Firstly let me say that I’m happy with the progress and changes under Clement. He has completely changed our mind set and motivation going into most games. We do however seem to have some mental block or lack of conviction every time we play the sheep. Given the circumstances yesterday we should have come out the blocks full of determination and confidence, in top gear. Instead we started the game in second gear. From the start they seemed to want it more than us……we did improve as the game went on, but we were 1 down and forced to chase it more. They had more attacks in the first 3 mins of the game than they had in 90 mins at the piggery…… and that set the tone for most of the first half. Some of our attacking play was at walking pace, and our passing weak. I’m not implying criticism of Clement at all…it’s the players who let us down. I see it as a disappointment to be honest, and the sheep will probably get pumped in their next game. We lost an opportunity to close the deficit, and we cannot keep throwing these chances away.

Take your point and tbh I kinda agree, but a) The board put the Football Dept in place , and gave them the responsibility, & b) The strategy of overspending to stop 10 was short sighted, without having a plan in place to maintain our position of strength.

From a position of strength after 55 the board have left us bereft of any quality whatsoever. Is Beale the answers…? Honestly I do not know. Totally pissed off.

I don’t know what that means …sorry , If we play well and win then there is no need for criticism or comments. I do post when I’m angry or frustrated with our performance ( like tonight ) …because these types of performances may well cost us the league. Every point counts, every performance is important. Tonight we have given our rivals a 2 point gain without kicking a ball. For me that’s worthy of comment and criticism. Cheers

Agreed, but the team intensity was missing especially second half, ( and actually not great in first half either) This was a kind of cup final for us and we failed the test. looking further ahead we’ve not improved the starting 11 during 2 windows (;so far ) ….our closest rivals have ….

Don’t know where all the faux confidence in this forum comes from. We didn’t improve the starting 11 during the summer and we’ve made the same error in the January transfer window. A draw against these cunts is an embarrassment.. I saw this coming a mile away.. meanwhile our biggest competitors have strengthened and come out like Tasmanian devils and we fuck about like last years team. Can’t say I disagree with any of that. Perhaps we should have sold to read invest in team. I’m not using hindsight here, but you always seek to improve from a position of strength…not when you are struggling.I still believe that at this moment in time, based on not only yesterday’s performance, but the season so far, we are in decline. Whatever the team achieved last season it’s now gone, and the evidence suggests that it is struggling to reach the heights of last season. Now everyone will be aware that we will need to sell to generate funds, and I fear the days of a £12ml+ bid for Morelos is gone.

This team will not win the league. We need significant changes in January ( assuming we are still in the hunt ) . yesterday was beyond embarrassing. The lack of real investment during the summer has screwed this season completely. Gio has a major rebuild on his hands, and if the board claim the ‘no money’ tactic, then perhaps it’s time for them to move over and get fresh investment from somewhere else. At this rate we are going backwards.

Gutless bastards. If Gio wasn’t sure of the quality of the players before this game, he sure as fuck does now. Unless we make serious changes to squad we will not win the league.
