  1. I stand corrected then sir, but I must admit that when I heard both of them, obviously it rankled me pretty sorely, and RG's, to this day still does I'm afraid.
  2. I'm sure when Walter said, "Good luck to the new Rangers" it was when he left the chairmanship, and it was in relation to the newco being a PLC, and him not being suited to that kind of set-up. I'm also sure that if Gough had been misquoted, he would have stated this and not caused the uproar that it did. He has never come out and tried to explain or apologise for his words, they were his words, so he was not misquoted.
  3. This looks to be the more realistic set-up right enough, as it is an easy transition and should be profitable.
  4. Agree to a point mate, but the past does play a part in how we assess a person's right to be heard as an authority figure, due to past naivety he fails the test.
  5. We shouldn't, because he is right out of touch with a lot of goings on at the club, and is being manipulated, and has been naive in his outbursts in the past to great annoyance to great numbers of fans. There will be other reasons not to take him at face value, that will no doubt cause us more annoyance in the near future, and he along with others should be treated with great caution, if not suspicion.
  6. Ha!Ha!Ha!..........that must have been murder .........probably should have persuaded him to riverdance instead.
  7. Wonder if they will be going round the RSC's and spreading the word of David, and regaling everyone with stories of miracles they have witnessed and wonders they have seen, and, if they will only follow in the steps of David, the doors of the kingdom of Ibrox will be opened, and season tickets will be readily available to all who follow the gospel according to David. Or will they just be happy with a wee backhander (£700) for appearance money?
  8. Are you Jon Daly? 'cause if you are, it was no dream.
  9. I'm so glad I read the data twice. I take it we are ok then? Well done VB's, the only group with 100% ratio when dealing in facts.
  10. Ally reckoned the guy who suggested this approach would be better concentrating on being an electrician and letting him concentrate on the running of the football team. He's really shown us how to run a football team, hasn't he?
  11. Congratulations DD to both of you mate, before you know it they're up and running, so won't be long before you're back as a family. The future of the club is one more cub further on.
  12. I checked again, It must be the slack manner in the tie area, small point but needs a word right enough. Don't want to batter the point, but, It's the training ground again.
  13. If you mean the hands in the pocket stuff, Smith, Jig and Shiels are all guilty, I think it's a posture thing they have been taught at training, possibly from Durrant.
  14. Thanks for that mate, great send off for our hero.
  15. To get the best effect in pronouncing Ng, it is best to imagine the sound one makes when forcing out a reluctant torpedo, it helps if you scrunch up your face and clamp your teeth down. Disclaimer; This works when one puts effort into it, and it also helps one to forget the original OP, but no warranty can be given if a person shits himself.
  16. Really cool mate, bit of class there.
  17. Half of them should have been docked 50% wages for not turning up at some of the games.
  18. Wonderful memory, and didn't we do a lovely huddle, the football on display that day was first class, what a way to win a title, and no better/worse place than at the tottie field.
  19. Makes you think that getting players from the lower divisions should have been the prudent choice, but no, we go the opposite way and allow the manager to take his pick, and end up paying over the odds for overweight, overrated, and ultimately, overpaid, underachievers. Whoever let this happen must have been a shrewd operator, and must by all means be rewarded for his negotiating skills, I don't think.
  20. RFC52 and Mr. Brightside: Those two posts must be the most uplifting posts on RM for a very long time, and in the same thread as well. Two brilliant posts that bring the supporter into focus, and put the rest in the shadow, well done lads, you are the soul of our club, and are what makes us the special club we are.
  21. Was watching it on the TV, it was nerve racking, when Nacho scored i was over the moon, could hardly sleep it was mental. All that night I could hear happy bears coming home from the various places they had watched the game from, it was like being on holiday, what a feeling.
  22. I would put it to them, the more shares you have the less questions asked, as by buying shares, you have declared your intentions to seriously be willing to partake fully in Rangers, and not just be mouthing off and threatening to be involved, like noisy children. Well done again VB's.
