  1. your probably right triple shooting drills until the falkirk game. I like wee zel but his shooting has been pretty woeful.
  2. it's true there are a lot of knee jerk and over the top reactions but to me that shows that folk are passionate about the club, most folk after a day or so calm down and post sensibly(well sensibly for rm lol).
  3. fook sake when you put it like that it looks even worse lol Obviously I am not an expert on these things but surely if the shots are within 25 yards and within the width of the box we should be looking at at least a 50% "success" rate?
  4. so basically out of 22 shots 6 hit the target, even taking out the 6 blocked shots thats still pretty grim.
  5. I think even he would have struggled with that one
  6. I see....it all makes sense now, this is were we have been going wrong
  7. this is what I have been saying to folk, we get plenty of shots off but less than half of them are on target. a few of the efforts recently have been cringeworthy and a couple were down right embarrassing considering they were taken by a pro footballer lol we really need to double down on our shooting drills in the next few weeks.
  8. I'm so glad someone else said it, we are screaming out for a big lump of a target man so we can play the long ball I think daly would be a good shout, probably wouldn't cost much on wages either
  9. you beat me too it lol I consider a player young until 24/25, although it does depend a lot on the player as they mature at different rates. Holt is definitely still a young player
  10. glad to hear it, will be great to put them in their place in front of a full house 3-0
  11. can't argue with any of that, the only problem is the lack of height in the team so any cross would have to be perfect.
  12. It can get a bit frustrating but I think that is more to with tactics rather than individual players. We seem to be set up for our two wide attackers to cut inside to allow our full backs to overlap. I have found myself screaming take him on and get to the byline more than once to be fair lol I also think we would really need to work on our crossing if we wanted our wide men to hit the by line as we would have no one over 5"10 in the box. That's probably the reason waldo always cuts his crosses back along the ground.
  13. well fortunately most folk (the gaffer included) disagree with you. Not endorsements simply alternatives to an "invisible" player. it's funny I had arguments at the start of the season about "invisible" holt, some folk just can't seem to see the work that certain players do during games. Glad to hear you would be happy to be proved wrong.
  14. hopefully a solid 3/4 nil victory to get us back on track
  15. I don't think so bud there is still a long way to go. Although I am confident we will win it.
  16. I couldn't disagree more, he has been a good out ball for us, he holds it up well for wallace to overlap and he links up well at times with holt and zelalem as he cuts inside, on top of all that he is still creating chances for others. If the gaffer believed he was having no impact rather than sub him every game he would start oduwa, walsh or even clark. He is arguably less direct than earlier in the season but more of that is down to teams parking the bus than how he is playing. You are going on about consistency but he is without a doubt one of our most consistent players which is obvious to anyone at this point. as a rangers fan I don't expect you to be miffed when he proves you wrong, I expect you to be delighted.
  17. warbs subs forward thinking players around the hour mark every game so as to keep our attacks fresh, he has praised mckay a couple of times this season so far and most would agree he has been one of our most consistent players this season. Football is all about opinions of course and clearly you have yours regarding mckay but I believe that this season and hopefully for years to come he will prove you wrong
  18. I agree that a minutes silence would have been more appropriate but the simple fact is they don't have the greatest of track record with observing silence's. Which is why I think that the applause was the right thing to do.
  19. not convinced about andy on the left wing but it might be worth a shout especially if it gets wee thompson more game time. We seem so imbalanced at times because of waggy/miller cutting inside I think if we had someone on the right similar to mckay it would give teams a harder time defending against us as it would let tav get on the overlap more like wallace without him having to worry about getting caught out as the wide man could cover him going forward. This would also have the benefit of halliday not having to cover the full backs as much so he can protect the centre backs during counter attacks.
