter didnt say what he did, and it was hardly accurate. Now according to some of the rhags the club is going to the wall. Im sorry but this is all nonsense. Yes its going to be tough times but i wont let mhedia outlets who have lied to us for years tell us more crap which bares the usual tabloid sensationalist get out clauses of "allegedly", "it is understood" and "our sources".

  9. Im sure the fiver they cost would be better put into a collection box.
  10. Off the guys selling them on the street. I doubt they will be donating any proceeds to the Poppy appeal.
  11. Would that be this announcement? http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/He...1836931,00.html
  12. But if he loves the club like he says!!! then why not help us out the mess that he got us into!!!!!!!!!!! and yes the club has been on the market but even when a fee and deal has been agreed he says they are not in the interests of the club!!! well davie your not in the interests of our club! DONT COME BACK! I think half the problem is having him bail us out when we are in a bit of bother, as a club we should be able to stand on our own two rather than rely on him to pump money in when things get tough. That is his fault we are in that situation however.
  13. "Now lets face it murray has rub our club to its knees, refuses to sell!" Not defending SDM, but hasnt the club been on the market for a couple of years now? And if you want the value of the club, im sure that is reflected in the share value? "milks the club for every penney he has spent!" Would you not want a return on an investment you made? I would. Cant blame him for that, otherwise he wouldnt be as rich as he is.
  14. The value of shares in the club rose this week for the first time in a few months. http://www.plusmarketsgroup.com/chart.shtm...80/GBX/PLUS-exn
