  1. Supposedly the average attendance increased by 300 for the first weekend of the season compared to last season. Not sure if this is just SPL or the whole of Scotland.
  2. Ah the usual sniff sniff pish again. For the record I have been to more Rangers away games than most of the folk on here have been to Ibrox. I have also had a season ticket for more years than the majority. I am a bear, but not a bigoted clown with the horrible Tory attitude that most on here have. I have my own opinions and I will express them if I want. A Rangers fan should not be called a taig because he does not agree with the views of the majority.
  3. I would be fuming if we never done the same thing to the bheggars. McCoist was right when he said in 1994: "That's their problem although I cannot say i'm not enjoying what is happening to them at the moment." I want guys inside Ibrox who have this mindset, I 100% do not want any favours from Liewell.
  4. I think we have 2 main options as I have mentioned several times on here and have been given the 'ur a taig' chat most of the times. 1. Ask for a transfer of our membership and bring our history with us along with sanctions. 2. Apply for a new membership and lose history (officially), but have no sanctions. I know a new member needs 3 years of accounts but the oldco dont have 3 years either so I dont think it would be a major problem. Option 2 for me tbh.
  5. Is this not the reason we are in bother? We always seem to want someone with loads of cash to run the club and shove £££s in to it. Give me a board who will have the club running on its own revenue streams any day of the week before a rich guy who will get bored/lose his cash and drop us like a hot coal. As a support we need to learn from past mistakes!!
  6. This is not the way a bear should be talking. Have a bit more class than them please.
  7. I have been told (not a great source tbh, altho gotme thinking)that we have 2 offers in terms of getting an SFA license. 1. Start as a new club with a slightly altered name (The Rangers FC) and gain the SFA license as such. This means that our history has been stopped and the new clubs trophies start at zero. Our previous trophies are left with Rangers FC and we start again from scratch. 2. We keep our existing SFA license as Rangers FC, keep the badge, name and history. However we are liable for all sanctions (£100k fine, transfer embargo, £3m to be paid for footballing debts) and crucially accept responsibility for all deeds done in our name by Murray and Whyte, possibly including dual contracts and anything that is yet to be uncovered. If this was the choice gthen what would you rather? I'd rather option 1 tbh, as i've said before that our past achievements are in our hearts and cant be taken away, but its more important to move forward now!
  8. I just hope fans will be there for the duration of the journey. I have a horrible feeling that some might see it as a big sign of defiance until October/November and then drop off as it goes to Winter. This is why banking Season Ticket money is so important.
  9. Having a think there and wondering what our income/expenditure will be next season?? Few questions for guys in the know: 1. How much does Ibrox cost to police, upkeep etc per annum? 2. How much for the training ground? 3. Costs of non-playing staff? 4. Other operating costs? 5. How much will we get from season tickets next year? 6. How much will we get for advertising? 7. Other monies? I guess what is left will be used for player wages? Will this be enough to keep any of our senior players? Will we have to go part time (can't see it)? Just a bit curious as to the figures.
  10. Come on, is this another 'your a tim' because I dont go along with the party line? Been a season ticket holder for longer than most in here (although haven't renewed this year). In my opinion the club and business cannot be separated either legally (I know a fair bit about it) or in my heart. I still have all the memories of 9iar, Manchester etc, however its a new start away from the lying and deceit that we have been subject to from various individuals. We have released the sequel to a new book rather than turning a new page - that iis my thoughts! Those who say otherwise are probably the same folk who marched on the BBC when they warned us of the truth about that bastard Whyte.
  11. The embargo should be lifted. We are a new club and as such we have applied to and been accepted to play in SFL3, we should therefore start everything from scratch from this day on!
  12. Agreed with opening post. What happens if/when these clubs fail? Who do we play against? Our coefficient drops further, players reluctant to join/stay with us and as a result it will go down hill further. It was only after a major challenge from Hearts, DUFC and the sheep that we got our finger out in the 80s and went on our most successful spell in history. Lets have a strong SPL, we'll still win it!
  13. He is never good enough to get a bigger club (albeit he is a good player).
  14. Think you need to see it from his point of view. What would happen if no one came in for him then?
  15. Thats what a lot of bears I know think as well. Including me to be honest. Folk need to stop the ostrich impressions. Rangers are now a new club, however the history of the Rangers 1873 will never be taken away and it is in my heart. However instead of a new page being turned, we have just released a sequel. Just my thoughts on the matter.
