  1. Can't find fault with your reasoning, as it is ...... well faultless mate, another good post. Experience is the new black ...... or is it orange? ....... in our case both are OK.
  2. No matter their actual size in feet and inches, it was their stature on the park that counted, and in most of the cases mentioned above (and the hosts that were not) when on their game, they were all 10 feet high, or taller .......... like in Barcelona.
  3. Always the pragmatist OB, you would fit in well with W&W mate, as you can go straight to the reasons for the latest players to be released, the raw football reasons, the ones that basically make the decisions for the management, the betterment of the team, good post bud.
  4. Cheers mate. When I think of the old shed I get shivers, as the memories flood back of all the great games I watched from that area of Ibrox. The shivers are not from the cold, as we were so tightly packed you never felt it too much, being young also helped, but it was the singing in unison that gave such a great atmosphere to the stadium back then, plus the ability to sing what you liked, rather than what you are "allowed" at today's Ibrox. The changing face of Ibrox in this wee clip is also a cause for shivers today, and they are the same as when I first went to see The Famous Glasgow Rangers, the feeling of pride at being part of this wonderful experience that can only be appreciated by our own people, the heart and soul of the Club we all love, as we all have been a part of the progressive change to the face of Ibrox. The stadium may change over the decades, but the supporters, the true face of The Rangers, In my memories has never changed, and as long as they stay the same, loyal and true, we will witness new days of glory when we return to the top, our rightful position.
  5. Good luck Zal. Hope you get help and fare better elsewhere.
  6. As Al Pacino's character from Carlito's Way would have put it ........ "Here come da pain".
  7. He Is going to be top class this lad, he cantered through the game and will do the damage against any team in this league, thanks to W&W for bringing him up here.
  8. Well said RK, and I think he has a point there, one of these teams is in for a right doing when the team eventually gets into top gear, maybe not double figures, but a doing all the same. As above, I will settle for good "disrespectful" football, and as long as we are winning ....... not too much to ask I think.
  9. And as shame is rightly attached to anything they have done historically, since landing on our shores, I can only wish them more shame when they get pumped out of the EL early. Ireland's shame ....... Scotland's burden.
  10. Posting naked photos of a family member (especially an ugly one) in a public forum is just not on Andy. This I suspect, is really why you have now been banned, as nobody was interested in your bheastly comments.
  11. Cheers Jim, as soon as you posted the game came reeling back. I was dead against him after that game, but he repaid my "disloyalty" many, many times over after he started to get it right ...... and how! What a keeper.
  12. The teams you mention don't seem to be bothered playing a similar system to ours so why should we (with the upgrade in talent installed) be frightened to play our winning formula against them?
  13. I was one of them, and it was due to him letting in two shockers in the CL (forget just who, at this time), but it was a game wee SM played a blinder and scored two goals in. A lot thought like that that night, and didn't give him much of a chance of being a Ranger for long. Look how that turned out, so Big Wes is as you say ........ "In good company" ....... he'll be just fine.
  14. I have no problem with his behaviour and his attitude, and like you I respect his honesty and his telling it like it was, and not allowing people like English to distort his stay with us with fairy stories. He just wasn't anything to write home about as far as playing for us goes, but credit to him for putting the truth out there in the other case.
  15. I love your sense of humour BBB, I had forgotten all about the blessing in disguise that was St. Jon, and thank him for his miraculous conversion deeds amongst our support, such a pity he didn't do it on the park goal wise. I wish him well in his new parish and hope he converts a few at Raith Rovers, but loses his shooting boots when up against us.
  16. All joking aside, but if I recall correctly, he only really played well when he played against us, so forgive me if I don't get all gushy about him, as he never did anything of great notice when with us.
  17. Man, It just gets better and better with these press conferences, no excuses, no palaver, just straight down the line as far as he is concerned. Even that bunch of deadwood interviewing him, if asked to be honest (I know, I'm stretching it ), would love to listen to MW all day long. It's great to be confident about our team again, and great to eventually have someone at the pit face who is a proper leader.
  18. Great news that another young talented player is more that impressed with our set-up and our manager and his faith in youth (If good enough) policy. Also the comparison between the scum and us in that we played it low key, allowing the lad to join seamlessly, shows respect to him and the other players, class from W&W. His class will show on the park where it counts. Well done Mr. Warburton.
  19. Yeah MW has shown that he will only have players of a certain standard in and around the Club, and Darren just doesn't measure up to that standard. I do however have every confidence he will be picked up soon by another club, and thank him for his time with us ,as he was an honest trier, and I wish him all the best ......... except against us.
  20. Agreed mate, whoever is behind the PR strategy deserves a lot of credit, as this type of interaction with the fans can only mean that somebody has had the intelligence to realise that a wee bit of recognition (via this medium) from the players to the fans does wonders for the positivity around the team. I think the PR team have also been coached to give and produce the correct amount of togetherness and respect for team and fans and vice versa, and the desired result is to give out the strong signal that we are all working for the benefit of the Club, and are all singing from the same hymn sheet. Not before time and well appreciated.
  21. The point being that Warburton is definitely not gay, but he is definitely Magic, and this is probably the only honest statement you will ever see or hear of at any wrestling match. The truth is out there ........ the truth is Warburton.
  22. He has improved since W&W have taken over, and he will be good back up in the midfield, where we mostly base our play around, and I think that will be his role for us under the new rotation system that has been introduced, and we will also have Zelalem and Eustace to accommodate along with Halliday and Holt. The one who may be sacrificed could be Shiels.
  23. After the 2-6 hammering we handed out to them in the Petrofac, it was pretty much a certainty that they would sit in and overcrowd the mid field stifling any creative play from that area. If some of the long balls had been more accurate (as the have been and can be), we may have seen more clear scoring opportunities, but they sat in hoping to catch us on the break, and had they had someone with their shooting boots on they may have turned us. We have played ugly (SPL) and won before, on this occasion we didn't play ugly, just that we were under par compared to how we have played so far, so getting the win (with a bit of genius from Tav, and being a wee bit lucky) saved the day. We will have to concede that teams will now, for the first time since Division 3, fear us, and therefore try to frustrate our playing style. We have to be up to this and I am confident that W&W will have the tactical knowledge to get us round this type of play in the coming season. Not the best performance granted, but hopefully we don't have too many like Sunday's, especially with the less challenging (for the league) teams, but if we do, I still feel confident we will pull off the desired result.
