  1. Back on ful time T on forums now that my computer has been replaced.
  2. Thanks for the replies & status updates - good to see nothing has changed during my absence
  3. T Remember the story about the Prodigal Son....
  4. Well they did promise to "protect the brand" - time to fulfill that promise
  5. I do think any such initiative needs to come from the club itself bud, Murray's regime fell from a position of grace when they continually failed to defend the brand, despite many of us warning about the foolhardiness of such a strategy - who can ever forget his response _ *If a publication offfends, dont read it". Its up to them and no-one else & they will be judged according to their deeds (or lack thereof)
  6. Im not convinced Kel its about knowledge - more about pressure in the face of insurmountable evidence
  7. Doubt it, but I wouldnt be sending it in isolation - plenty of other evidence to solidify their hatred of everything our club & support stanf for.
  8. We really need to bud - it should be the start of a long term strategy to defend the club. Im talking about a task force not a PR company
  9. To b honest V I think the tweet screenshot at the beginning of the thread is far more valuable. We know that political statements are a big no no in UEFA's eyes & yet here we have the head of FARE, an agent for UEFA, glorifying such conduct.
  10. There is an absence of proof that UEFA singled out the UB's, furthermore, I have never alluded to that. What is clear that the club believe the offending chant started in BF 1, hence why I believe the subsequent retrospective action took place . The original point I was making is that the original UB statment & the comments of the SLO are contradictory. Perhaps if there wa a minute kept of the meeting that should provide some clarity.
  11. No bud it was my own synopsis of events.
  12. I think the decision to close a specific 3000 seat area was left to the club's dicretion. And they chose BF1 based on the comments I referred to earlier.
  13. I suspect this factor contained in the original comments CB, has very much nfluenced their thinking & decision making
  14. Interesting that these comments from the SLO are contradictory to the events alluded to in the UB's statement.
  15. Given the praise he received post game from SG, he may well have staked his claim for the shirt. I believe having a regular back 4 woul go some way to eradicating those defensive lapses.
  16. What an absolute inspartion you have been gb with this endeavour - my cap is truly doffed Always. Its been an absolute pleasure wayching your efforts and contributing to this fundraiser and seeing the joy on the faces of those who have benefitted from your sterling efforts. You, have like any true Ranger, upheld the sacred trust expected of that accolade. Well done Sir !!
  17. It doesnt really matter if the BBC listens to them or not, and from the information Club 1872 have provided it doesnt look as if they are. But there exists a complaints process that BBC have to take cognisance of - not dissimilar to those Bears who complained about the use of the Newco term to describe Rangers where the complaint ended up with the BBC Trust for arbitration and adjudication. The BBC Trust is no longer arbitrator in these matters therefore if club 1872 continue to escalate it, the matter will be referred to Ofcom for arbitration and adjudication. Furthermore I would suspect the action has been taken as a consequence of complaints from members - so that rather than acting as the Club's mouthpieces they are acting obo their members.
  18. Ineffective intervention ?? At least they are doing something to challenge the rancidness which exists at Pacfic Quay and keeping members and the widerfan base up to date with the scale & depth of the problem.
  19. I was meaning the wider national movements bud such as @stopbbcbias on Twitter
  20. Iys a good and clear update which demonstrates how utterly rancid Pacific Quay is. Rangers fans should be mobilisng to swell the ranks of those lobbying for an end to the BBC Licence monopoly.
  21. This is exemplerary of the problem - its not the media who are the problem but "obsessives" amongst the Rangers support. Despite the fact the national broadcaster saw fit to compile a montage of Morelos incidents and broadcast it outwith its sports section. Where our player is stereotyped due to his nation of origin and treated unfairly until he recieves less than balanced coverage in the media and subsequently less than balanced or fair review wheh subjected to retrospective discipline. But dont you worry this is all in us "obsessives" heads.
  22. You dont think there is a particular narrative being set ? Despite the evidence showing Broadfoot raking Fredo's achilles yet still Fredo draws the ire and pelters ? No surprise then that in such a climate appeals against red and yellow cards fail
  23. There was a considerable blip in the anti-Alfredo Morelos narrative currently being driven by sections of the media in Scotland. Sadly, the predictable one-way traffic was not brought to a sudden halt by an ex Rangers player speaking out, no, Barry Ferguson and Lee McCulloch were too busy acquiescing and adding to that negative narrative with criticism of their own. In a week which showed Kirk Broadfoot raking his studs down Alfredo’s Achilles heel, you might have thought the onslaught would abate for a few days – but alas, this is Scotland we are talking about. Instead it was left to Chris Jack of the Evening Times to write an article, https://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/17510914.how-alfredo-morelos-has-gone-from-medellin-to-Rangers-multi-million-pound-man/ not only defending Alfredo, but in addition, humanising this young man so many have sought to dehumanise with comments such as “buffalo brains “and relating his upbringing to something from the Narcos Netflix series. Jack highlights a young man brought up in extreme poverty, who has never forgotten his roots, who remains respectful to his parents and the country of his birth, and for whom the lessons learned from such a harsh upbringing remain a driver towards success. Perhaps in any other country such a young man would be seen as a positive role model rather than the devil incarnate. But the comments of Ferguson and McCulloch really rankle – their adding to the anti-Morelos narrative serve to give it a sense of normality, when in fact it is anything but normal – it is in fact, abnormal. And no amount of ex Rangers players selling themselves to the highest bidder should allow us to lose sight of this fact. It has been a concerted campaign to demonise our prize asset and the likes of Ferguson and McCulloch, with their strong Rangers antecedents, adding their weight to the millstone being placed round Alfredo’s neck serve to give this concerted campaign a sense of credibility. Ferguson and McCulloch are by no means the worst, Kris Boyd demonstrating his ability to adapt to the anti-Rangers agenda with considerable aplomb following a series of articles and comments criticising his former club. His lack of consistency in his arguments demonstrate Boyd realises which side of the bread requires to be buttered to ensure a favourable return. You make your bed and you lie in it. I hope we as fans and in particular RSC’s will remember those who have served the dirty pieces of silver some sections of the media will pay in order to provide a sense of balance and credibility to that which is unbalanced and lacks credibility. Hopefully the club itself will add some solidarity when the same individuals go begging for tickets. “To be a Ranger is to sense the sacred trust of upholding all that such a name means in this shrine of football. They must be true in their conception of what the Ibrox tradition seeks from them. No true Ranger has ever failed in the tradition set him.
  24. I would. Any reasonable person, capable of a modicum of discernment, would realise our club is being held to and subjected to an unlevel playing field and would be moved to defend her.
  25. Calling out Matt Lindsay on twitter on his ridiculous article that the sheep support ar "untainted by bile"
