This. The offside actually does us a favour in highlighting the shambles.
 
If it hadn’t been thrown into the mix we would still be complaining about it but it is fairly easy to sweep it away as “well the VAR didn’t think it was a penalty” and it would just be another one of those incidents that would be banded into the some go for you & some go against you argument by supporters and in the press.  Not saying I think that is right, just what would have happened.
 
By seemingly throwing in the offside at a latter point they have made a massive mistake and allowed scrutiny of the decision on a point of fact not opinion, either the offside was looked at during the review or it wasn’t (in my opinion it wasn’t even just based on the length of time an offside call typically takes).

I suspect if we ever get an account of what happened it will be along the lines of;
- Collum made a snap judgement on the call (whether that was made deliberately or incompetently only he will probably ever know)
- either someone in the VAR or referring team has subsequently called it out as being the wrong decision
- they have then panicked and rushed out the offside as the justification hoping to clear the whole thing up not taking the time to think through the ramifications that trying to cover up the initial flawed decision actually makes the whole situation more serious
 
Unless they can provide evidence that clearly shows the offside was a material factor in the decision making process the issue is we basically have a VAR / refereeing team pushing out a lie to cover up what (I suspect) they have identified as a mistake.

How did it take Sheepie 90 minutes to finally start trying to do something more than stifle Rangers? Not a single shot on target due to their negative game killing pish that saw them try to replicate the big punt through the middle that caught us out the last time. If I was a bleater I would be raging at Robson's tactics that negated their chances of actually winning the trophy. 
But hey ho, we won, were the better team and thoroughly deserved our victory and Sheepie got exactly what they deserved, a long miserable journey home in the pishing rain with the sight and sound of the Bears having a party in the background. Hopefully not the only Teddy Bears picnic this season.

I think he gave a free kick in their favour for every single 50/50 until about the 93 minute when it didn't matter anymore in terms of the result 
We really should be calling out his performance today as we won the game but not a chance of that happening.

As much as I love to revel in their pain, it’s incredibly Taigy to make it about them after we have just won a European tie. Couldn’t give a fuck about their record right now. 

Not condoning Goodwillie or shedding a year for him either but...... as others have said, this isn't new news - the criminal case was dropped in 2011, and the civil case was concluded in 2016. It hasn't been a secret or cover up that has suddenly been revealed, Goodwillie has been playing football for over a decade with all this having been public knowledge, and nothing new has emerged in this case since this was settled in 2016.
Obviously..... We all know it has everything to do with who has objected, but the whole thing is sheer hypocrisy. i.e. We only do the right thing when a prominent Scottish Government supporter pipes up about it.
Sadly the timescales that have passed with inaction now make the whole thing seem like a witch hunt and imo devalues the severity of it. The time for these actions were in 2016 on conclusion of the civil case - not 6yrs and 200 games later.
