What we are facing is quite simple, we fired a shot across their bow. They replied with a penalty against us. The implication is clear - be quiet, know your place.

My uncle was at the game, but luckily left with no idea what had happened, and went on the piss somewhere. He eventually walked back home to Newarthill where my gran was sitting at the door in tears, and basicaly set about him in frustration/relief  
There must be thousands of stories like that.
