  1. Delighted to announce a new Rangers book for Christmas which will benefit the Rangers Charity Foundation and Alzheimer’s Scotland charities. ‘All About the Rangers’ is something just a little bit different. It’s a landscape style book telling the story of the first 90 years of the club through a series of comic strips that appeared in the Scottish Daily Express in 1960. If you would like to purchase a copy, please leave a comment below or drop me a DM and I will send the payment details, which can be either PayPal or Bank Transfer The book is priced at just £7.99 plus postage - making it an ideal stocking filler any Rangers minded friend or family member. Every single penny of profit will be split evenly between Alzheimer’s Scotland and the Rangers Charity Foundation. We’re hoping to make a few quid for the charities, and if the book is a success then we might just look at doing a part two and bringing the story up to date.
  2. Link below to an article from today's Evening Times and Glasgow Herald about my forthcoming website, The Rangers Archives. The website will contain data and pictures of every player and every match, starting of with every competitive game since 1960. You will be able to read the match reports for every game, view the programme, details of Rangers and opposition team line ups and much more. In time the Archives will also include a digital library of every Rangers News (1971 - 2011), Rangers Monthlies and Publications, andthe chance to read through Home Match Programmes. I think there will be something to enjoy for every Rangers supporters who is interested in our history. Quote from the article "The page in question is the Rangers Archives. For any supporter that uses social media, it is unmissable, one that, alongside his Facebook page, is high on the essential follow list for those with an interest in or passion for the club. It started out with just 30 members on Facebook. Millar now has 67,000 followers on that particular platform, a further 27,000 on Twitter and 10,000 that subscribe to his YouTube channel as he documents the greatest names and most famous games in Rangers' illustrious history."
  3. Hi I have A3 prints of the these 3 iconic Rangers posters from the early 1970’s, copies are taken from originals. Priced at just £5 each plus postage & packaging (sent in cardboard tube), these make a great Xmas present for your Rangers loving family member or friend. Please message me direct or leave a message here and I will come back to you.
  4. Hi, I run the Rangers Archives on Facebook, and I can remember watching the highlights as Marinello was the next big thing at the time and scored twice that day, but I think the footage must be lost or destroyed. now. Sadly very little footage from the 60's and early seventies seems to have survived.
  5. I can make up a DVD of iconic Rangers matches, don't know if they have a DVD player?
  6. I also have a large pile of Follow Follow and Number One fanzines, would they be interested in them?
  7. not at problem to send two to Erskine, just let me know the details of where to send them.
  8. not sure what your motive is for the question, but no, it has nothing to do with the Louden.
  9. Supporters of a certain vintage like myself will remember having this on their bedroom wall back in the early 70’s. The originals are very hard to come by in good condition nowadays, so I decided to have A3 prints made and digitally enhanced by a printing company from my original poster. They have proved very popular on my facebook group, and I am about to order a new batch, I was wondering if there would be any interest here from fans looking to obtain a copy. If you are interested please comment below or inbox me and I will come back to you with the details this evening (after work!)
  10. they are on my Facebook group, The Rangers Archives, I will stick them on You Tube in next day or so
  11. understand what you are saying, but I limited each goal to roughly 15 secs, adding another 10 per clip for celebrations would take it to almost 20 mins which I think is too long.
  12. The match was only covered by Drybroughs own film crew, hence the crappy angle for Coops goal. The 3-2 match in Sept 1977 was not covered by TV as there was a dispute between the TV companies and Scottish Clubs about the size of the advertising letters on the front of the jerseys (Hibs using Bukta was 2 inches too big) so we never got to see what was probably Rangers best ever comeback against celtic.
  13. Footage is available of all the goals in the game.
  14. Rangers released the first season review video at the end of 1986-87 titled "That Championship Season" I am putting together videos for each season from 1980 onwards where there was no official release, so 1980-81, 81-82, 82-83, 84-85, 85-85, 87-88 and 97-98. The first of these, from 1985-86, is available here It contains not only all the televised match footage from that year, but also TV News report from the AGM, Marlborough taking over, Jock Wallace departure and the unveiling of Souness. Hope you enjoy, even though the season was not great!!
  15. i would suggest a wank is someone who, despite never having heard of a person, sees fit to tar them with the same brush as others.
  16. i had 90 requests to join, takes a little time to get through them, hope you find it was worth the wait, and glad to have you on board
  17. Would just like to invite any Rangers supporters who are on Facebook to join my group, The Rangers Archives. On this we show videos of archive matches, many of which are exclusive to the group, post historical articles as well as a fantastic archive of pictures. Currently there are over 57,300 members, and everyone is vetted to ensure supporters of other clubs are not able to join. As an example, today there have been videos showing a) The 2009 Loving Cup ceremony, b) Jean-Claude D’archeville’s goals for Rangers, c) Compilation of long range specials v celtic, d) Mo Edu’s last minute strike in Lisbon in 2011 and e) a historical article of Rangers v Rapid Vienna played on this date in 1964. Here is the link to join The Rangers Archives Look forward to seeing you there SM.
