  1. How the hell have you came to that conculsion That im looking to take credit for getting us back on our feet?? by buying a few tickets and kids tops. Jesus Christ come on. Ive suggested that we reward the Rangers board/Lloyds for showing ambition, by showing how it can increase revenue when they do get it right.
  2. Aye, cause its guys like me who got Rangers into debts of £50m+ at one point. take the blinkers off.
  3. A glory hunter who stopped going just before we won a title? I dont understand how that would work.
  4. Which European team, did we play in March Mr Uber fan? and what was our result against Celtic in March Mr Uber fan? You clearly read the first post and a couple of replies then decided to wade in with your size 10's. Ive never been a frequent visitor to Ibrox. They could sign messi - i's still be forced to watch most of the games from home. Read the full thread before you make stupid assumptions. For your benifit - ive already said variuos times. Im never often at Ibrox. I was prepared to go to the St Johnstone game, and spend a bit more money than i normally would - due to a recent spout of ambition for our ever failing board. My point was to show the club that when they show more ambition than they normally do, they might get more supporters parting with more cash making it win win for us all.
  5. Ibe never been a consistent face in the crowd at Ibrox every week, and for the next few seasons i doubt i ever will be. Its a luxury that for many reasons i cant afford. ( nothing to do with Rangers ) Im going to go the game vs St Johnstone and show the club that rewarding the fans with our first new faces in two years should be rewarded in return by spending more money while there. money id normally never be able to spend.
  6. As i also said i dont get much of an oppertunity to go to the games, but when the oppertunity does come i tend to go. As far the last part, you dont have a clue.
  7. That certainly was not the case. And i agree, it has the potential to be a massive day for the club. I didnt expect a massive backlash in all honesty, some have given some decent replies and added some decent debate, along with the others who think im a ''cunt'' and ''glory hunter'' Admin can feel free to lock or chop the thread.
  8. When we get pumped rotten by Unirea in the CL then we are a sleeping giant When we cant buy a player for two years we are a sleeping giant. When we cant give Ibrox a lick of paint and fix the big screens then we are a sleeping giant. I love Rangers, but sometimes its good to take off the blue tinted specs. Rangers should be a lot bigger than winning the SPL. I hope we can aspire to more than that again one day.
  9. Self impossed ban was maybe a bit strong But the original point remains, I felt the Rangers board have shown a fair bit of ambition over the last week or so. Im delighted by this. I think if everyone gave a little bit on top of what they normally do, the club was notice the size of support i somethimes think they forget we have. If Rangers spend £4m spent on Jelavic and then notice that merchandise and ticket sales have increased greatly then it would show Rangers and the bank how much of a financial muscle we are. We would hopefully not have to suffer another 2 year signing famine.
  10. No offence, but with Murray it was a bit more than not signing players.
  11. I was there in March, we hadnt signed anyone then had we? Ive said i was at a loss with the way Rangers were/are being run. Rangers spending money on players should be merited by the fans giving that little bit extra back to the club. I dont see the big fuss in that.
  12. I think you missed my point. Actually, I think everyone has. Maybe its the way ive worded it, im not sure. What im trying to say is that hard work from the club should be rewarded. For too long we were treated as customers and not fans.
  13. Possibly. Depends what you mean by ''follow'' I'll always follow Rangers. Might be infront of a tv for a lot of the season, but i'll always follow. I dont often get the chance to go to Ibrox. When the oppertunity comes i tend to take it. If Rangers make more of an effort with us, im more than happy to make more of an effort with them.
  14. That was the last time i was at Ibrox. I've felt pretty disjointed with David Murray's Rangers and decided a while ago i wouldnt be handing over my hard earned cash so easily. Over the last year or so, ive only been to two games, and ive not bought any merchandise. Ive been sick at the way the club has been run and felt we were taken for granted for far too long. Walter Smith has kept me sane Should Rangers conclude the signing of Weiss and Jelavic im going to buy x3 tickets for the Rangers St Johnstone game. I'll take both of my nephews, buy them both the new strip and let them select a name and number for the back of it. I'll possibly also get myself the new top and i'll deffo buy a new framed picture for the backroom. I know it wont be a drop in the ocean to the club, but if we all bought a little something next time we are at Ibrox, bought tickets for the next home game, bought a little thing off the website, or even pick up a copy of the Rangers news - It would show Murray and Lloyds that ambitious transfers and money spent on players will be recognised by the fans putting money back into the club. Rangers have a massive support, one of the biggest in Britain. We should never be taken for granted, but we should also reward the club when its time for them to be rewarded. Im not saying that the garden is all rosy again, but perhaps this is one of the first small steps. Well Done Rangers.
  15. im not, but then i never really am for OF games. Id take any kind of victory.
