Nonsense. I think Gerrard left because he knew this was in the post and he was not confident he could turn it around. Whoever picked the team compounded it by starting guys that have been jaded for so long. Both fullbacks and morelos for starters.

I get that the club need to make money, but charging fans to see the first official interview on RTV is a bit of a dick move. 
Fair enough for all the others but the very first one....Pfft.

Wish Gerrard all the best, he won 55 and for that he will always be a legend. Reading some of the comments on here is mental. Some of the folk saying he is a snake etc were complaining that he doesn't know how to change tactics in games etc and would be the first wanting him sacked if we lost a couple of games.
I am sad to see him go but in all honesty I think a new manager will freshen things up a bit. I just hope we go with someone who is proven.

We went unbeaten last season. The only time we’ve done it in any of our lives. Gerrard absolutely had some disasters and was verging on leaving pre-Covid. But the market we are operating it, all managers will have their flaws and have disasters. That’s the reality. What is also reality is that Gerrard transformed the club from a laughing stock that lost 4-0 & 5-0 to them within a fortnight to one that became Champions. 

This does my box in. We’ve spent £40m on players in the last 3 years without selling a player of note, have the highest wage bill in the country, are Champions & are top of the league. It has been mismanaged to the point we are all in on this league title. If we win it, things are great. If we don’t we’ll be set back 3-5 years. 
What exactly do we need ‘MASSIVE’ for? What we need is for the the club and a manager to use our resources properly. It’s insane they didn’t sell anyone in the summer to then recycle the funds into the squad.

55 was the most important title in our history, before this one. I’ll be forever grateful and it’ll never take away from the memories of lifting that trophy but to leave in November like this is unacceptable to say the least.

Season has looked precarious since the summer the way we’ve been playing - now we’ve lost the manager and staff that have spent 4 years implementing the system the players are stuck on.
This has all the ingredients for disaster. I dread to think of how things look for us at Christmas.

The bigger picture is the most worrying. Unless there is a huge turnaround in performance- which doesn’t look likely- celtic will win this league and the Champions league cash that goes with it.
We will have to replace Macgregor, Goldson, Barasic, Davis, Morelos and probably Kamara as well as others and on current form we are not getting much in the way of transfer money coming in from that lot.

Hope I'm wrong but fuck me this lot need to find a backbone. 

They are growing into the game and starting to create chances. They only need one, heads will go down and we will be in trouble.

We've held off on spending money until we qualify for UCL which is something that mob have done for years. It's a flawed system as last night showed and unacceptable.
It takes time for players to settle and Sakala and Lundstrum aren't to blame for us going out last night. That's on our established players and our full defence plus Kent should hang their heads in shame.
